Matt U came out and serviced the house and didn’t try to up sell us on anything. Told us what it would need to get back to working properly. He addressed and corrected the issue in a timely, professional manner!Good guys! They know what they’re doing.
I am giving 3 stars only due to the lack of communication that was relayed to me. The business promised to have our HVAC appointment between 8am-12pm. Nobody came between those hours and I tried to call their phone number provided by the information I saw online and nobody answered. Twice the phone system automatically ended my call, and no one was available for the Stafford office as I was sent straight to voicemail.I went about my day and was given the call as I was doing my errands that service will come at 3pm. I had to drop all I that I was doing to come back home since nobody was at the house.Besides the appointment mishap, lack of communication, and the frustration of the phone line service, the in-person service by Matt Uvalle was professional and efficient. He was polite and provided needed information. He was able to replace our ventilation filter that was available on hand and did a great job! Thank you Matt, your service was 10/10 excellent.Overall, we appreciate the business at the end of the day, hopefully in the future there will not be any miscommunication, and also a better maintenance service of the phone line.
HORRIBLE BUSINESS.I have a brand new home and Davis AC serviced the parts. House is about a year old. One of the parts in the furnace leaked. This caused a gas leak. They came to assess and ordered parts. They called me saying that the parts had arrived and gave me a 12p-6p time window for the following day. I called them back to confirm. I was told I would get a call 30 min before the arrival of the technician, and if I missed the call, I would lose my appointment and would have to re schedule. I moved my work schedule around to accommodate for this ridiculous 6 hour window. I had been at my house all day waiting. At 5 pm my builders warranty manager texts me saying DAVIS isnt able to come to the appointment because they ordered the wrong parts. Its infuriating how I have to hear that from someone else besides the company. They said they called me once this morning, and could not reach me. I have 0 missed calls and 0 voice-mails.HORRIBLE BUSINESS. Give 6 hour time windows for appointments. If you miss their 30 min pre appointment call, you lose your appointment and will have to re schedule. Who holds them accountable?

I called because they advertise 24 hour emergency services. I called their number and for emergency service, they tell you to call a different number. I called the different number and a live person answered to tell me they stop running calls after 10 pm. That’s not 24 hour emergency services, that’s until 10 services. Don’t worry about the fact that I have three small children and it’s been some of the hottest days Texas has seen in a while. She offered to take a message though, whatever good that is suppose to do.

We had a slight hiccup in communication and scheduling at the onset of repairing our A/C unit, but the manager Carla called us back and handled the situation very well by correcting the issue and sending out an available technician right away. The unit was fixed immediately after the parts came in. Carla called a few days later to followup and to make sure everything was working well. We highly recommend Davis A/C.
I called Davis AC on Wed when my AC went out and they couldn’t send someone out until Friday before July 4th. I said ok and waited…..finally tech showed up around 5…..said need new fan motor. I said ok….he took awhile to go get one and then told me unit needed a set screw and couldn’t get part until Tues. and charges would be more. I said ok because I felt I had no choice. I heard nothing from the tech after that so I called another company to come out.
I had called several companies to have my system checked and no one called me back. I called Davis and they immediately returned my call. They were quick to give me an estimate and I held my breath that my system would keep working until they arrived to replace my air conditioner. They arrived on time, worked as quietly as they could and left everything better than when they got there. They even raked and put the stepping stones back along the side of the house where the condenser was. I was amazed and pleasantly surprised at their work ethic. They went above and beyond.
Carlos and his crew installed my new AC system. They did a professional job, and I was very impressed with their work. Carlos did an excellent job answering any questions I had. It was clear he knew what he was doing and cared about the quality of his work. Highly recommend.

Walter was able to inspect our HVAC systems for the winter check up and explain what it was about. He was very professional and considerate of our home by covering his shoes during the inspection. I will continue to use Davis AC and Heating in the event of need. I also have a contract for Winter and Summer checkups. Make my life easier knowing that Davis is performing checkups to keep our units in good working order.

