Absolutely terrible human. Promised me a boat I bought from him was running and that he would put the titles in my name. The boat would not run only start for brief intervals. Paid allot to actually get it running and on top of that he lied about the year of the boat he told me it was a 2007 when it was a 2003. Please do not trust him my lawyer is going to make him pay in court. Please please please do not trust him. He is a great talker but that should tell you all you need to know.

Took 2015 -140 hp Suzuki motor to ZNZ Boat for fuel leak repairs.he quoted me a price of $475.00 for repairs. On the way to pick up boat he texted invoice for $800.00. I called and he changed it to $600.00 cash. Just wanted my boat back and paid him. I picked up my boat and inspected and saw no repairs had been made. Asked employee and he stated we have secret ways to repair the vapor recovery bowl. I said BS!!! Got in boat making sure things we secure. Saw 4 large ice bags, off shore fishing tackle, bait well dirty, empty drinks, buzz Bombs,tea& water and life jackets. I asked what the heck!!! He stated you want me to get stuff out. I said no you tell Zachary Wayne Friudenberg if he wants it back come to Sweeny, Texas!!! Took boat out the next day and went 100 yards and it died!!! Took to a CERTIFIED repair center. They got it running again. They did assessment on repairs from ZNZ. Stated no repairs had been made. Texted Zachary Wayne Friudenberg and he started threats with court and such. I told him it would be in your best interest to refund my money. I filed police report and Angleton, Texas . Officer stated he had two other reports against him. I filed a civil lawsuit against him in West Columbia . Once I filed Zachary Wayne sent a invoice to me for $3,612.00 . I took Zachary Wayne to court and he was a NO SHOW!!!! Go figure!!!! He has a judgement against him for $1076.82 at 5% interest.After the trial he sent another invoice. I contacted District Attorney. They advised me to file a deceptive business charges against him. Then he would be arrested. I told them if he sent another invoice I would. On bogus invoice he sent. It was full of lies and repairs that were never made!!!!This is a scam business would not use!!!! Hes not certified, no sign in front yard and hides boats in the back of property. Also note I took boat to a certified repair shop for fuel leak cost was $381.58!!!!! Cant believe district attorney is letting this go on in their back yard!!!!!

Very highly priced! Horrible service. He talks a good talk and tells you everything you want to hear. After he had my boat for 2 weeks, I took it out and got stranded. I refuse to take my boat back again. I strongly recommend to stay away from this place.

After knowing how this man treated my dad, and how poor of a job he did, I would strongly recommend everyone to please find another boat repair place. Unless of course you want to waste thousands of dollars and have nothing to show for it... Zach is a crook and should not have the right to screw people over! ZnZ is extremely overpriced, very unprofessional, and a pathetic excuse for a mechanic!

All of the positive reviews HAVE to be people he knows or paid to review for him. Zach is by far the worse I’ve had the displeasure of doing “business” with. Zach had my boat the first time for two weeks. Said he fixed it and to come get it. Needed new fuel lines. Charged me almost $500. Went to take it out two days after picking it up. Wouldn’t start. Called him and told him. He argued with me that I must have done something to it because it ran when he got done with it. So I brought it back to him. Almost three months later I finally got it back. Zach said it had a vacuum in the fuel line. Also said my starter battery wouldn’t hold a charge. I asked if he replaced the bad battery and he said he didn’t have any and wasn’t willing to do the work. What boat mechanic won’t swap a battery? So I get the boat back again and swap battery, guess what. It still won’t start. My motor is a 175hp Suzuki with 140hrs. So, it’s not like it’s a 1988 evinrude. During the three months he had my boat Zach would often argue with me, beat around the bush and blamed the slow work on his other shop and a multitude of other things. He went so far as complaining about how grumpy another one of his customers was and that the gentlemen was a “jerk.” Don’t let the 5* reviews fool you. ZnZ boat mechanic is the worst mechanic out there and you will greatly regret bringing your boat to him.

Took my boat to Z&Z got a 1991 Yamaha. They did engine service on it. Then it sat for 3 months before I got to run it. Have to say that this motor never had as much power, don’t know or what they did but this motor has never run as strong since I’ve owned it. Amazing.

We hit something in the water and tore the transom out of our pontoon boat and the motor fell off into the bayou. We took it to ZnZ and they rebuilt the transom and cleaned the salt water and everything else out of the motor. Cleaned the carburetor up and got it all put back together very quickly. The transom looks good and the motor runs great!! Extremely pleased with the work done at a Very reasonable price. Great folks to work with. Listened to every concern and addressed each one of them. Will definitely be using them from now on. They are working on our jet ski now!!

