Jayme was incredibly helpful in assisting me in making sure I had the correct coverage and I was easily able to find everything I needed. A quick and simple transaction.
Awesome experience with the team at this location. Nick went out of his way to help me and did more than he needed to in order to help reconcile an issue I was having with using my gear card rewards. I have been to several Guitar Centers in the Atlanta area, but this is the one I keep coming back to. I spent quite a bit of time testing out gear, and even after telling staff I wasn’t planning on buying, they still devoted quite a bit of time to ensure my experience was great. Shane was incredibly helpful with recommendations. His excitement and passion for music showed every time he picked up a guitar, and he never got tired of bringing me different gear to test out. Jeremy had a similar disposition. If they didn’t have gear out on the floor, they would go through the trouble of getting it from the back, always willing and kind. Same goes for Katie. Yes, they get busy, especially today. But they still managed to take the time to make sure I had a great experience. I highly recommend this GC location. And definitely ask for Shane, Jeremy or Katie!

How interesting that 5 days ago someone else reviewed this location is not having any interest in taking care of customers. Thats the exact experience I just had.I just walked into guitar center I hoping to check out an upgrade for my nylon acoustic guitar. As I walk through the store not one person ever said hello, or asked if I needed help.This location has the acoustic guitars in the humidity controlled room, which is great. Inside that room was an associate who was apparently working on display because there were ladders in front of the guitars where I couldnt reach them.After walking around the room for at least 5 minutes, this person not only never once said hello or asked if I needed help but they looked irritated at my presence the entire time.Its no problem, there are other music stores in this area that I can go to where Im sure the service will be much better. I was ready to buy today, and Im disappointed at the complete and total lack of customer service, but I would rather spend my money someplace that is appreciative of its customers.
I have been in there four different times in six months and have waited and waited and waited to purchase items. If the phone rings they will help that customer out instead of putting them on hold. You better not hope that another employee does need help theyll stop ringing you up and go help that person. The cost of what youre buying doesnt make any difference either (not that should)! I loved the one off North Druid Hills this one is useless. Find a different one.
The staff was helpful and knowledgeable. There were plenty of floor models for us to try in pianos, speakers, headphones, microphones and more. We were able to make our purchase easily and quickly.

Kudos to Will at Guitar Center of Alpharetta for delivering an outstanding customer experience for me and my family. After a poor experience at the Guitar Center in Lawrenceville, I decided to visit Righteous Guitars in Alpharetta. I had no desire to visit another Guitar Center. However, I accidentally called the Guitar Center in Alpharetta instead of Righteous Guitars, and was so impressed with Will over the phone that I decided to give the Guitar Center in Alpharetta a try. My experience could not have been better - it was a night-and-day difference. Will was very attentive and demonstrated interest in understanding what I was looking for and what my concerns were. He even set me and my family up in a private room for me to try out different guitars. We ended up purchasing a Gibson Les Paul Studio, a Blackstar amp, and a Yamaha keyboard set. Unfortunately, the keyboard set couldn’t fit in our car. Will and his colleagues went out of their way to help us get our gear home by unboxing the equipment and loading everything piece by piece into our car. The level of customer service we experienced was absolutely top notch. Furthermore, after a few days with the Les Paul Studio, I decided that I wanted to try out a Les Paul Classic and returned to the store a week later, where Will delivered an outstanding experience yet again. He went out of his way by cleaning and setting up the Les Paul Classic from top to bottom, adding new strings to the guitar as well. The hourlong drive to Alpharetta was worth every penny on both occasions, and I would strongly recommend this location to anyone who is interested in purchasing an electric guitar or keyboard. No help at all. I stood at the front counter and watched employees talk with each other. Other employees walking around as though they were too busy. I needed help and no one cared to ask. The store was not busy at all. I never had that problem at the other Guitar Center in Atlanta.
This is the worst guitar center I have been to 10 years. Every last one guitar is out of tune, rusty and just sounds horrible. The employees are always on top of you and its just a really horribly run store. And the blonde repair guy needs a serious attitude adjustment. Wont be spending any money at this store ever again
I walked in here as such a noob. I had no clue where to look or find anything. I had a few people come up to me asking if I needed help. They ended up helping me out and helping find the right product for a gift that I was purchasing. Overall, I had a really pleasant time here and the staff was amazing at helping me out.
What an amazing shopping experience provided by Nick Alper. From the moment we walked in, our family was greated with a smile. I let him know exactly why we were there, and he was with us patiently answering all of our questions. We never once felt pressure to buy anything additionally. He was very knowledgeable and looked for the answer if needed. Thank you Nick for taking so much pride in what you do.
Nice store. I was guitar shopping and nobody asked if they could help me; so I left. Very little inventory anyway. Not totally their fault. The labor force and supply chain are a mess. I like Guitar Center and hope they do well.
Id only go here or any Guitar Center at this point to buy strings. Your tech department needs some serious help. I brought in a Les Paul Studio Deluxe a few months ago that was in need of a setup and your guitar tech charged me for the setup but told me that the guitar was obviously stored in a hot shed somewhere and the neck was too warped and twisted to ever be setup correctly by anyone. I left GC that day with a guitar where the action was sky-high and the intonation was off. I brought it to Righteous Guitars in Alpharetta and paid (again) to have it setup and they did it with no problem. Low action, no buzzing, stays in tune, intonation is perfect. This seems to be a problem across all GCs. Dont offer the service if you cant get qualified people to do it. Ill never use your guitar tech/repair department again.
We absolutely loved the easy service we received. We walk out of there with guitar, Amp ect with ease. Now my son is excited to start his guitar lessons.

