I drove from Indiana just to get my bike from them. They went above and beyond to make sure my experience was great and took great care of me even after the fact. Had a great experience shopping and buying my first bike at the aptly named Toy Shop. Mike was very helpful listening to what I wanted and explaining my options and he didn’t try pushing me into any specific bike (or more expensive bike). Everyone in the shop was friendly and helpful and it was a overall very positive experience.

Took a new bike I bought here to get an inspection and new tires. They flushed and changed all the fluids for me. They told me I needed new wheel bearings and fork seals. They ordered wheel bearings only to tell me once they got them in that the OEM bearings wouldn’t fit due to my wheels being aftermarket. So I wasn’t able to get the new bearings they said I needed. I went to pick the bike up once it was finished only to have my clutch lever somehow fly off on my way home while on the highway. Luckily I was able to pull over under an overpass, and had get it towed home.How can you not take responsibility when the lever mount tightness was supposedly checked as part of your inspection? The lever itself wasn’t the problem as you like to keep trying shift the blame which should be easily recognizable since you claim to know so much about motorcycles and own a motorcycle shop.

I couldn’t thank the staff at the toy shop enough. They made purchasing my first bike stress free. After answering all 1000 questions I had they also went above and beyond setting me up with the essential riding gear I needed that also fit into my budget.See you guys soon for more stuff and questions lol 🤘

You could find a hundred other reviews on how they do great work and have great prices ect ect. but a recent experience I had there truly shows the quality of work that they do with their service.To put their service department in a nutshell, they do great work! And if something goes wrong they WILL fix it and make something better out of it. There is service, and then there is The Toy Shop level of service.Full review below:I bought my 2013 Ninja 650 around 2 years ago and have brought it into TTS countless times to get work done, and it has always been a positive experience. Recently though I thought that I had my first bad experience as I got a new headlight bulb installed, and when I got the bike back the front turn signal was out of its socket dangling by my front forks. After calling in and explaining the situation, they took the bike in again the next day and took a look at it immediately. After some confusion as to what happened between the techs, the figured out that the turn signal fell out due to a poor installation of a LED kit that was put on by the previous owner. Instead of charging me for putting the bulb back in or just telling me it wasnt them, they explained the situation in a very professional manner and made it right by putting the bulb back in and securing my fairing better than how I had brought it to them.Another experience I had with them was a few months back at the start of the riding season when they were going through a total remodel, getting a new POS system and were getting swamped with riders in the beginning of the season. They still managed to get me in in a timely manner but because of the new POS system, they unfortunately forgot to wash my bike. I purchased myself a $30 wash, and after realizing the mistake, they washed my bike the same day, same hour, and gave me a $100 equivalent. Even when nothing is in their favor to go right, they find a way to make it right.All in all The Toy Shop and their service goes above the expected standard which is incredibly hard to find anywhere around here.They have done more than prove themselves as a good dealer, they proved themselves as the best.Ride Safe!

Love this place! Mike is great. He makes sure you are taking care of and gives his full attention no matter how busy he is. Would recommend this place if someone is looking to buy a bike. Great selection and great prices for them. They also do work on bikes and many other things.

Had my bike serviced here, awesome people and a great environment at the Toy Shop. I was also at one of their bike nights and it was a great turnout and well run event. I would definitely go back and I highly recommend them if you want a used bike, great inventory.

This place has the potential to be really nice. I moved to the area recently and this place is nice and local for me, plus the inventory of used bikes is good but every time, like every single time I’ve either gone in or even called there, it’s been a negative experience. Very disappointed

I live in Loves park Illinois which is north of Rockford. I own a 2004 Yamaha road star 1700 and started having issue poor lighting or seems that the bike did not have enough battery juice to start the bike and run everything for long periods which made going long distance hard to do and night riding almost impossible. Then it got to the point I found myself carrying a spare battery and basically either jumping the bike or when I arrived home to put the battery on charge. I just did not use the bike much cause it was a hassle. I did some research and some diag and kinda had an idea what might be the issue. I took the bike into 2 well know shops in my area and after a day and paid diag fee I was told everything was fine and nothing was wrong, one shop said I needed a new battery. 2 days later same issue, I called these shops back and they were more willing to help me trade the bike in instead of fixing the bike. Fast forward to today, my friend told me to schedule and bring it in to the shop she works at, I made the appointment, drove the bike to toy shop and motolunge and told the guy all the info handed him the keys and told him to call me. I did not expect he called me a short time later told me what was the issue, what and how it needed to be fix and a complete break down of price and a total with tax after the intial estimate. I was shock the price wasn’t bad and how quickly they found the issue. From now I I will be taking a ride from Rockford down to Arlington heights toy shop and Motolounge because their first impression made me happy and satisfied. I highly recommend anyone who needs work done or wants to buy parts or bike please give this shop a try.

