I’m so very disappointed. This will make our second review on a different product. You got us!! Lesson learned. My last review I got a phone call asking if “we had a problem.” Well we talked it out and everything was okay! We got yanked around on a 3,500 couch, each time it was due to be paid off we would go in and they would say no, you owe more. Okay, cool. We made a mistake and miscounted. We FINALLY paid our couch off. Yay!(Even tho it broke and it took three weeks for them to speak with each other, meaning every time we would call an Brandon hadn’t spoke with Dustin and the messages weren’t being relayed, and no one was getting back with us until weeks later so we never even bothered to get it fixed.)Now fast forward to now, we got a TV,Brandon said we would pay it off in 6 months. He said he would set the payments up so that it would be paid off as the same as cash price! My husband got laid off, his job pulled up without notice and said he was seasonal so we called to ask them to work with us until he started his new job which was withholding him a week.Well we asked him about the TV that we had met $100 over the same as cash price on in the allotted time frame, thinking that was paid off and a payment on our switch. They then tell us that we DIDNT MEET the same as cash price, even tho we paid the amount Brandon set us an paid each month!! They now tell us we owe 11 more payments of $130 an some change equaling up to 750???? That’s way more then $750 then Brandon tells us that “we have until Friday (already Wednesday) to figure something out or to return the items!! The tv that was supposed to be paid off?! You’d just take it? even though it was your word?Something was way off at this point; WAY off.An when my husband asked to speak to Dustin, Brandon was rude and said he could do whatever Dustin could do and refused to transfer. I will be returning the switch, and we will buy this very last product from RAC since you’ve already taken $941! and spreading the word everywhere I can that this place is not where you wanna go unless you like to be lied too, time wasted, and money taken. So very disappointing.
The furniture we obtained from there has made us itch from day one even though its supposedly brand new.Bugs. Nice.

They have always came through for me and my family. An amazing management team has consistently provided the best quality product for the price. And they are very understanding of life and all its twists and turns. A great place overall to go to build a wonderful collection of modern furniture.
Destiny was rude and acted like she thought she was better than me and did everything she could to not help me today. When I asked for a refund, she acted like I lied and that I didnt make my $10 week special payment online. I showed her the receipt I received in my email, she got snotty and said they didnt show it on her end and a refund would be issued once it did. But didnt give me a timeframe. Im glad she kept adding things I would need additional to rent from them,(even though online and in store promo said $10 for your first week on all items) she makes the company ugly. I wouldnt recommend or go back.
I love this Rent a Center. The manager is always kind and understanding. Just make sure you don’t ignore them and if you need to return the merchandise then go ahead and if you still want it just go back and resume. They work with you and just want you to be transparent.
I would give them a 0 if I could. They were supposed to bring me a king size bed room and the whole set between 1 and 3 I called them about 2:50 and then they tell me they wont be out this was on a Saturday . The tells me cant get there till Wednesday. Went somewhere else got it the same day. Going to tell them to come get my sofa now and have nothing more to follow with them. Have been buying from them almost 9 yrs no more.go some place else.
Dustin has always came through for me, renting and replacing damaged equipment has been a breeze I guess most of these bad reviews are from customers that couldnt pay on time and still want the best stuff ....wow ..like the mentality really ..anyway been doing business with them for years never once had a issue . Always paid on time and paid my equipment off within the 90 days every time . Guess thats why they like me cause Im a doer 😎 . Besides that its a rental store you get what you pay for and by pay I mean be on time and dont bite more than you can chew. Update 12/30/2020: Ive been doing business with Dustin for years and Im reading reviews on here that honestly sounds like ex employee not doing theyre job its sad to see uneducated folks on here not knowing the situation or trouble these folks go through for customers not to own up to theyre own decision making and knowing what kind of business this is . Honestly this store is great . Never once had a issue in 10 years, never once did I not know what money I put in to things . They are straight up the best place to do business with and I would reject these false reviews just cause they are broke and dont know how to pay and I understand that this business isnt for charity, sometimes deliveries are late because theyve had a few bad employees who like to run their mouth on the review of this business and let people basically sit there and wait because they only have one person doing the deliveries because these employees dont know how to show up to work thats not Dustins fault thats not the businesss fault thats the individual creep who decides to make a bad review on this business because they didnt want to do their job and they get their friends and family members to like their reviews . If you want a new product ask Dustin for a new one and that you would wait until there was a new one in and when she would be a decent guy in contact you about the new product some of these other reviews are being reported because they are in conflict of interest and do not give a honest opinion or experience of this facility I would recommend this place to anyone any day of the week Dustin in his team are always there to help.

