I’m really disappointed and feel bad that I even have to write this review but I wanted to share my recent experience with MAC Flooring.If you don’t want to read this really long review, I’ll say it here as well: I do not recommend hiring MAC flooring for any project large or small because they are lacking in quality, communication, professionalism, and most of all empathy for their customers.Here’s why:I was looking to get baseboards, stacked stone around my fireplaces, and new staircase installed. Since I haven’t worked with them before, I decided I would see how they do with baseboards first.My interaction started with Bobbi and she was wonderful. She was professional and communicated effectively.It all went down hill when it was passed on to the scheduler, Andrew. Bobbi said he would call on Friday at the latest to get the work scheduled, well I didn’t hear from him until Tuesday the following week. Okay, no problem, we got the work scheduled for Friday, May 28th. Great, I was excited at that point! He said they would be there between 8:30 - 9:30am.Andrew called around 8:45am and said I’m so sorry the crew won’t be making it because his lead guy lost his mother the night before. No problem at all, and I sent my condolences. He said he could send someone else on Saturday morning between 8:30-9:30am. I said great!Saturday is here and I’m waiting and waiting and waiting. The crew arrived at 11:37am!! 11:37! The worst part is no one called me to say they would be late. It took for me to call Andrew 4 times, and Bobbi, until I finally received a text from Andrew. At this point, I am beyond frustrated as I cancelled my Saturday plans to accommodate this work.After they arrive, Andrew assured me that even though they are late, they will complete all the work that same day. Two guys showed up from “Dell Floors” or something like that. The main guy’s name was Willie. He did not wear a mask the entire time he was there.I always feed anyone that comes to my house especially if they are working. So I bought them steak sandwiches from jersey mikes because they rushed over from another job (which that story kept changing). They proceeded to take their full hour of lunch in my garage, which I thought because they were late they would just work through it, but nope. I did not say anything because I said to myself Andrew said they would finish today, so I’ll leave them alone and as long as they finish, I’m good.Well, they didn’t finish and now my entire Memorial Day weekend was ruined because I had to supervise the work before I left on my trip out of town. Willie said he would be back first thing Monday morning at 8:00am. Guess what? He showed up by himself at 9:45am. Worked all day, and was too tired by the end of the day to finish alone, so he called 3 additional guys to help him. They finished around 6:00pm on Monday 5/31.They left drops of paint on my brand new tile floor that I had to clean up.This could have all been a much better experience if they just communicated with honesty and transparency. I did not appreciate the lack of empathy from the project team and I was not offered anything for my inconvenience and waste of my time. I wasn’t looking for a free handout, I paid them in full. It just would have been nice to feel like someone cared about how frustrating this experience was, but it was very clear they did not care about winning my business for future projects. Complete disappointment.I do not recommend MAC flooring for any project, large or small.

From selection of wood flooring I worked with Alex and he was very helpful and knowledgeable about the various types of flooring. I love the flooring he helped me select! Andrew did a wonderful job being flexible and accommodating with my timeframe as close of escrow was delayed a few times. Job was completed in less time than estimated and done very well.

In December 2020 MAC Flooring replaced the floors in four bedrooms with hardwood. The two man team -- brothers if I remember correctly -- Pedro and Roberto, did an excellent job. They were there every morning at the designated time and started and finished the entire project as originally estimated. We would highly recommend MAC Flooring.

Great company. Alex was very helpful when looking for my carpet and helping me pick the right one.Install and everything was set up and ran smoothly. Installers were very responsible and left the place the way it was, maybe even alittle cleaner.Would highly recommend them to all.

Very satisfied customer. From the moment I came, to the moment I left, every employee I worked with was helpful in guiding me in what would be best to do. They helped me with insurance information and with pricing that would be best for my family, as I have children and animals. The workers were great. They were neat and clean, and always on time. Any time I had questions, they would call back right away. They did beautiful work on both the floor and baseboard. Everything went smoothly. It is rare I would rate a business this highly; usually I always feel like there is room for improvement. However, they just did everything wonderfully. Also, one other thing that really impressed me was he saw I had a fireman key chain, and he gives discounts to police and fire workers. I explained it was a gift from a friend of my husbands, who works for the fire department. I said my husband is in the military, and he said he would give me a discount for that as well.

Found this gem of a woman here on Yelp. When I spoke to Linda, she asked me some questions to narrow down what I needed. She then looked about and found me a great deal. Super friendly and professional. All told, from first contact to finished installation was less than a week. Joel is the person who installed the carpets. Great guy, he arrived exactly on time. He did a terrific job installing the pad and carpets and did the two rooms in under 4 hours. Could not be happier with the service or price. Thank you Linda!

Honest company that has both great sales, service and keeps its promises. I decided to use MAC Flooring based on another popular reviews page online. I did do other estimates in other companies and wanted to make sure things were lining up the best. Then, I decided to order both laminate wood and porcelain tile. Theyre a local business and I wanted to support them.If you have problems theyre willing to further explain any questions. One of the tiles looked like it was raised, which was no big deal, but they we had a meeting with the supervisor and I decided to keep it. It is one thing to sale, but another thing if they have good customer service. They are also really good with scheduling and timeliness. Their pricing was also really good and I recommend MAC Flooring to others.

First off, the guy is really rude. When we asked him questions about the different floors, he respond with a harsh toned answer. The only good thing is that they have a fairly good amount of selections.