I started riding my first motorcycle this year (2020) and when I needed maintenance, The Toy Shop & Motolounge was the most referred motorcycle shop to go to. Although it took a while to get in, because it was peak season for riders, The Toy Shop had a very organized scheduling service unlike other shops. Mike, who helped out the most, made sure I got taken care of by their service department. Along with service, I bought a few sick helmets. Overall this shop provides great quality service and unbeatable prices!!!

Mike is the best.  I had an urgent request to replace the bike helmet cheek and head pads.  I called the store and requested help as I was on a rush and driving from a different state.  Though I didnt purchase either helmet or pads, they still provided the free service.   Mike completed everything just in 15 minutes without any waiting time.  Amazing and exceptional customer service. Not one of your customers. This place might be great probably. The only think i dont like about this shop is the noise it brought in the neighborhood. Now on a summer evening i cannot stay with my windows open or on the balcony because i have to hear the constant noise from the bikes driving to the shop or from the shop. Me and the whole neighborhood will appreciate if the owner can talk to the customers to reduce the noise.

Bought a helmet, couldnt be happier. Mike, one of the owners, gave me a tremendous amount of his time, was willing to order a helmet for me and wouldnt let me buy one until he found one that fit my head correctly.

This is the place to go. Stop looking. Stop guessing, worrying, anything else. I have an older Harley and they took care of me, didn’t rip me off or over sell. Just honest people that take the time no matter if you are buying a pair of gloves or a bike. I’ve been in this area for 30 years and I won’t go anywhere else for any equipment.

I took my new (to me) 2007 Ninja 250 to The Toy Shop to get it serviced. It had been sitting for awhile before I bought it, and ended up not being able to start one night. Mike and Rich worked with me every step of the way, and kept me updated on their findings for the duration of the work. The bike rides beautifully now, and all of the work was done at a reasonable price.

Picked up a pair of floorboards for my V-star from here. The staff was very knowledgeable of all products on the market and Roland took the time to explain the differences between what was out there and also cross checked pricing/availability. As Roland promised, the floor boards fit perfectly and took 10 minutes to install. There is nothing negative about Mike and his crew. Great group of people and will certainly return for any future purchases.

I would just like to say that we had amazing service all around. We took advantage of their winter special on towing in service motorcycles so we had 2 sport bikes and 1 cruiser for full maintence and a couple upgrades. Speaking with Mike at first with the towing and finalizing parts with Roland really made us feel comfortable with the price and our budget. We were told that they were a little backed up but still managed to get our bikes back to us with a timely manner and made calls with updates. Were happy to call this shop our shop for service work. I had forgotten to write a review for these guys a while back. In June, middle of the season, I got some new tires from a very busy dealer that couldnt get me in for a tire change until 2-3 weeks out! My old tires were busting at the seams. I called up The Toy Shop and they got me in right away, tries replaced in 2 days, they even went out and bought a 46mm wrench and single sided swing arm stand to do my rear tire. (Shop had just opened.) Great experience. Great customer service. Professional and nice.

Highly recommend the toy shop! They are awesome at fitting you for the gear you need and will order it if they dont have it in stock. I also really appreciate their help with ordering my bike parts as they explained the various advantages and disadvantages of different parts.

Mike fitted me for a female leather alpine stars jacket. They didnt have any in the store to try on directly but he matched my size perfectly and the jacket came into the store a few days later. I couldnt be happier with the price and purchase I made!

Bought a bike from them, less than 100 miles stator and rectifier and relay go bad. Told bikes are generally sold as is. Owner tells me to bring bike from shop where getting fixed to his shop. Bikes already being fixed. Agrees to give me $250 towards repairs. Repair bill $690. Stuck paying $440 for bike I rode less than 100 miles. Asked owner to pay rest of bill and was told no. Then owner told Me I could sell bike back to them. I agree, they never Respond. Go somewhere else!!!

We were really not impressed with the friendliness of the staff or the stores selection. First of all we were not greeted, actually we were not even approached until we were getting ready to leave. Nobody seemed to want to help even when we showed interest in one of the products. Also, being a female I expected there to be at least a womens selections. Im not the only female who rides I need to find gear as well.