The best boat repair service in Angleton. We entered a boat race, but our boat was heavily damaged while we were practicing. Thanks to ZnZ Boat Repair we were able to participate on time in the boat race and it was amazing, thank you. I highly recommend their repair services!

I have bought a couple of boats from ZnZ and had them repair several issues. He is good about explaining what is going on and doesnt try to replace a bunch of stuff that doesnt need to be replaced.

Was new to the area and couldn’t get our family boat to start. Called ZnZ Boat Repair and Zach said the the problem could be. I took the boat over to his shop, he was very professional, honest about what the problem was, and for all that he did, it was inexpensive. A lot cheaper than from any other machanic shop! Extremely pleased with his work and will definitely be calling him in the future!!!

I have worked with this company and Zack is by far the most honest mechanic I have met so far in this business. Even with customers that are very demanding and rude he still bends over backwards to help them. I never quite seen how boat repair shop run like this where the owner is put first regardless of company overhead.

Znz boat repair did a great job on removing my motor mounts on my old outboard, it was a very hard task as I had tried to do it myself for over a month, but znz got the job done and at a very responsible price. Highly recommend for any marine work. Will be doing business with them again

STOP, Do not make the grave mistake of letting Zack Friudenberg put his hands on your Outboard Motor or Marine Equipment. I have had a very horrible experience with Zack, ultimately he is nothing more than Shade Tree Mechanic, completely incompetent, untrained, with no skills other than what he views on YouTube, resulting in creating more problems and breakage. Zach will charge you as if he was a Certified Mechanic, does not honor warranties, and will not resolve issues.

ZnZ, Fantastic job, while on rotation from overseas, ZnZ tuned up my sled and repaired what needed to be fixed and I used it everyday for a month without issue. Reasonable rates and quality work, ZnZ will get all my marine work, Thanks Zach.

This is one of the best if no the best boat repair companies in Angleton. I was told that my boat was damaged beyond repairs, but ZnZ Boat Repair took the job and within a week they fixed it. I highly recommend them.

They fixed my suzuki 75 hp and finished $2100 worth of work that I was quoted by Bartlett Marine and finished it in 3 days for $450 and I was back on the water with gun dog clients. Very Pleased with the quality and price. Zack and Bobby are awesome

The first time I used ZNZ was to get the carb cleaned on my 06 Chaparral. They did the job within a week and I was satisfied with the service and cost. The next time I brought my boat back for a power steering leak and the service was a disaster. When I dropped it off there was no estimate of time for the repair but I figured a couple weeks since the first repair only took a few days. After a couple weeks, I reached out trying to get an update and communication was extremely poor. They would tell me exactly what the current status was or what kind of issues they were running into, just that it wouldn’t be ready for another few days. This happened 3-4 times. Towards the end they even promised it would be done on a certain date but that was a lie and I didn’t get to pick it up for a week after that date. Finally the day came when I was going to pick it up and I got my invoice. I saw on the invoice that I was being charged for a $200 detail (that I didn’t ask for). After discussing with the owner I gave them permission to continue thinking it would save me time from cleaning the boat myself before putting into storage. Well, I got the boat home and there was mold everywhere on the vinyl and dirt and grim around every corner. Clearly all they did was spray the boat down with a hose and called it “detailing”. I sent photos to ZNZ and they refused to refund. Wanted to come to my house to clean the boat, which I would not allow.

Worst boat mechanic i have ever encountered always gives you the run around and cant never give a straight answer took my boat to him becouse i had a electrical problem that dude changed a tham water pump and other parts that had nothing to do with the problem and called me that its ready for pick up and charged me $900 ok i paid him took the boat and it had the same problem when i took it in the water. Zack ended up texting me that he couldnt figure out and that the boat needed somebody with more experience becouse he couldnt do it that was after having it for 1 month 2weeks and $900Dollars. JUST WRITING THIS TO GIVE YOU GUYS A WARNING DONY DO BUSINESS WITH THIS GUY.. DONT LET THEM REVIEWS FOOL U LIKE THEY DID ME

Repaired my 16 foot flat bottom and and all the leaks. Welded up a new transom and carpeted my trailer and services my outboard including rebuilt carbs. All for $800 cheaper than I could find anywhere else. They even took me and ran it. Still runs great. Thx Zack and Bobby

Horrible business man. Paint chipped on the boat after less than 6 hours in the water. When asked to fix the problem he resorted to childish attacks on my son and called him a punk. Do not do business with this man. If you do get everything in writing because he will threaten you with court if you tell him his work is bad.
