I dont write reviews - but this time I must. I rented twice during summer of 2021 and met different employees and all of them are top notch! Friendly, helpful, clean trucks, ready to go. Great location. Great service.

Ouch! Its been years since I had a retail experience this bad. I made a reservation to install a trailer hitch. When I arrived the owner, Scottie, said he couldnt find my resevration and that it didnt matter anyway because he was closing early. It was 3:45 and the published hours are open until 7. I confirmed business hours until 7. Scottie said yes we are open until 7 but im closing anway. Very Poor!

I’ve been to a few U-Haul locations in the Chicago area and this is definitely the best one. The customer service is great and the U-Haul trucks are extremely clean and well-maintained. John, who helped me out, was very thorough and answered all my questions very well.

I just needed to rent a trailer on a Sunday afternoon and it was a great experience. The staff was very helpful, and the prices were great. I’m glad to have this location so close to my house. It takes out all the trouble of renting a trailer.

Used this places several times. They are quick and by the book. I am not a fan of moving things but when I need a trailer or truck they have always come through without any surprises. I highly suggest them.

Ive rented from this facility a number of times through the last 10 years both personally and professionally and theyve always been super helpful. Ive seen some poor reviews of them but I can say with confidence that the service has always been great. Ive rented from them at least 5-6 times. The manager Ryan is a really nice guy.

Made a reservation online for a 20 truck on Wednesday for that following Saturday. Quickly got a confirmation email saying someone would contact me by 6 pm Friday night. Friday at around 10 am I decided to call the location to make sure truck would be there and everything was set. The person said truck would be there but I still may get a call confirming later in the day.Saturday morning we get there to pick up the truck and cant see any that size when pulling up. We get in there and the employee and then the owner has trouble pulling up my reservation. They finally pull it up and tell me it isnt at this location it is in the city. Then the employee starts blaming his incompetent coworker for telling me it would be there. They also claimed it said in the system someone called and told me where I was going to have to pick it up.Well there was no way we were going to the city to pick it up but they were acting like it wouldnt be a big deal and would only set us back a couple hours. One of the worst parts is they said we couldnt have any of the trucks on the property because they had reservations! The closest truck they could find us not even in the size we wanted was in Crystal Lake.We thought there was no way we were getting a truck anywhere else, but called Penske down the street and they said they had one ready for us and it also ended up being quite a bit cheaper.

If the actual location would ever answer their phones instead of letting my call go to their call center i would be doing a lot more business with them....arlington heights IL!!

Please do not rely on them. I booked the truck two weeks in advance and did online check in 12 hours before picking it up. When I get there, manager said the person who suppose to return the truck has not returned. After waiting for one hour manager informed me that I am out of luck and find arrangement elsewhere. He said UHaul will honor $50.00 but never got the money. if you are moving and want to ensure you will have the truck, this is not the place to go.

We had a very good experience with Arlington Heights U-haul. They were professional and extremely helpful. The pricing was exact to the penny. Great location and great customer service,too. I will use them again.

Very easy drop off, the man working here came out as soon as I pulled in with the rental truck and trailer. He took the keys, made some notes, I signed a screen - and was on my way out all withing 5 minutes.

Pick up and return went smoothly and quickly. Knocking off 2 stars for them leaving my trailer out in the cold, leading the back covered in ice and frozen shut. Took me half an hour to chisel it out with my tire iron.

Excellent customer service and everything was completed for me in a timely manner. The GM, Ryan Neubauer, especially went out of his way to help me above and beyond. I will definitely be a returning customer and will be referring this location to many others. 😊

Hard to get in and out. Space is limited. The employee was helpful and my return was accepted in few minutes.

My girlfriend placed an order for hitch installation with this location. I noticed on the invoice that it mentioned wiring not available. I tried to get more information, you cant contact this place, they never pick up the phone and just forward your call to the general u-haul number, which was neither helpful not nice to deal with.We requested a refund, but have they seem to just stall.Its not my first bad experience with u-haul, I try to avoid them whenever possible.