Ive used Davis AC& Heating for years and never been disappointed. Recently my heater broke. They came out right away. It was an unusual part that needed to be replaced, so it was ordered and they came back and fixed a couple of days later. The repair guys were professional and friendly. I particularly like that they work with me to make it convenient for my schedule (they call before they schedule the visit with an ETA). Really good company! I thought the repair would be costly but it was all under warranty (my system is several years old but I have their repair protection plan).
This is perhaps the most unreliable AC organization anywhere. Over the past three months Ive had to schedule them out three times for a system still under warranty that was not providing sufficient cooling. The first trip scheduled the technician never called and never showed up. had to reschedule. the next scheduled appointment time, the technician was 2 hours late, never called and when he arrived didnt have any coolant or tools to work the job. had to re-schedule. The next guy scheduled was late but did bring coolant to recharge the system. Told me I had a coil that needed to be changed but was not bright enough to write down the model on the coil so it could be ordered. had to send another guys just to get the model number. we both work during the day so I gave the receptionist dispatcher my cell phone for convenience. She never entered it in the system and when they tried to call (so they say) they called the home phone purportedly but never left a message. I have digital phone service at home and there was no record of any calls. Today, waited for 4 hours for an appointment that they didnt even have on the books....guy told me Wednesday and then scheduled it for Thursday. Im looking at buying an upgraded (higher BTU) system but damn well wont buy it from these clowns.
Asked for a technician to freshen up the the R22 chg because cooling was a little weak. Have to do this every 12-18 months.I was informed of a $99 serv chg...okay. Upon pressure and temp check results, it did need gas. I asked how much that would cost me. I almost passed out when he told me the R22 would cost me over $380.00 per pound! I know prices are high, because its obsolete, but I never expected anything like I was told. Needless to say, that ended our relationship...I paid the service chg and said I didnt want their gas.I had someone else show up, put 2.5 lbs in and chgd me $124 per lb. Total cost was $327.Under these circumstances, I cannot recommend Davis for ANYTHING. I dont understand the price gouging on the R22. It pays to shop around and Davis will never be on my list again.Today, 3/26/2020A Davis rep reached out to me and explained that their R22 chg is not by the pound.The technician that came by was mistaken in his pricing info. He was supposed to show me a scale reflecting the gas pricing. I explained there was no other info offered other than what I was quoted verbally. He apologized for the miscommunication and will re-educate the technician in these matters. I appreciate him touching base with me, and I will make note of this in future.
I have been a customer of Davis Air Conditioning & Heating, Inc since 2004. They are excellent. I used them twice a year to check the unit and change filters. Everyone who serviced my unit did an excellent, thorough job. Just this past year, I decided to put in a new unit. It was very smooth process. The staff is amazing, honest and very helpful. I highly recommend this company for your heating and a/c needs.

Our furnace went out right on the day of the big freeze this year. I called Davis AC and Amber helped get me set up with a service call time and date. She was helpful in getting me in touch with financing after we received our quote. Once we secured financing, we opted to replace both the furnace and AC as we knew we couldn’t avoid it any longer. However, the install time was fast. The workers worked quickly and got everything set up in one day. We have now been able to enjoy the warmth of our new furnace and have also tried out our AC, because Texas likes to have all the seasons at once. I can say we are highly satisfied with the service we received. Everyone we came into contact with in the company was friendly and seemed to genuinely want to help us. We would definitely recommend Davis AC to our friends and family in the future.

Davis installed our first Carrier system 18 years ago and was our first choice when we decided to upgrade to a newer unit. Great service competitive pricing and you cant beat Carriers reliability and efficiency. Our old unit still worked great after 18 years but I do love the 2 stage condensing unit on the new system so quiet you just forget about it. I would highly recommend Davis and Carrier to anybody considering a new system.

Awesome customer service!!! I called the 24/7 Emergency Line and was immediately in contact with a real person not an automated robot. After taking a little information from me I was set up with an appointment. I then received a call from the local office, and Amber was more then accommodating to my schedule request and she was so friendly and courteous, she called to let me know when the tech was on his way. The technician that came out was on time and very knowledgeable. They were quick to have the part needed to get me all fixed up. Easy, great, and stress free experience and I would definitely recommend them 100%. Thank you:)

Davis AC has been taking care of my personal home including a major repair I had a couple of years ago. I have worked with other companies over the years and Davis is by far my favorite. Their technicians are courteous and are always glad to explain exactly what work they did for me. I have called them back on a repair they had just done and was pleased to see that they responded just as quickly and took care of the issue. I have referred several people to Davis AC this summer.

