I wish I had option to rate ZERO. Very unfriendly staff in grocery and meat section (however the restaurant staff were very friendly comparatively) . The lady at the billing in the grocery store especially was very rude, arrogant and un-polite with customers and talking of meat, person in the meat section didn’t care to even weight the meat, charged us for asked (4lbs) but ended up giving just 2lbs meat with full fat despite of clearly mentioning No Fat at the counter. Was very careless creating UNTIDY atmosphere. I myself would never go back to this store for groceries or meat and neither would recommend this to anyone.
I would give it a negative score if that was an option. The manager is rude and obnoxious. Purchased an appliance from the store which did not work ( the plug will not go into the electric outlet). He refused to take a return - I had the receipt - which is their stated policy.Really disappointed. I just left the non working appliance with him without a refund. Please beware before purchasing anything from this store
My go to Indian grocery. Good collection and also has a kitchen that serves Indian food. Very tasty food and friendly staff. The halal meat section is also great.
Spices Hut has a good selection of Indian grocery and produce. It is conveniently located and has adequate parking. Prices are competitive and hours are long on weekends and weekdays.
Bland food even after mentioning the spice levels. Instead of accepting the fact the lady keeps on arguing that this is the first time she got that complaint. Looks like she either dont check the Google reviews or she is telling blatant lies. I recommend her to check the reviews... There is one posting under saurabh Agarwal who mentioned the same. I wasted my $20 and my guests are not happy. This is the second time I was disappointed.Earlier I ordered few items and that person called me and said they dont have one of the items and will give a different item. I agreed and I didnt notice that there is a price difference. The substitute item is less price. Again this lady gave a onion samosa and another item to compensate the difference. I told her I didnt order since I never knew there is a price difference. Instead of explaining that she is just making up the difference she said Im just giving as if it is free. I only realized after I came out of the store that those samosas are not free. Basically I dont trust these guys.
A lot of his inventory is expired or almost at the verge of going bad. Husband and wife who are also the owners are not very helpful to help find items in the store knowing the store is a mess. On the food side they are insanely cheap with the quantity of food they serve and want to squeeze every single dime out from the customer by charging them for extra.Go somewhere else, save your money and potential food poisoning by eating expired items.
Goood collection of indian groceries
Dont buy Swad Rasagulla and Rasamalai at any cost even though they throw buy 1 get 4
If I could I will give Zero stars - Multiple issues with the store. We bought Jeera Samba rice jut a week back and opened it today to see that it’s completely gone bad (see pictures). Unfortunately I didn’t have the receipt. We recently moved to the area and didn’t expect this. They post some price near and the product and charge something else, when I asked they said that is the price and we can’t change it. All organic products overcharged at least 3-4s” dollars. Worst customer service bad products and cheating. Avoid even if you have to go a couple of extra miles to another store.
The food joint in the back serves some excellent desi snacks and chai.
The cafe was good but the egg puff needs improvement and maybe some more stuffing
Small and tidy place, provides Indian grocery with fresh vegetables. Also has small restaurant, like the samosas 😋
Price mismatch!Posted price on label in counter is different and in bill its different. Deep shredded coconut was 2.79 on label in the counter and 5.99 on bill 🤔. Double check price before you move out.
I went to check out this store as I was nearby. I found out that its a bit on higher side for the cost of regular items, that other Indian stores provide within 10 miles of it. Its a pretty small store for emergency pickups. The mini snack area was also deficit of the goodies that they intend to sell, so I reduced the stars.
Very rude staff. Restaurant food tastes stale. The only thing is that theyre conveniently located.
This is not a restaurant. This is scam. When you will order online they will charge you. After few minutes you will get a call and they will say we are out of the item you ordered. Please cancel online. There is no option to cancel online. When you see their refund policy online, they mentioned that come to the store or call to cancel but they won’t do over phone. Very rude people. Very bad experience.
One of the best indian grocery store in the area. You will find almost everything here. The fast food corner in the shop has best Samosa in town. A must try if you are a samosa lover. They have variety of other indian snacks and sweets too.A must try fast food restaurant if you want true indian taste.
They are really good and worth for money and prices were less compare to other stores.
The items are little more on the expensive side but good for urgent need. There is a food court inside but very less seating. Chats is good at this place. Samosa masala, jalebi, onion pakora are great.
We bought a packed snack item and it had horrible oil smell. I am sure they will not take it back or neither accept the mistakeAvoid getting packed snacks from this store
We love the place and our kudos to Deepak for his service.
What happened?Chicken Tikka Masala very salty.Garlic & Butter Naan tough like leather.Food here used to be good. I just waste $20
Great variety of Indian food!Fresh halal chicken available
All indian grocery and veggies available at reasonable price.
Very good Indian store, little expensive
I have purchased two egg puff & two samosa, it was really worst both items . i called them & explained, they didnt give any proper response.I would suggest dont buy anything in Spice hut, they are selling everything in high price and not bothering about customers .