Poor service, I tried to book the 16 tuck 5 days ago, no ones ever contacted me at all, then i called one day before with them just want to confirm this truck is ready to pick up. Then they told me that my reservation was canceled and no truck is available for me. I am extremely disappointed.

It would be my recommendation to NOT book your reservation with them. After making the initial reservation and securing it with my credit card, I was already nervous and wanted to call and confirm the truck and pricing the next business day. There was no need. Another employee called at 7:30 the next morning and said, although a booking was made, they had no trucks available. In addition, the requested pick up time was NOT what had been discussed. Extremely disappointed but relieved I found out the day before. They will not be receiving any of my future business.

GO SOMEWHERE ELSE! As I walked into the Arlington Heights location, I was greeted by a forced belch from one of the employees. Furthermore, the credit card processing machine does not beep after reading the chip (first time ever encountering a processor that does not beep repeatedly until the card has been removed). I ended up forgetting my card. I receive a call shortly after informing me of my mistake. I asked if he could put the card aside and I’d be back later to pick it up. As my wife arrived four hours later, my card was smack dab in the middle of the counter for anyone to grab or see. Less than 24 hours later, my bank sends me a fraud alert from someone trying to use my card in Sacramento to buy pre-ordered groceries. Also, the truck’s alignment was pulling and the suspension was jacked up as well.

They always do a great job getting us what we need. Thanks Thomas and entire staff.

I needed a trailer for a motorcycle, the Des Plains location has been sold out, one phone call and the guys from over directed me to Arlington Heights location. They find immediately the proper one and the job was done. Thank you.

Booked a pickup truck online then I called to confirm when I got here they told me they transferred my reservation to Palatine location!!!!!No one called or anything. The guy didn’t even apologize or anything then I saw a van in the parking lot I asked him if I can take that one he said No it’s not for rent then I said oh really so it’s just there for decoration???Do go here. Very disappointing!

Booked at another Uhaul 30 miles from here this location never bothered to call to say we had to come here or we would have canceled . Staff could have cared less never even apologised or anything.

I thought these guys were good.. but the circuit box they installed died after using it JUST 5 times. Uhaul tells me I didnt purchase an extended warranty plan so im SOL. This is how they work. They put cheap ass parts on your car and they fail after 5 times. Dont ever bother with UHAUL

Liars...if you make a one way appointment for a rental from this location, dont expect them to actually have a one way truck available. Frustrating, but the guys that work there do their best to make up for what U-Haul lacks

Manager is a POS, charged me on the wrong card & I wanted to pay with another card & he said sorry cant help you and hung up on me.. Most the people that work here should be fired.

I got appointment 8am for install tow kit...I drive 28miles and when I arrive guy from front desk said mechanic is not available today Nobody call me!!! Zero stars for this place

Ive had better service at other uhaul locations, team members are way too serious idont know maybe thats how they are or how theyre supposed be im not sure but they could atleast act like they like their job.

I went in to see about a trailer to be told my car does not have what it needs to pull one. It was a waste of a trip could be a better way of finding this out before I waste my trip, but the guy at the front desk was very kind so the stars go to him!

Worst service Ive ever experienced... I rented a 10 truck at this location. The person behind the counter Paul Sarantopoulos the General Manager is not client service oriented. When he realized I was renting the truck for 4 days he even said to me RIDICULOUS. I dont see the problem if I am paying for a service they are offering. Also, Paul if you believe this is ridiculous, you never say that to a customer. He also misspelled my name and my email when I spelled it for him and gave him my drivers license. As a consequence, I didnt get the final receipt and I had to go back to the shop. The other people behind the counter like Joe are extremely nice and client face oriented unlike his boss.READ THE OTHER REVIEWS AND STAY AWAY FROM THIS Uhaul, specially away from PAUL SARANTOPOULOS (Team Member Since 2011... you have a long way to go)
