I shop in here all the time. Presentation of the products always looks superb. The staff here are very knowledgeable and helpful.One cashier stands out from the rest, her name is MATILDA. I was on line with other customers,when she kindly said come on to my register...I paid it fwd and let the other 2 gentleman go ahead.I told her Thank You for opening your register to do that.She has a really nice personality and has a good heart.If you stop in let Everybody know they are doing a Great Job People in this need it.Matilda you are a very very good worker and thank you again.

Always has what I need when I can find it. Robot thing is a little weird though, but the kids like it.. Please stop moving things around the store. Not cool.

The store is designed ridiculously I know it was redesigned for efficiency this is the worst store I have ever been in I wont be back to the Amityville Stop & Shop I will go to the West Babylon Stop & Shop no assistants does not make any sense layed out very poorly

Very easy and not crowded. Most people did the right thing. Staff in meat dept was great. They saved me a lot of money by showing me an item that I am eating tonight. Great job at check out, plenty of help. I drive out of my way to shop here.

Just once, Id love to go here and actually get everything on my list, and thats been the case even before COVID. No wipes or sanitizing materials at the entrance..unlike most other stores, including other S&S stores. I usually travel longer to go to a different S&S, just use this one to grab a couple of things quick...I usually end up back in the car and head to W. Babylon store anyway.

This specific Stop & Shop has done a great job during this messy time. The store still feels stocked and always clean. Ive also noticed the employees have kept in good spirits. I havent overheard a single one complaining, its actually been the opposite. When the shelves were at bare bones, I was able to still find enough of what I needed, and the staff hid the gaps well. One of those days, I walked into produce and couldnt help but chuckle at the enormous displays of cabbage sprawled throughout the department. It was much better then seeing empty shelves, thank you. As the store returned more towards a normal volume, the meat department was lagging behind. I was chatting with a butcher putting packages of chicken out, creatively distributed as well. He made some funny comment how produce always seems to win, and I was so grateful at that moment; glad for the positivity, humor and creativity of all the employees. It helped take the fear out of the air and replaced it with a sense of community. And cabbage. Thank you to all the S&S people.

They had things off the shelves. I tried to buy ice cream, but the case was empty. It was a wasted trip.

Great place for lunch.

Almost a year into the pandemic and some people have somehow not gotten the memo. Theres a mandate (same as a law in case you didnt know) that you need to wear a mask when in public places like a supermarket. At least 2 people were in the store brazenly shopping without masks and one was wearing his mask on his chin. All were passing numerous other shoppers within 6 feet of distance. None were approached by store employees as far as I could tell. They were giving off a vibe of daring someone to say something. It made me feel very uncomfortable being in the store with them, and I wondered how many other people are shopping there throughout the day without masks. Unlike other places I go food shopping on Long Island, there is no one at the door to control how many people are in the store at one time, or to check that people have a mask before they enter. Ill be avoiding this place.

Was just OK. Need better stock on almost everything. I like to use self scan w/scanit app, Did Not Work today, so big inconvenience. Stop & Shop needs to do better at getting shelves stocked again.

I will give about 2 stars because you never know what a person is going through. But me and my fiancé stopped at Starbucks while food shopping today, and when I tell you this employee Alex was so rude, when she saw that we were standing there waiting she rolled her eyes and kept huffing and puffing, she was so mad. And when she was taking our order, she was just so angry, our drinks werent even good as if she just rushed it and didnt care. Im sorry if youre going through tough times but when customers are around just breathe and smile, dont look so miserable taking our order, pretend that youre at least happy, say youre welcome or thank you and say have a great day when customers are kind to you saying thank you have a great day and you just roll your eyes and turn around.

This is my local Stop&Shop I go here all the time, plenty of parking. Great lengths have been taken to enforce social distance. I like the selection and the people who work there are very good especially in the plant department. There is a pharmacy that keeps an eye on my various scripts and they are usually very helpfull.

Switched to amityville stop and shop from w.babylon. amityville is great! Clean,well stocked,easy! W.babs stinks lately

They have an amazing selection of health foods and vegan products!

They don’t have anyone to clean the carts like other places, not even wipes for self use and staff isn’t friendly or even speak to you. Looks like they don’t want to be there. Wide selection but Prices are expensive. Not happy!

Its a supermarket, what else is there to say. I will say that not all Stop & Shops are made the same. Some are more organized than others. We drive out of our way to shop here when there is one closer to us. Better stocked and maintained.

Great market with enough help and good variety fairly priced and great fresh alternatives.Plus rare imported brands ..Good sales too.

Seafood store on Merrick road really proves that no 2 stores are alike.Fast service most of the time and nicely stocked shelves.

The layout of the store was easy to follow. Most prices were reasonable. The staff was courteous and professional.

Not limiting the amount of people going in at a time like they claim to be doing, people going in without masks and the shelves have been very empty, I almost feel like they are not getting deliveries . Usually there. Are plenty of coupons to load CV onto app and there have been two maybe three feel like prices have been alot higher than usual. On the up side the staff is very pleasant and helpful

Ive been coming to this Amityville location for almost 20 years. The groceries and produce are good quality and quantity, sometimes on the higher priced side but ok. The florist is the best especially around the busy, dance recital, graduation and mothers day times. The bakery is just as great coming through with all occasions covered.But the deli counter needs a little bit of love and alit of attention. They had a great crew till about 5 years ago and its been aggravating ever since. Today was the last day with getting any deli products again from here. I would like to go into details to explain the level of frustration but its not worth the energy.

I was in stop n shop this evening I had stuff in my bag and tried to get passed a person stocking the shelf, I said excuse me he told me that I could waitI told him he was very rude and the conversation got worse from there . He told me he didnt give a f--- who I told Just wanted to let you guys know about you employees.

This Stop and Shop needs more cashiers. The check outs get extremely crowded which isnt good in this current environment.

I love this place. If you are vegan, you can find all sorts of vegan products here (aisle 3), they might be a little pricey but definitely worth it. The produce section is also awesome. Its very well organized and clean.

Left $50 in beer on the Counter because I did not have my ID. 55 years old and fully grey. Mo manager too help and I felt bad for the poor employees just following the silly rules. Common Sense Stop and Shop. Will not go back. Just have left the $200 in groceries their too Thanks for the great service

Very helpful staff. I go there pretty often to get food for my lizard m. Make sure I have fresh veggies and fruits for her and it always it fresh fruits. The lines arent too bad when I go also. Very clean.

I like this store, but I hate when I drive all the way to the store and they dont have what I went for. Today I went to get my dog a bone and of course they dont have the one he likes. The section is always in shambles and they dont replenish enoug . The one he likes has not been packed out in two weeks.two monthis later and the dog treat section is still empty

I have shopped here for 3 years. I go in tonight around 10. I made sure the store was still open first. I go straight to the deli counter to pick up a vegetable salad they have. It was still uncovered and as I was about to ask for it the older blond lady said, were closed. i can understand if you didnt want to cut meat but really, you didnt even know what I was asking for and you refused to help me. Customer Service is a concept very few people understand.

My favorite store to go to, i find organic fruits & veggies, gluten free, lots of healthy choices, tofu, kombucha, it is a little pricy at times but you find a lot more options than at other local supermarkets. Big parking Lot, nice staff, bathroom service, peoples bank inside, ATM, Starbucks, bakery and more.

Clean friendly shopping environment has everything I need.
