Excellent selection of comics, board games, and off the beat path table top role playing game systems! The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable, but wont bug you if you just want to meander around the shop and peruse their goods. Their selection of plushies and collectibles (from mystery boxes to top shelf figures) is quiet impressive and well curated. Dont forget to check out their dice and enable pin inventory while looking through their comic/manga shelves. Great store, great staff, always leave a happy customer!

A great store with a little bit of everything for anyone, they have a wide variety of comics, miniatures, both board and card games, manga, books, graphic novels and more. The store has an open, accepting feel that could make anyone regardless of gender or age feel at home. I look forward to going again in the nearby future.

We dont live in AA anymore but make a point to visit everytime we go. Its got a great selection of games and they have descriptions of the game on the box so you can get a sense of what its about. They have comics and graphic novels that at great for all ages.

Excellent selection of books, manga, and figurine. The accessories they sell are well worth the visit. The true diamond is the basement filled with a wonderful variety of board games. If assistance is needed, the excellent staff will be there ready for you.

This is a cool shop on Main Street in Ann Arbor. They have an excellent selection of games in the basement which is the main reason I went there. Prices are a little high, but I guess that’s to be expected on main street. This is a great place to go for any type of board game, comic book, action figures and many more collectibles.

This group of extremely knowledgeable and hardworking people who founded this store, continue to adapt it to the trends of about 1,000 different product cultures, and still manage to smile and happily explain anything and everything they carry. I saw one founder take the time to explain the comic book universes to a woman who didnt care at first, but was genuinely interested in the vast creative worlds on those shelves after the founders quick intro speech. This store is more like a museum, and also a symbol of Ann Arbors population of nerdy but undeniably intelligent, interesting and creative populace who worship Vault of Midnight as I do. Awesome business worth supporting at all times.

Love this game store, for an Ann Arbor storefront I was worried they wouldnt have the space for all the typical game store staples like mini paint, miniatures, board games, dice, plush animals, or other merch but they find a way to fit it all in! I highly recommend giving it a visit for any of your nerdy needs.

I love this place I even like the one in Detroit I got a really good deal on the Batwing and bat cave from the animated series from them they boxed it up real nice definitely will go back and buy more

Being a fan of anything nerdy absolutely drew me to go inside and check things out. This place is huge and is beautifully displayed. if you are into pop culture board games comic books and everything in between then this is definitely the place worth stopping and checking out. the staff here was very friendly and I was shown the basement which has a huge collection of board games and lots of back issues of comics. There are a ton of gifts here and different collector items of nearly everything you can think of. Definitely a must visit if you take a stroll down Main Street.

This store is so cute and fun. They have a lot of really great figurines and the selection of dice was great. The downstairs is a great place to find new board games and older comics. And dont miss out on the adorable plushies and anime shirts. The staff was also super nice.

I want to like this place more than I do but the people working the registers are more often than not upset or dismissive. Its tough because they have a great selection of games and comics but the interactions at the register take away from the experience.

Probably hands down my favorite local comic book store. They have a massive selection of comics, manga, plushies & collectibles to satisfy your inner geek lol. Im always finding something new here every time I come. Also its the only place nearby that seems to carry the sleeping Pokémon plushies that I love. And lastly, their location is perfect right in the heart of downtown Ann Arbor. I definitely highly recommend checking it out! ^_^

I have been going to Vault of Midnight for 20 years. When my little boy asked if he could go to a comic store for the first time, there was no doubt in my mind where we would go. One of the staffers even picked out two new release SpiderHam comics when he overheard us talking about Peter Porker. My boy loved our visit, and hopefully he will have a love of comics for years to come, thanks to our friendly neighborhood Comic Staff!

A nerdy little paradise. Tabletop games, comics, manga, plushies, figures, collectables, D&D miniatures, and thats not even everything. The staff was super nice, offering help and answering questions, even making a comic recommendation because he heard us talking about Studio Ghibli. Their tabletop selection is MASSIVE. I dont know how it compares to other stores, but it took up most of the basement and they had things I hadnt heard of before.

VoM is my go to for board games. The staff is great, the selection is top notch. Prices are pretty solid for most items, come here every few weeks and spend too much $.

One of the great bookstores of America ... Specific to sci fi comics fantasy and the like. Best part is that the staff are like the bygone movie nerds who knew every film in the store, except here its even better because its like the books are all part of this big family and the staff know all their best and worst secrets and theyre generous in sharing. We only occasionally go in for a specific book - usually it is for something nerdy and science-based but not too scary and NO kissing kind of requests and they ALWAYS know the perfect book to fit. We love them so much.

A gem in Downtown Ann Arbor. Great collection of comics, graphic novels, puzzles and games for all ages! My fiancé and I found several mangas, as the manga section was fully stocked with a wide variety to browse and choose from. The employee working the front register was very helpful and recommended we also look downstairs for some unique and older comics and more rare editions as well as more games. We ended up finding a great collection of Wonder Woman comics to browse and I picked out a few to add to my collection. When we checked out, the employee gave us a loyalty punch card to use towards our next visit. This was a very fun and pleasant experience and we will definitely be back!