The customer service at this store was very poor. Several people were just hanging out behind the counter looking at their phones. No one asked me if I needed help or even looked at me. I asked several people for help and everyone seemed more concerned what was on their phone then my needs. It’s a shame because I love guitar center but these guys just don’t care. If I hadn’t came such a long ways for this guitar I would of just left. I am truly amazed how these guys still have a job.
Poor and disappointing customer service. Curbside pickup is promoted but no-one delivers the purchase outside to the car. I had to go inside. It took long to find my order and even longer to get the receipt. In the meantime the salesperson touched everything from the items I purchased to the ID I had to show. The salesperson acted unfriendly and as it was my fault that it took so long and how I even could dare to request his time to obtain my already paid for purchase. I would not recommend shopping here. There is a Guitar center in Atlanta and one in Lawrenceville, these have a friendly and much better customer service.

I had a great experience here on Saturday 11-15-2020. My main reason for going was to buy a pedal and to find a tremolo arm that was missing on my guitar. Of course I didnt bring my guitar, so I passed on the bar I was offered. As I was leaving with my new pedal, he gave me a bar in the hopes that it would fit. Nice service!

Poor customer service. My boyfriend came in looking for a mic and three associates totally disregarded him. They were concerned with putting boxes of inventory away instead of making an actual sale. I understand human interaction because of this virus should be minimal but Good lord at least try to make some money from me.Won’t be returning. I will just order online.
Not so good for being a Taylor certified over all I like the store and service, but repair not really. Took in my taylor guitar for a crack repair on the head stock and being that it didnt crack all the way it just got repaired and not swapped for a new one it sounds good and all but you can still feel the crack and I guess at the time of removing the excess glue they also removed the stain and clear on the wood and nothing was done about that it was given back to me that way. So now you can easily see were the guitar got worked on, wish they had done something to make it less noticeable.
Ok, staff was confused when I mentioned the high cost of their products compared to just a few years ago.
Walked in to purchase a Cajon. There wasn’t anyone really in the store but no associates out to help find what I was looking for, had to ask a couple of times. I eventually had someone to help me, Miles was his name. He didn’t want to check any stock or help me with any accessories I was looking for, then when we went to checkout, it took him awhile to get through the process. Then, I handed him my cash, and one of the dollars had some tape on it from it being taped to a card as a Christmas gift. He questioned the validity of the dollar bill and eventually asked a manager over. The manager looked at him and said “it’s a dollar, I’m sure it’s not a counterfeit”. And then another few minutes and I finally got to leave with the item. I understand checking for counterfeit money, especially around the holidays. But, when it’s a one dollar bill, and you’ve shown him the tape comes off easily and said the story, and just to reiterate A ONE DOLLAR BILL 😂. It didn’t seem like he knew what was going on. He then said something that made it worse. He said “I’ve been here three months, you’d think I’d have it down by now”. I really hope when you go in, and see Miles working, that he’s having a better day maybe. Hopefully they can train him a little more!
One of the employees, Rocky, was great, the other was quick to frustration and couldnt answer what I felt like were pretty basic questions. I also tried out a few of their instruments, its clear that once theyre on the wall, theyre pretty much never touched again, except by customers. Dust, little stains, smudges galore, buzzing that can easily be fixed within a few minutes, even on supposedly new/high price instruments...if anything I feel like they should at least occasionally take down the expensive stuff just to fine tune it and make it presentable...But it was a clean enough store, that one employee was good enough to cancel out the other, not great stock, but if youre a beginner-intermediate player of any variety this place should do you right.