The restaurant food was stale and microwave heated. The closing time is at 11 pm according to google maps when asked about it they were super rude, didnt let us checkout, totally ignored the suggestion and didnt even acknowledge to updates. Horrible customer service.
An OK Indian store with Indian/Asian grocery and a small restaurant. The food in restaurant is ok quality. We can get fresh meat products also here. But it is not a very friendly store comparing other stores.
Great collection and dosa idly batter is amazing quality.
Worst experience.we have order chili chicken, natukodi chicken biryani, chettinad chicken curry.Literally in every item, they have added chili flakes and karam powder in the end I think. It is so spicy that we can’t even eat it.I don’t recommend it.
One of the best place for purchasing Indian goods.
You get what you need if you are from South Asian or Indian. Meat is good probably they need to add more south Indian masala brands. Jack fruits is special mention.
Godavari rice they are selling is very poor in quality.
This is Dr. Saibaba Arcot. I visited Spcies Hut for the first time yesterday.Store is very well laid, with ease of access. The meat wing of the store is well mainted & hygienic. The restaurant side was amazingly impressive.
Well today their pos was not working so they took my credit card info I was in hurry to cook for my guests that’s why I couldn’t run for another store and didn’t have any cash on me, hopefully my credit card info is safe !
Great Indian grocery store in the 30022 area. They even have a hala meat shop inside (literally a shop inside the main shop). Greens and produce quality was really good! Will certainly make this our go-to Indian grocery store.
Great grocery store. Meat looks fresh and good. The snacks doesn’t taste fresh.
I bought pav from this store. Within 12 hrs, it had fungus. When I went back to the store to show them, the staff at the store was very rude and told me to buy something else. He did not apologize instead he said I can’t do anything.
Spice hut sells fresh vegetables. Its easy to do some quick shopping here.
Good taste but on the spicy side
We have been regularly ordering fake aways from here but over last few months the food quality has been going down. It feels like the kitchen owners are not able to keep up with the order inflow. We saw multiple people arguing about delays and long wait times. The food that we ordered, despite mentioning the spice levels, was almost bland. I really wish the place tightens its grip over process and quality control or will have to suffer.Posting this review to see if others had a similar experience or was it just one of the bad days.
We ordered mirchi bajji, samosa, pastries.Mirchi bajji by looks is good but taste is worst. They were not fresh. Atleast 3 days old.Looking at the traffic they have, I never expected food to be not fresh.Samosas are just OK.Pastries were not fresh at all. After calling them they promised to refund money. Will never try food here again.
This is a store where one will get all the required groceries. Bhartiya brands like Patanjali, Meswak etc are available. Priya brand pickle which i took tasted spicy and delicious. Bhel, Farsana, fresh fruits, vegetables & including SG cricket bats, Carroms are available. Must visit for all Bhartiyas residing in Alpharetta and nearby areas.
Good small place for quick shopping. Some item prices are at little higher end.Need to improve: most of the items are not marked with prices and even sometime marked wrong prices.
Beware of meat weighing machine! Although they sell fresh meat products, their meat weighing machine displays weight that is about 15-17% higher than actual weight. The machine is not calibrated well. BBB has been notified.
Very delicious food.
Good food, reasonable prices.. Jelebi not as fresh as expected
I go here for fresh vegetables /meat and also other packed food & snacks. Its a kind of quick stop&pick shop.
Good place, nice people. Can improve a bit on customer service and front desk cleanliness.
Tasty starters and you can find all kinds of Indian food
All indian groceries and fresh halal meat
The worst management. There is no one to take the order. The person at the desk saw us standing there to order but he didn’t came to take the order. He literally took 15 min to take the order and no kidding more than 45 min to give the order. And not well maintained. The tables are left unclean without taking away the used plates and stuff. There are 4 tables in total. Same situation with the 4 tables.
Worst customer experience.
The food is really great, the ambience is not good but very good for pickup.
Offer halal chicken goat. Good market. This is our go-to for rice, spices and veggies. Good prices, kind owners and staff. No frills, s bit like a warehouse. Aldo have limited hit food kitchen and some houseware items. Check out store from front to back. There are dairy items cheese in back of store too
Nice place to get Indian grocery and u can also get fast food here and if u like u can get some cakes as well.
It was better before now seems quality and price does not worth.
Grocery, meat, fish are available at the same place.really good.
Some items are more expensive than other stores but cant beat the convenience of the location.
Good selection of groceries and fresh vegetables. Prices were slightly higher than other stores. But the stuff was arranged neatly. The annex has a small restaurant selling freshly made snacks. That was good too. Staff were friendly. Overall a good experience.
I went at 08.55 and they said its closed. I needed just one stuff explained them but they said its closed. Not happy with the response as the closing time is 9PM
Prices are always mislabeled. found cockroach in the onion bag as I was checking out.
This review is especially for the business owner. I wish I could give no star or negative stars for owners rude behavior towards customers. Try to change your attitude and control your temper(for no bloody reason) towards customers and try to show it on the taste of your cafe food and sell good food instead!!!!!
