I purchased this regular stock part- capacitor from local business in support. I tried to return it within 24 hrs of purchase. Return was rejected because it was installed with microscopic scratch. Not sure if anyone can see in the picture. Mistake to buy from store, buy on Amazon youll find most of their products there and have better chance of returning it. Its sad I had to write this but wanted to warn others of what to expect in case you ever decide to buy from them. Be cautious as they wont return anything !!!Follow-up on Jims comment. No, when I purchased there was No showcasing of lack of scratches on the terminals. There is still no scratches on the terminal. Its just a reason not to return it. I would bet theyll always find something not to return it.Again this is just a warning for anyone who purchases from this establishment that they WILL find any reason to to return your product. They even print you a letter that gives every kind of assumption of why it wont be returned. Just buy it under the assumption it will not be RETURNED, and youll be satisfied.

I have to commend Chris at the Arlington, TX store for his assistance and patience in helping me replace a baking element in my older model Whirlpool oven. It was apparent that the model number provided did not easily match up with a particular part currently listed (I even took off the metal plate that had the model and serial numbers and brought that in with me ), We solved the problem and my oven is now repaired at way below cost of a service call. Thanks again, Chris!

Needed a couple of replacement parts for a gas range. U-Fix-It (Arlington, TX location) had one of the parts in stock and was able to order the other part and had it in-store the next day. Chris was professional and courteous (and I will add patient with me as I had some vent hood parts to search for as well). I drove an hour one-way to pick up what I needed and it was worth the time. The universal igniter I picked up was easy to install and came with several styles of wiring harness connectors...selected the one that matched and snapped it onto the bare ends. I would not hesitate to reach out to U-Fix-It again for appliance parts.

My LG fridge had low pressure filtered water dispenser and low ice maker production. Googled the possible problem. Turned out I needed an electric water valve replaced. Called UFIXIT, Chris pulled one out, had it waiting for me. Took it home, 20 minutes later, bam! Fixed! Saved a bundle!! Great customer service! Thanks Chris!

Edit: Accidents happen. The owner responded to my review and asked me to contact him to make it right. To be brutally honest its not necessary, accidents happen. Just from the owner response I am changing my review as this shows the owner truly does care about his customers, and that in itself is a commodity these days.Called, gave model number of microwave and part number for the part. Person who answered spent a little time and said they did indeed have the part. Drove 30 minutes to get the part, turns out person didnt search correctly etc and they did not have the part. Waste of time. Got an Im sorry man, must have auto corrected or changed when he searched.Giving 3 stars because they were somewhat nice about it, but an hour of my time wasted and driving.

I was calling around for a part for my LG dryer and was having no luck, then I called U-Fix-It and the person that answered the phone picked it up on the first ring, which was great considering I had sat on hold with home depot for about 30 minutes prior. I gave him the part number, and as soon as I got the first few digits out the employee, Joshua I believe, knew the brand of the appliance part! That was astounding and just goes to show the knowledge of the staff/employees which is quite impressive! Then told that employee Id be coming in to pick it up. On my way I realized I would be getting there within minutes of closing so I called back and let that same employee know, and to my amazement he said thatd be fine and if for whatever reason the door is locked just know and we will take care of you, and he said he would pull the part up to the front, which he did! I got there right at 6, door was unlocked as there was a customer in there and they helped me with everything I needed and even answered a few related questions i had. I was quite impressed when I wasnt rushed out the door even though it was quitting time. All in all U-Fix-It has OUTSTANDING service. Definitely above the rest. As far as prices go, they are fair, and the service counters the price. In this instance it seemed borderline worth it to me to pay a little over twice what I could have paid online for this service, knowledge and product. Thanks!

Called and spoke with Nathan about a specific part. He spoke clearly and was kind. He asked if they could hold the part for me until I was able to pick up later that day. Once arriving I was greeted by a new hire trainee, and assisted quickly. Answered my questions with no fuss and completed my transaction with ease. The return policy is very clear and printed on the back of each receipt. Thank you for great inventory and customer service!

