Recently I inherited a few Asian pieces and after searching the Internet came across Chamberlain Antiques and Joshua. Joshua was extremely helpful in taking the time to view photos of these pieces and offer his opinion. As I live in a country where anyone with this knowledge is limited his comments on the pieces were well taken. I cant stress enough how much I appreciated the professionalism and expeditious way my query was handled.

Last weekend our church hosted an Antiques, Collectibles and Appraisal Day with Josh Chamberlain and his associate running the appraisal part. It was such a success and so much fun for both the participants and bystanders watching. The feedback I heard was he was so knowledgeable, both off-the-cuff and after some consultation and brief research. He exhibited some very lovely and valuable pieces as examples of fine antiques, but he was still so respectful of the things people brought in and so kind when he had to inform them that they were not quite the value they had hoped for. And then, some very interesting objects turned up throughout the day. It was the highlight of our event. I highly recommend his services and hope to continue to be able to consult and work with him.

Joshua came to my house in NH to look over a small collection of Asian artifacts from my parents estate. Today 1/30/19 Joshua came to our home in Connecticut and appraised our items. He was honest and pleasant, and very knowledgeable about the items we had and about antiques in general.He gave us a thorough explanation about the value of the items at this time in our history and priced everything fairly. He gave us the check for the items immediately and packed them up to take to his shop in New Hampshire. I had the pleasure of visiting Chamberlain Antiques shop recently while in search of vintage plates that I use for my business. The staff was welcoming, friendly, and most-importantly knowledgeable about the items I was looking for. I was so impressed with their knowledge of the history behind each item and also about the scope of items that they had expertise on. Walking through the shop and having them tell me about many of the items was like being on Antiques Roadshow. They even went above and beyond and let me look through some inventory they had packed away in the back. They offer free appraisals anytime, and are some of the most honest and trustworthy people in the business--and believe me, I go to a LOT of antique shops, many are not as honest or knowledgeable. If you dont have time to visit Josh and his staff at the shop, you can always get your items appraised on Tuesday mornings at 8:20 a.m. on 90.7 FM (NH radio station). He has a great show that you can listen to online and call in for appraisals. Great shop, great people, looking forward to visiting again!

I couldnt be more thrilled with the experience of selling some of my Chinese collectibles to Josh at Chamberlain Antiques. Josh came to my home and told me about all the pieces collected by my grandparents in the beginning of the 19th century. Together, we selected pieces that he was interested in buying.