Thank you so much for the emergency service on Saturday at our Rec Center for our air conditioning system. We were to have our Homeowners Association meeting starting in the morning and we realized the air conditioner was not working. I called the office number and pressed the button for Emergency After-Hours service. The Technician arrived very quickly and was able to find the root cause of the problem in about 15 minutes. The broken part was replaced and we had nice cool air going for the meeting. Thank you sooooo much! We also have the bi-annual service on our air conditioning & heating systems and highly recommend Davis Air Conditioning & Heating service.

Davis A/C & Heating installed my Carrier A/C unit four years ago (ie. It’s still under warranty). I scheduled an appointment to repair it due to a failure. After waiting for the repairman to show up for 4 hours, I called to verify the status of my appointment. The assistant in the office confirmed I was still on the list and would be the next. I then received a call back that ‘they no longer serviced my area’... I asked to speak to a service manager to provide my feedback. They promised I would receive a call that week. It’s been entirely a month with no follow-up. There was a total disregard for ownership of their mistake and scheduling of another A/C company to repair the unit. This resulted for over a week delay in the Texas summer heat.

We had an issue with the AC at a rental property that we own and, after reading the reviews, decided to called Davis Air Conditioning and Heating. Even though we weren’t current customers they went out immediately and took care of the problem and did not leave until it was working properly. They responded immediately and Amber stayed in contact with us. We will be using them on our rental properties as well as our home from now on.
We purchased a new home and Davis installed our HVAC unit. We had some issues with our unit following a storm and I spoke with Shelby several times to get them resolved. She was always polite, professional, and courteous and had a technician out as soon as she could. Our issues were resolved promptly and everyone has been great to work with!
After buying a house in May 2017, our ac went out. We called Davis AC hoping that our unit was still under warranty. To our surprise, it was!! We paid a $35 warranty transfer fee, and our ac was fixed within just a few hours with no charge!! Customer service was great! Due to the rain my appointment wasn’t until the next day but since it stopped raining for a short period they came early to fix it! Thanks Davis AC for helping my family stay cool in this hot summer!!
Discovered Saturday morning ac fan was not shutting at beach house. Drive home to Houston discovered no ac in home. Call Davis @ 10:45 and service to house restored befor 1:00 amazing. Yardmen had weeded a wire leading from house to unit. Monday Davis checked at beach house. Back with new thermostat a capacitor Tuesday and corrected before noonCant ask for more professional courteous and fair service minded people. Quick response time, kept well informed and the costs minimal for the service i needed. Would highly recommend. I was so happy they woukd service my home in Galveston as well as Houston!

These people are rip-offs! Oddly, if there is any labor involved in getting a diagnosis on your systems, you will be charged for labor, even if nothing was fixed. How crazy is that? Correct me if Im wrong, but there will be labor in performing a diagnosis. So, in my view, their $89 diagnostics charge is actually a trip charge. The guy explained that we were charge labor because they had to open my furnace to see what the problem was. I said Exactly...that is what a diagnostic is...to see what the problem is!. So, in getting the diagnostics and what the charges would be to fix it, they only give you a lump sum with no break down of the charges for parts and labor. In the end, we paid $191 for a diagnostics and now know what parts are needed. The parts, by the way, I found online for $200 so sounds like a DIY job!
Davis AC & Heating have been servicing our homes HVAC units since our home was built 9 years ago. They were the original installer of the units and we have had an annual service contract with them for routine maintenance ever since. Their service technicians are extremely thorough, honest, professional and prompt. Overall the systems have worked great over the years. The one time we did have an issue due to a manufacturer defect, Davis AC honored our warrantee and fixed the problem quickly. The Customer Service is excellent as well! I had to call them this week for a home inspection, and Danny responded quickly and made the process simple.Out of all the contractors and service providers weve used in the Houston area over the years for various home improvements and repairs, Davis AC is the one I can most highly recommend.

I advise to stay away from these people. Supposed to be certified Carrier techs yet the guy they sent out knew nothing about my system. Charged a huge diagnostic fee to not fix anything then on top of that a fee titled checked wiring checking stuff is part of a diagnostic. Well it did not get fixed and asked them to send out a different tech. They sent out the same tech and he tried to remove my Thermostat ripping it out of the wall and breaking the wires. So after he tells me I may need new wiring and a Thermostat which was working fine until he yanked it out breaking the wires and shorting out the thermostat. The next time they sent a new tech that knew more about the system but was too late the last tech cost me all I had for repairs and they still wanted more money! My AC is still not working almost a year later because I have to save the money to replace what they messed up and charged me over $450 for nothing.

