WE STRONGLY recommend you do NOT order a factory Remanufactured engine from this company, or Lycoming. This has been a horrible experience for our flying club from beginning to end. We decided to go with a zero time Reman and pay a premium over our local shop cost to reduce the downtime for overhaul. We paid in advance and were given a ship date months in the future, We scheduled the removal of the 2000 hour engine days before the expected arrival of the new engine. We were NOT notified of a delay in the shipment unit a day before it was supposed to ship, when we had already taken the airplane out of service and sent the Propeller off for remanufacturing. After multiple further delays and over 2 months late, the engine arrived with oil lines loose that could have caused a disaster, the wrong flywheel, and other defects. Here we are now after 100 hours on the new engine and after breaking it in completely following protocol of high power, full rich, low altitude flying it still uses/burns a quart of oil every 7-9 hours. The downtime would have been reduced with a simple communication in advance when they knew Lycoming was behind schedule, When we brought the issue to their attention all we got was an apology... no attempt to compensate us for their errors. We expected the highest quality engine available and got a less than adequate rebuild. We recommend going to your local engine rebuilder... not this company or Lycoming direct.

I bought a rebuilt Lycoming engine through Air Power, and have waited months since full payment to receive delivery of the engine. They are not helpful and not friendly at all, even after I spent $28,000 cash on an engine that I have yet to receive. I’ve waited for almost 5 months now, still no engine, and they continue pushing the delivery date down the road. I genuinely regret the decision to buy through them. If you need to buy a Lycoming engine get it through a different reseller.

I order my engine part from Air Power for first time after 2 mouth waiting .I call them they side trying to get hold of me (they never send me email or phone calls) they want me to wire the money .I did 2 weeks ago . I called them today my order is not shipped yet. I buy my parts from aircraft spruce for last 40 years I never had to wait this long.

VERY HELPFUL service recently, and over the past several times I have needed parts for my C-182. Steve Vacek was very helpful in answering my questions, etc.

The Cessna unit ordered online was mentioned stock in their website and the order was placed on July 2nd .The order hasnt still shipped out till now (July 10th ) .They advised the material was received from the factory on July 9th .But they are saying they are having lot of pending orders to be received in their system and will try to ship the order even though wetwe them the order is very critical and we need to get the materials out before the weekend .Till now they are not giving any sort of assurance on shipping .Very poor customer service !! .

Truly an outstanding customer experience. The owners should be commended for valuing the employees and customers. I have used Aircraft Spruce a lot more, but now have learned that Air Power is usually a better option for expensive components and parts for engines and Cessna Aircraft, and sometimes they beat the price on smaller stuff too.

I would like to start off by saying that this started out as a negative review. I did have a overnight shipping problem from Airpower and I was very upset that I did not receive some critical engine parts in time. After my negative review, I was contacted by Michelle at Airpower and they informed me that they were very concerned about the well being of all of their customers. She was genuinely sorry about the mishap and assured me that there would be a company meeting regarding the issue and they would come up with a policy to make sure that it did not happen again to any customer. I will also tell you that they refunded my shipping costs to help make it right with me. At this time I would feel confident in ordering from Airpower again.
