Nice little Mediterranean market in Alameda. I go for spices, candy, and cookies. They also have a nice selection of sauces for rounding out your feast. There is a small produce case and several freezers with Middle Eastern and Hindi food selections, as well as home and beauty products. The candy selection is pretty extensive, being a lot of British and European snacks as well as some interesting tidbits from other parts of the world. On my next trip Id like to try some of the tandoori chicken I saw listed on the meat case. All in all, this place is worth a stop.

This is my go to place from excellent mutton and lamb. Terrific dry goods selection, and speciality items, like falafel spice mix and tamarind syrup, and baklava. Everything you need to make beautiful Mediterranean dishes.

I stupidly lost my phone and called this market to see if I had left it there or if it had been turned in. The guys there went out of their way to try to find it, even reviewing security camera footage for me. It ended up not even being at the store, but I really appreciate their efforts. Also, the store was very clean and looked like it has a wide variety of foods you wouldnt see at a supermarket.

Last night we went to Jazeera Market to buy Half & Half for our morning coffee & two Snickers candy bars. The Snickers were either old or had been overheated so the chocolate was white & crumbly. We ate them anyway.Jazeera only had Half & Half in these tiny individual containers - and they charged 20 cents for each one! I normally use 4 in my large cup of coffee so that would be 80 cents for the cream. However when I opened the first two of them this morning, they were spoiled. So we threw them away & drank our coffee black. Grrr.I am sure they would return my money if I took the half & half’s back, but it’s not worth the trouble to return. I won’t be shopping at Jazeera Market again - I don’t need the irritation of being sold spoiled Snickers & half & half.