The heating and cooling system in my home was old and badly needed to be replaced. In January failure of an integral part of the furnace left us totally without heat. I called several local HVAC companies and was told the part that had failed was no longer available on the market. When I called Davis, they were successful in finding the replacement part for the failed part. Davis had my heater working in a few hours. I made up my mind that when I did replace the unit, Davis Air Conditioning would get the job. In July 3, I replaced the unit inside and outside. My wife was not a happy camper because we were to host a July4th party. The very thought of the mess that was almost sure to be generated made her ill. She was absolutely shocked that there was zero mess left inside and outside of our home. We installed a Carrier System. I had no idea how quiet the system was going to be, inside and out. One huge plus is that dust is no longer a problem in our home! I will be a Davis customer as along as I have central air!
We specifically asked for Humberto (Beto) to come and analyze our A/C issues as he did an outstanding job for our neighbors. Beto and Jake came out and discussed our uneven airflow and dust problems, plus the condensation drainage into our guest bathroom that was causing odors. Finally, we asked about moving the condenser unit farther away from our master bedroom wall. They fixed the airflow problem right away by balancing the ductwork baffles. Then on the return trip the condenser was moved, the coil and blowers were removed and thoroughly cleaned, and a p-trap was installed on the condensation line, so NO more odors! Beto and Jake hit it out of the park for us! I highly recommend their services to anyone needing honest, and thoughtful work from Davis A/C.

A/C went out on Sunday evening, called Monday morning which was Memorial Day. Live person answered the phone and had service guy there in couple hours. A/C was fixed and up and running in under an hour. Great job Matt!

I have always had bad experiences with A/C repair people until a friend recommended Davis A/C and now I will NEVER use anyone else again! Friendly office staff and the tech was awesome. Berto had to come twice in a couple months, one for the A/C and then for the heater. He is very knowledgeable and answered any question I had. Thank you Berto for changing my mind about repairmen.
Worst service possible. Im currently still waiting for them to come and replace the ducts that are ripped and leaking water that they decided to initially fix with DUCT TAPE! The duct replacing service has been rescheduled a couple times plus a couple no shows and two different stories about their workers getting in an accident and having to go to the hospital as a reason for the no show/rescheduling. They were quick to sign me up for a $200 membership but are really dropping the ball every chance they get. I call and explain the first guy put duct tape on the torn duct and now the water is still dripping all over the plywood so they send out a guy who tells me he doesnt do ducts, hes just a service tech and he doesnt know why they sent him. (After waiting days for them to get a response to some to EMAIL to some manager to find out what to do about the ripped ducts and duct tape situation). The guy who came to make a materials list had no clue which ducts needed to be replaced or what to make a list of. I had to go up there and point out the duct with a couple FEET of white residue from water. Today seems to be another no-show day and Im not surprised.
They gave me a two hour window to arrive. Yonie made it to our place within 15 minutes of that two hour window. I explained the problem and it took Yonie about 15-20 minutes to diagnose and replace the faulty actuator. He explained to me what he repaired. Then waited patiently while I checked to make sure everything worked.
The Technician was on time, polite and explanative with what was going on. I will be using Davis AC from now on.

After hurrican Harvey, I needed a reliabable and knowledgable AC repair person. With several excellent recommendations from friends, I gave Davis AC a call to schedule a technician to access and fix (if possible) my problem. Walter, the technician, knew exactly what was wrong. The contactor was replaced and system charge was fine. Nothing more or less... On Sunday, uly 15, in the middle of a triple digit heat wave, my AC failed to cool. I again reached out to Davis AC early Monday morning. Amber patiently worked with me to schedule the first available appt time slot with Walter. This time the fan motor needed replacing. Walter arrived on time, replaced the fan motor and made sure the fan blades were rotating correctly. If you need a trustworthy, knowledgeable, and caring AC repair team, I highly recommend Davis AC for the job. BTW: They do it right the first time and back that slogan up with a 1 year warranty. Give them a call; you will be delighted with the scheduling, timely arrival, commitment to quality and the value for your hard earned money.