It’s hit or miss at this location. Some employees are nice and a joy to work with and some are complete a-holes. I’d recommend ordering online and picking up in-store. With that being said I still wouldn’t recommend going to this location
You shouldnt have asked!I went, with big hopes, to get a Christmas gift for my husband (hes a guitar aficionado) and I left empty handed! LOUSY, USELESS service!!!! And the kid that helped me, obviously didnt want to be there or be bothered!

Went in for a keyboard piano for my daughter, our first purchase of the kind and was approached right away (pounced!) by sales guy named Tanner, asking if my daughter and I were together, weird considering shes 11 and I was basically holding her hand. We were on a budget but he proceeded to show us the most expensive models, and left us to look. Another salesman was around when I had a question about one I wanted and he was super helpful. Went to check out with him and Tanner rudely cut in, I could only assume to make sure he could get the commission or credit for the sale. Awkward situation, and really I didnt want him to check us out because he was pushy and borderline rude. Kept throwing around the keyboard like a toy and trying to sidestep giving me what ended up being a 5% floor model discount (also realized later that keyboard was missing a $25 music stand attachment piece too) . Kept pushing and making me feel cheap bc I didnt get their warranty. I almost walked out at one point when he went for approval and probably should have, but I didnt want to ruin my daughters excitement. They took care of that for us 😠 He was approached by someone who walked in during my checkout and got super distracted, threw my receipt towards me and no thank you or anything. Wont be back due to this employees odd way of customer service and comission structure here.
Excellent music store. We were looking for digital pianos and found the best selection here. We were able to play multiple pianos and the staff was knowledgeable and helpful but not pushy. The store has a large selection of other music equipment from instruments to electronic accessories. I recommend this store.
Not sure why, but rude seems to be a requirement for employment at Guitar Center. Looking for a DJ controller, which I was told could be found at this location; was quickly told by the sales rep that they did not have it and was given the typical it takes time for online to reflect whats actually in store excuse. Decided not to except the lame excuse and do my own search, which I was able to locate the product almost immediately on the top self. I guest they are too busy playing around with all of the musical toys available in the store to provide good service.
They have a great selection of equipment, great prices, and sales people are very friendly and helpful. Even the managers here go out of their way to help. Impressed and pleased with all aspects.

Love it! My husband plays music professionally and always buys gear here. The selection is great and the staff is really helpful, even happily offering recommendations. We’ve also used the repairs department for 2 different guitars and they were easy, quick experiences. And renting equipment is easy, too; for really big gigs we can scale up with extra PA’s and stands for just a day or two. Definitely the best all-around music shop in the area.
Ive been going to Guitar Centers all of my life, but this one is wonderful, not just because of the excellent selection of equipment, but the awesome people who work here who are always willing to help, and make sure youre finding everything you need. If youre unsure what you need, theyre quick and informative to help you figure it out and take time to make your time there a superb experience every single time. Rusty knows how to find and hire the best people. When I ever I come in, he is always very helpful and kind. Keep up the wonderful work!

