I literally hate the lincare in Abilene Texas. For starters, I have been with this company for about five years. I called in an order for delivery of oxygen for Friday the 22nd of May 2020; they never showed up. I am on 10 to 15 liters of oxygen, which is high flow. I am waiting on a double lung and heart transplant, and they have the audacity not to show. Needless to say, this is not the first time they have done this, rather the fourth. I am on route for Fridays. When I finally called, the answering service answered and said theyre not going to deliver me until the 25th of May Monday. They also said you may not receive it that day either because its Memorial Day, so you may recieve it the 26th Tuesday. Not to mention I am completely out of oxygen, I have a concentrator, but oftentimes the concentrator does not give my body the air I need. Lincare have not serviced my machine in two-years, even though I mentioned that to them. I have doctors appointments on Saturdays in Dallas. I cannot travel if I dont have oxygen. Also, they wanted me to get a new prescription from my doctor stating that I am 10 to 15 liters of oxygen the reason I am useing a lot of oxygen, so I did. Then they complained how much each one cost. I have three insurance: Blue Cross blue shield, Medicare and Medicaid. I am contacting the Better Business bureau, my Case manager, and my doctors, and I am going to have them contact their Corporate office and report them. Finally, if I had a power outage today, the ambulance would have to come get me. When talking to them they have an apathy attitude. Please do not choose this company as your oxygen supplier. Mike.
Ive never had a medical company actually refuse me service, but this company did. I have used them since 2001, and when I moved to the Abilene location, they could not locate my records. I use a machine to breathe, and I do have health insurance. This company simply refused to do the work necessary to update my records. I have my own copies of my medical records, and they refused to even look at them. If you are using medical supplies to stay alive, this company will not be there for you when you need them most.
Have been helpful in the past ...but recently, would not return phone calls or even act like they cared...so discouraged with local service. Home office said what I needed was to be done locally, that was a joke, so they gave me an on line address ...they fixed me right up....
I’ve not received dme supplies since September. My “records aren’t updated” I “don’t have a referral”. “We don’t do that”. The list goes on. Most of us rely on these medical supplies for approved medical purposes yet there is no sense of urgency from this company to comply with these orders. And they rarely call me unless I call first, even when the ball is in their court. I’m so over this treatment
Abilene Lincare office is non-responsive, to say the least. In addition, the letters they send for verification that we have done we are supposed to do are snarky bordering on downright rude, not to mention badly timed. If we had a choice, we would not use this company.