I was so happy that they have online contact available. Sometimes I am multitasking and cannot get to the phone. Not only did Joshua verify the part to be in stock within 10 min; he held it for me to pick up at the Arlington Store. When I arrived I was greeted with a smile. Joshua and his teammate were very pleasant to deal with. I will definately recommend this store to my friends when looking for appliance parts.

I’ld like to post this for the record that I have no kind of electrical or technician experience. With help of google, a YouTube video, and some tips from my dad; I was able to replace the heating element and an idler pulley on my dryer. I needed a part and called around a few places when I stumbled across this store. Their prices were unbeatable compared to appliance part stores that were closer to my area. I drove 30 mins to get here and called and spoke to Joshua over the phone beforehand who was kind and willing to help even though I had a good idea of what I was doing. The willingness to help a newbie was encouraging. The front desk guy was genuinely kind and provided useful info as well... plus I fixed my own dryer like the name says “U-Fix-It”. I ended up coming back for another part later, so about 2 hours back and fourth and it was totally worth it. Thank you. Saved me some money too.

I went on April to get a door handle for my dryer. Joshua assisted me and was friendly and helpful.They have all those repairable parts that you need for your domestic appliances. Stoves, fridge, washer, dryer, etc.I will call them before I go just to make sure that they have the part.Keep in mind some parts you can buy it in Amazon and other online stores, if you dont mind spreading your credit cards info, all over the cyber space.

Very nice and helpful staff. They go above and beyond to answer any questions. I didnt even purchase anything from them after my intentions were to but the staff helped me figure out what was wrong n it wasnt the part I cam in to buy. They didnt have to do that. Most places would try and sell you their product instead of helping you diagnose the problem. Thanks U-Fix-It. I will definitely only ever come back to yall if I need anything in the future. My AC unit stopped working, and I suspected it was the motor. When I called to see if they had the part, they told me to bring in the motor and capacitor and tested them for me. They also gave me detailed instructions on how to install the new motor and capacitor and helped me remove the fan from the motor. Great service and very knowledgeable employees.

Jim, My Whirlpool dryer went out about 10 days ago. I found a new heating element on-line for a good price but was not sure if it was the right part. I dreaded this job because the dryer has to come out of tight spot in order to work on it. If it takes an hour to do this job, I figure on at least 5 hours.THEN, I read your site. I figured it cant be the breaker, because the dryer was working, but not heating. After reading your site, I checked the breaker. Thanks for saving me a whole Sunday afternoon. I flipped the breaker switch back and forth a few times the dryer works fine.THANKS A MILLIONBob

The guys at U-Fix-It had the right parts for my A/C unit repair job and saved me almost $600 versus the repair tech! AND they tested my capacitor and found that it was not faulty, even though the tech told me it needed to be replaced. He was going to charge me $299 for that alone. Total cost for parts at U-FIX-IT was 30 bucks vs 600. Thank you guys!Secondly, the shop is very clean, the crew is very professional and knowledgeable. They also helped me with my install questions. Ill definitely be back next time something breaks!

The folks here were super friendly, very helpful and upfront about store policies. Its obvious that they take helping folks out and coaching them through the steps necessary to accurately diagnose problems with their appliances seriously. Considering they were not only close to internet pricing on some parts I needed, they were actually cheaper on others! That is amazing value in my book! Great job guys! Dryer died, no clue what to do. Started calling to find out if it was in/off switch. Beautifully helpful young man told us to check the fuse first. Never heard of dryer having one. Explicite directions and presto! Went into cleanest parts store Ive ever seen! Fuse was bad. Put into dryer and after cleanup works beautifully! Dear lord ty for putting such a great place nearby! Saved me new major appliance bill!

Great Service:I went to U -Fix-It to get a part to fit my washer, the guy at the counter as very helpful. He not only told me what as wrong with the washer he also showed me how to test the old part to make sure it was bad before installing the new part. You dont see great service like this anymore, anywhere, ever.