This is the most unethical store Ive ever rented from. They are very mismanaged, my husband and myself rented a 65 inch TV and surround sound system. We were told by sale associated that the TV was New, just came out of the box. Then I asked to see the surround sound speakers, so another associate said they would go get them out of the back. When he came out the box was opened, I asked why the box was opened. They told us, I opened the box in the back so you all could see them. Then we were told they couldnt deliver them that day, they were to busy. When delivered, the TV was NOT NEW and the speakers were damaged. I called the store, and the manager Dustin Smith and talked to him about it. Then he said oh, well the TV was rented about, but it was only out 2 days. Then, I spoke to the district manager, at Acceptance Now. Come to find out, again, I had been lied too. The TV and surround sound had been out, for a few weeks... I do have to say the district manager at Acceptance Now, was very helpful... I called Dustin back, a second time, requesting, a New TV and surround sound system.... When I went in to pay the monthly payment, Dustin was to busy to take my payment... My time be valuable, I had to leave, after waiting up to an hour on him... So, I came back the next morning, and they wanted to charge me a late fee, and they still had NOT, brought out the new system... So, I told them to come pick up the surround sound. We decided at that point to pay weekly... Now the TV, isnt working... My husband call and spoke with Dustin Smith again. Well they were to busy to bring the TV, that day, and put us off again. He told my husband, they would be here at 12:00 oclock. They once again, didnt show up. I call the district manager, to be told, they had 24 to 48 hours to call me back. Once again, I called Ryan, to find out why they had not shown up... He was rude, wanted to talk over me, I told him I was not going to be disrespected by him... Then found out Dustin had lied again. He didnt even set it up, for the TV, to be sent out and the delivery man didnt show up until 3:00 oclock... So finally, Ryan offered to send a TV, out today, and again it was a used TV... Again, I reminded him, I WANTED A NEW TV, and he replied, I dont have one. Again, ethics, Lies from the beginning, mismanaged, unorganized... DONT RENT FROM THIS STORE, I have been lied too, yelled at by RYAN, DUSTIN SMITH. Why lie???
I went in to get some livingroom furniture and the lady seemed uninterested in helping me. One couch they had on display did not even have legs on it and she was not able to get an answer as to whether it even had any plus it was scratched and obviously used. I told her I was actually interested in an item I saw online and she said she would check other stores to see if they had it in stock. If I am going to pay their prices I want brand new not someone elses used junk. Then I wasted my time filling out an application only to find out she apparently left and a different person was there instead. He was rude and would NOT even take my application without four references, I only had three because people dont want their information given out. I told him never mind and thanks for wasting my time. I went down the street to a competitor and not only did they take 3 references but they had prices about half the price and ordered it brand new for me. I used to deal with Rent a Center years ago and all the employees and the manager were always great, not anymore. I wont go back and I dont recommend them.

Do NOT rent from these people! They will like to your face just to make a sale and omit important details like frequency of payments and you wont even find out about it until you have already handed them money! I will NEVER rent from them again there are better places. Tryst me

I would give this store, and especially its management, a 0 if I could. I applied online for a specific sofa, then waited 2 days for a call. No call came. I called the store and spoke with Dustin, the manager. Told him what I was looking at. He said he would see if he could bring it in for me, then he would call me back. No call came. Waited 2 more days, then I called him. He apologized and said he had instructed Hayley(?) to call me with information. Lie. He said he would take care of it that day and would call me back. No call. Nine days later still mo call. Wow. Great way to manage a business.Today I called the RAC in Sevierville. They have my sofa IN STOCK and will deliver it Wednesday of next week (my choice). So impressed with the Sevierville store!My opinion on the Alcoa store is to replace management and bring it up to par with their other store. It took a whole 10 minutes to be taken care of at the Sevierville store!

Ordered a high end tv and a pre leased, scratched tv was delivered in its place. Delivery time was not as initially expected, and I ended up returning the tv the next morning and picking up the one I originally ordered myself. Overall, shop elsewhere. These folks used to be a decent place to shop, but not anymore.
We paid 1700 dollars for a fridge it broke with in 18 months and the didnt uphold the warranty on it such a RIP off place to do business

I went in and specifically requested a certain model of a Samsung TV and got the wrong model and the wrong remote for the TV that they did give me. Then in order to avoid waiting 3 days to get the Xbox that I also got, I had to drive to Lenoir City location where the associate proceeded to drop it three times right in front of me. They only care about taking your money.Update: I have had the TV and Xbox One X for less than my 90 days same as cash period. I called yesterday to see how much they would need to pay of off and for a USED 2 year old TV and a USED XB they told me $1200! No thanks. I can buy a brand new bigger Samsung TV WITH HDR and Xbox for less than that after tax. Returning today. 0 stars.
Worst place ever, go somewhere else.. Aarons in aloca or lenoir city.. steer clear of this disaster!! I always check reviews before purchasing anything so I hope this helps someone else and saves them from all the bs.