A staple typical indian grocery store that is found in every city in the US. Spice hut does have almost all the require that you would have, and fresh produce as well, but their prices are on the higher side. You can compare the prices with other grocery stores and feel the pinch in the pocket. Otherwise, it is pretty good place and has a section for indian type pastries and fried snacks too.
Good and quality Indian groceries. And great deals during Indian festival seasons. With delicious items at food court also.
Bad customer service, never coming back
Store is too packed. Check out is painfully slow. Not worth another visit.
Best place for snacks and fresh squeezed Orange juice.
Its a grocery store with a mini restaurant inside. They have good selection of snacks. I love their chicken noodles and Biryani.
Nice place to hang out some time with friends and family.. evening snacks are really good not disappointed. Almost all snacks tastes good and delicious though!Onion samosa and bajji is my favorite one’s.. if you like southern India chat items then don’t miss out this place! Have fun!!
Not bad
Great little neighborhood Indian grocery store.I love this place. The parking lot is spacious, so you can park without fear that you’ll come back to a ding in your car door.Has fresh fruits and vegetables (bitter melon, snake gourd, ginger, chilies, green banana, jackfruit, guavas), frozen stuff (amla, sapota), dried beans and lentils, spices, and extras (mango pickles). There’s an attached restaurant where you can get fresh sugar cane juice.Highly recommended.
Most of the essentials are available and neatly arranged. Price tags are missing for many items and prices are little higher compared to Suvidha & Patel Bros.
Irresponsible customer service. They sell spoiled coconuts and dont exchange it. No where in the store its mentioned. Better reveal your policies in BOLD LETTERS next to the grocery area.
Has Indian groceries, Halal meat and serves food. Store is not laid out properly and gives a feel of a dungeon. They could organise the aisles to make it looks slightly upscale.
Really bad experience! we have been buying weekly groceries for 2 years form Spice Hut. We went to return two packets of noodles which had worms in them, and we had opened one of them / cut the packet and dropped the noodles in boiling water & then realized that the worms came up in the water - the Spice Hut owner refused to refund 99 cents for the packet which was opened !!!! The owner was willing to lose a customer who was regular customer spending over $ 3000 per year with them. Too bad behavior. Deserves zero star...
One of the best place to get goat meat I have tried two other shops whose selling goat but my wife didn’t like it. The meat is almost fresh and tasty too, I love it. The vegetables and other items are looks pricey and sometimes I feel the veggies are not fresh. I gave three stars just for meat.
They make mistakes a lot on register. Though they fix it later..And the cashiers dont greet at all.
Groceries are very expensive.
Great place! It has practically anything you want to create Indian food. They also have tofu. And there is a mini booth where they sell samosas and cool edible stuff! 10/10 recommend
I used to go this store from past many years. But Last year they had the bad staff.. the lady cashier and old guy was always with angry face and never been helpful and they behave rudely with the customers. So I stopped going to that store. After an Year I started visiting the store again from last one month, now the new lady cashier is very good, almost I visited 3 times in this month she always keep on smile and very helpful. And the grocery is also increased now than before, food court and meat. Everything at one place now. They have lots of stock now. I highly recommend this store now. I request the owner to keep such staff always. If staff is good, then only the customer growth increases.
Good Food and yummy snacks. The snacks are bit pricey. Always find expired products over here. please pick the products seeing the expiry date.
Good place to get Meat... it’s very fresh and the butcher is very friendly and the store is also organized good..
Good food. we liked the chicken fried rice and chili chicken. Their pastries were not that good. Dont expect good service from the people on the counter.
We used to regularly to meat section because this is near to home this is the only reason we have to go here. Some of the employees in the meat section are helpful but I think owner(guessing), he is very rude. In grocery section prices are high compared to other places. Food court sometimes snacks are not fresh that we Will realize only after bringing home. I don’t refer any friend here until if it is urgent
Spices hut now much much better and good for Indian groceries. The vegetables are so fresh and everything else also much better now. I gave a one star rating 3 years back for this shop. Now came here to update it to 4 start.
READ BEFORE BUYING ANY PACKAGED PRODUCTS FROM HERE:Went to the store one afternoon to get poha (puffed rice) and pistachios. We took them home and put them away in their respective spots. Next morning, moths and larvae everywhere! Disgusting! Even worse, when we went to get our refund for them (manager wasn’t there so we took it to the food counter) the man there blamed it on other people! He said “Oh *mumble mumble* you know the Mexican guy he throw the bag on shelf and *mumble*. Please do not give these people your business!
Good but not that great
Good location and reasonable items in stock
Worst customer xperience ever, Sold me an expired product and doesn’t even have the courtesy of a doing a refund. This is very un ethical
Highly recommended for South Indian specialties. You will be delighted.
Good place for Indian groceries to grab quickly.. But if you plan for a big list.. Better to visit larger stores... However this always serves purposes with quick bytes amd quick groceries to pick up