MAC flooring was a delight to work with. Rick is extremely knowledgable and helpful. He helped me pick out the perfect runner for my stairs. I was desperate because I moved in with my 10 year old golden retriever who kept slipping on the stairs. The runner is perfect and is really pretty on the floors. The 2 gentlemen who installed the runner did an amazing job as well! MAC went above and beyond on all aspects of customer service. I highly recommend them! All of the staff is a pleasure to work with!

We had MAC flooring re-do the flooring for our entire house (~3800 sq ft) after we had an unfortunate event with a burst pipe. We did large plank wood tiles throughout the entire downstairs, re-did the stairs to wood floors with white risers, and wood flooring all throughout the entire upstairs.The entire project from start to finish took about 5 weeks from demo to laying tile, fixing issues from our previous flooring, installing wood floors, finishing touches and final cleanup. Given the size of the project, we were in constant contact with the folks from MAC who were helpful and responsive. Rick helped us to select the flooring, and plan for the details that would come about as we pulled up and out our old flooring. Scott the project manager was out here regularly checking in, working on fixing issues (doors not fitting after floor height changes, filling some gaps we made when tearing out trim, etc.). Our crews were hard working, professional and enjoyable to be around. When we had issues or questions, Kristin, was responsive and helped to quickly sort the problem so that we could move forward. Each time we needed to make a change to our plan, the team was great about communicating the changes so that we could understand and work together for next steps.We also had an issue with our sunken living room where it was hard to visually make out the difference in height with the new matching floors potentially causing a trip hazard. The team helped us to come up with a solution and came back out to remediate continuously checking if we were happy with the result. Once everything was done, they sent out a cleaning crew to clean all the dust that was created over the job so that we could get back to our normal lives again.We are loving our new floors. What started as a disaster ended with a beautifully updated home and getting to know a local business and people that we genuinely enjoy being around. Thank you MAC flooring!

So the salesman Dave was awesome the crew of angel Eric Pedro and Eddie did awesome job on the floor however the reason for the 1 star rating is the communication they have there at Mac flooring was suppose have carpet installed on certain day to find out was another day so we were very inconvenienced and the owner is kinda rude also

Not only did Mac Flooring help us decide the perfect carpet within our budget, NO heavy sell was included. Rick, the salesman, knew his carpeting. The gentlemen that laid the carpet, Arturo and Miguel knew their trade, also. They vacuumed every spec of loose carpeting before they put everything back exactly the way it was. These are great guys to have in your home. They were so helpful!!!! We are exceptionally pleased. This is the only dealer to to business with.

Excellent service, staff, and product! Would hire again! MAC Flooring removed our carpeting and put in laminate flooring upstairs. They also carpeted our stairs. Soon Ill have them back to do downstairs. The workers were very clean about their work while they do what they were doing. It was excellent! The office staff was also very nice, and the salesperson was very helpful.

Im a realtor and I have used MAC Flooring for the past 3 years on any of my listings that need flooring replaced prior to going on the market. I also refer them to all my clients and friends. Their prices are very competitive but most importantly their service from start to finish is superior to any other flooring company/contractor I have worked with. The installers, Tobin and Jeff, were extremely hard working and considerate. They did a beautiful job and cleaned up all of the debris, and they took care not to damage our newly painted walls. Im very happy with the product and the workmanship.

I just had a great experience with Mac Flooring. Rick came out immediately and measured and gave me a good price. The selection was more than any place I checked out.

The team at MAC Flooring did a phenomenal job on installing our new carpet. The sales rep listened to our concerns and made a couple of recommendations. There was no pressure to buy a certain brand or product, and she gave pros and cons for the carpets we were evaluating. The installation went very well. They were early and finished quickly, cleaning up and making sure everything was acceptable. The follow-up was great and I did have one small area that I wanted them to look at. They came out the next day and fixed it to my satisfaction. When we change the flooring in our living room and kitchen next year, we will definitely use MAC Flooring!

I recently had Mac Flooring replace the carpet in one of my rental properties. I had 3 days to turn around the property and Mac Flooring was able to make recommendations and deliver in that time frame. I highly recommend Mac Flooring for your flooring needs!

A little high priced but very nice lady

PROS: Amazing service. Its a little store located in Aliso Viejo. The are very popular and the reps spent a long time with us going over their products, even though they were packed with other customers. Reps were friendly and knowledgeable. Several online reviews raving about their quality installation. They glue + nail their installation on the second floor. First floor is glue only. They use only the highest quality of material and all their installers are in-house W-2 workers. MAC Flooring uses primarily Sikabond T21 glue on all their installs. They warranty all their floors, any problems, just call MAC Flooring. They are a bit pricey but Grant was willing to call me up and work with me on the quote. I requested upgraded 5 1/4 baseboards. MAC Flooring primes and paints all their baseboard to match the crown molding in the house. In addition they caulk the baseboards as well.CONS: They were going to take 5 days to install, which is NOT bad at all. However we are so crunched on time due to our move-in date being postponed for 2 weeks by the builder. That unfortunately forced us to rule out MAC Flooring. We were very sad by the delayed construction. We really wanted and trusted MAC Flooring.

MAC installed our new wood floors in our new home in Coto de Caza and I couldnt be happier with the product and service that they provided! Their prices seemed about average, but their service was outstanding! I was extremely impressed with the post installation cleaning service that was offered and the follow up that made me know they care about the work that they do. I highly recommend MAC Flooring!