I came here today to purchase a guitar. I found the one I wanted. It needed a little adjustment l, in order to get the buzz out of the strings, action was to low. There wasnt anyone there who knew how to do it, but they proceeded to beat the guitar around on the table, and try to adjust the truss rod, almost stripped the nut because they used the wrong size alan wrench. I politely told them that it was fine and proceeded to the door, and they said, have a good day. They could care less about selling an instrument

After being helped looking through the new guitars the associate said based on what I was looking for hed recommend this used one. They are awesome here. And I really had a great customer service experience. Some things can be a little pricey but quality is everything and it is a true music store that sells real music equipment and instruments. You can get the most for your money.
Bought a used les Paul guitar (for $650) and the neck broke. When I went to get it repaired (which cost $250), I was told the neck had already been broken and wasn’t repaired properly. When i took it back to guitar center they said sorry, we won’t give you more than $315 for it!! Really? You sell a damaged guitar, and won’t at least give me back what I originallly paid? Or anything else? Maybe $315 plus a store credit. The manage at Alpharetta was dismissive and could have cared less. She reminded me that it wasn’t returned in 45 days so there “was nothing they could do.” So I put it on eBay and within 10 minutes sold it for $490....this place shouldn’t be trusted, and I don’t think anyone should buy anything from them or sell them used equipment.
Tanner is probably the best worker here. He has helped me every time and I have only compliments about the service. Other employees are alright, but he has stood out in customer service. Prices are modest, and are what you see from other big box guitar stores.

Bought a PreSonus studio one on the recommendation of one of the staff there. It did not work on my PC for some reason. I did not like the interface and the drivers had problems. So I went back and Jonathan was very courteous and knowledgeable and set me up with the Scarlet system. I will now load that and see what kind of luck I have. The customer service was great! I will be returning to outfit a larger studio.
They have nice collection of guitar. Wide variety of electric guitar but when its come to acoustic I think the collection is little limited. But still the collection will satisfy everyone.

I purchased the item used online [picture attached] from the Alpharetta,Ga location that clearly shows the Line 6 POD PRO guitar processor in a 3 space rack mount case and also stated in the descriptions that it comes with a foot controller on May 10th 2020. I received the Line 6 POD PRO without the 3 space rack mount case and no foot controller on May 26th 2020, so I called the store in Alpharetta,Ga on May 27th 2020 late afternoon hoping things might show up the next day, and was told they found the foot controller and would over night it to me. But when I asked about the 3 space rack mount again clearly posted for sale and Ive paid for it, I was told it is no longer in the store anymore! I was then very upset I contacted customer support and was told everything has to be handled through this store, which clearly is not going so well. I have had to go as far as contacting the police to file a report and filling out a statement. I am very upset at the business and how its being conducted from the guitar center store in Alpharetta,Ga and also customer support not handling the situation well at all. I do NOT recommend this unfriendly store location and I will never purchase from guitar center online again!

I want to love this store but it seems like I’m constantly waiting for help when I go there. The dude at the music lessons desk is super helpful but I’ve had to wait for upwards of 10 minutes at the main counter prior to being helped.
Good selection of Acoustic and electric guitars. I actually visited the store to help a friend sell a guitar. Awesome atmosphere and the staff were helpful and knowledgeable.

Huge collections of hi tech sound products, music instruments of all kinds needless to say, Guitars.By the way, most important part is the people/ sales/ product specialists who are much more knowledgeable and eager to help than many big name competitors.One causion: Though GC has an impressive return policy of 45 days, please check which items are non returnable. Otherwise great place for your musical needs.
