Small store but the staff are very friendly and love their job and music. My kids are the musicians but they almost inspire me to play. One of my favorite stores!

I picked up my violin after many years this week, and snapped my A string shortly into practice. I called to purchase replacement strings, and Chris was able to get me a good set of strings in my price range quickly. When I picked them up, I realized the connection didn’t work with my violin. I called the store and Chris offered for me to bring it in for help. I did, and he not only re-strung my whole violin, but replaced the entire tail piece to be able to fit new small fine tuners that would suit more modern strings. He was patient, and did a great job. I’d go there again in a heartbeat!

The music lessons are reasonably priced. Roger taught my son how to play the violin. In only 1 yrs time, my son went from knowing absolutely nothing about the violin to playing in his high schools Orchestra. Also we rented to own a violin and that was reasonably priced as well. Everyone there is extremely knowledgeable on all things music and they have old school values on how they treat their customers.

Wonderful experience! I came in very late on a weeknight, like 5 minutes before close, as I was having trouble with my Sons trumpet. Band lessons started the next week, and the trumpet we pulled out of the basement from years ago was in pretty rough shape. AJ and McKenna were so nice, and genuinely happy to help (even though it was time to go home!). They stayed past the closing bell as McKenna helped me oil my valves, and AJ helped me order the music books I needed. We ultimately had to send it into the shop to get a quick tune up, but even that was great service. They set me up with a loaner, and Dennis in the repair shop kept me informed every step of the way. BRAVO Schmitt Music, AJ and McKenna!

Schmitt is great because they have selection and experts. The staff were very nice and helped a lot in selecting my daughters new Trombone. I also researched a lot, and they prices are very reasonable.

Always so helpful. Great place to get music instruments, supplies, and repairs! Communication was great while our sax was repaired and we were given a loaner. Highly recommend.

I remember the Reynolds music store as a little girl. I recently went to buy some guitar strings. Small purchase but the staff treated me as if I bought something worth a lot of money. The staff respects every purchase. The staff was as respectful 55 years ago as today. Playin Music has becoming a lost ART.

Super nice and really helpful

Reynolds is my favorite. Just moved from St Paul to Ramsey and this is the first music store me and my kids stepped into. My daughter plays trumpet and my son plays Alto Saxophone. The staff here is so kind and knowledgeable about all types of instruments. Its a joy to stop in every time!!!

Went in for a repair, I thought I would need to leave my instrument for a few days. They fixed it on the spot, in less than 10 minutes. The staff was knowledgeable and were pleasant. I would definitely recommend this store.

Best music shop Ive ever been to. They are as happy to see young students as seasoned artists. I take all of my repair needs there. (5 instruments in the family) Patrons for 6 years.

Met with Brian there today. Picked up a fairly obscure audio cable and some solderable XLR plug ends; Its nice to have a shop around that still stocks these kinds of things. He made a comment about making sure to re-order certain parts so that I might have an even better selection in the future. Very thoughtful. Prices were good.

Nice place to be, it has the family feel and is great to take your kids for music lessons (a bit pricey but worth it if your child wants) and other music items.

Sometimes youll get an employee who will try to upsell you, but as long as youre careful theyre all very friendly and its a cozy shop with great service and products