All of my appliances are about 18 years old but I hate the new products they are pushing these days...total junk! I have been able to make all the necessary repairs with the very knowledgeable staff at the Arlington location. I merely research, troubleshoot and remove the parts. The gentleman at the store always double checks my parts. He sends me home with reasonably priced new replacement parts and voila...good as new. I have replaced the wiring harness on my electric stovetop, replaced the timer and water inlet valve in my dishwasher. Replaced a timer mechanism and the door sensor on my dryer. This place is so user friendly that even a gal can handle fixing all the appliances around the house rather easily. In the past I would have to order parts on the internet and wait. The prices here are even lower than the best internet deals plus shipping. This is my go to for all my appliances. It has saved me $$$$$$! And my husband LOVES that I can fix it myself!

I called earlier this morning to ask it U-FIX-IT had a part in stock for my refrigerator. I gave the part number for the part. They said that they had one in stock. I gave the part number off of the fan. I wanted to make sure they had it in stock before I drove an hour into town to get the part. I gave my name to have them hold it. When I arrived he brought the part to me. IT WAS THE WRONG PART! NOT EVEN THE SAME PART NUMBER! I was extra careful to give the correct part number, the one they showed me was not even close! They guy at the counter did not seem to care. He did not even offer to check the other stores in the DFW area to see if they carried it. I will but this from Amazon. I needed this for the 4th. I could have gone to another town in the opposite direction to get this part also. I will not do business with UFIXIT again. Any they probably wonder why Amazon and online stores are doing so well. He could have apologized and at least pretend to care. I would recommend others to do business else ware, you cannot trust this store. The guy’s name on the business card is Edgar, don’t believe or trust him.

I went to u-fix-it Appliance and parts and the gentleman that was working he checked one of the parts that I took to his store he checks to part and he said that I was a little bit hard for him to say that what was wrong with it but he knew that part was fine and he still solving a part when I figure out the part wasnt the problem I try to try to go back and get my money and he said that he wasnt able to get my money back anymore so you know think about it twice if you want to do business with them

A/C blowing hot air....Talked to the guys at the Arlington store, took my fan motor and capacitor in for testing. Both items checked out ok so the VERY helpful counter guy told me how to hook up the fan and capacitor bypassing a relay switch....A/C blowing COLD air (bad relay switch) total cost of repair....$3.00 in fuel to store! WAHOO!! Thank you U-FIX-IT!!!

Our front loading Whirlpool washer would work just fine until it got to the spin cycle. And then stop. Jim took the model number and error code and correctly diagnosed the problem as a faulty pressure switch. The pressure switch was as easy to replace as a car fuse. We had an issue with our GE refrigerator. Being a 19-yr old unit, we were afraid we may have to buy a new one. Being retired and on a fixed income, that would not be healthy for us at this time. However, contacting the U Fix It store in Arlington, Texas, both Gary and Edgar helped us with various tips and such and we took our unit apart, took some parts to be tested. Once they tested and found out which ones were defective, we got new parts, came home and installed them. Our refrigerator is purring away, we hope for another 19 years, . . .ALL TO THE THANKS OF THOSE AT U FIX IT! thank you, guys!

BUYER BEWARE!!!!My Samsung front loading dryer quick working about a month ago so I disassembled it and quickly diagnosed the heating element to be the issue. I had my daughter buy a new one from U-Fix-it on her way home from work. My daughter told me that the salesman at U-Fix-it stressed to her several times that they do not warranty their parts once they are installed! I found that to be a unusual company policy but didnt really care too much just needed the part. I work for a large company in the power generation industry that stays very busy and I try not to sweat all the little things so I installed the element and reassembled the dryer and everything worked great until about 4 days ago. Of course I was busy at work when the dryer went down again, so I assumed this second dryer failure was another heating element failure again, I thought possibly the dryer duct got crushed when I pushed the dryer back into place and maybe I caused the new heating element to prematurely fail. So this time I had my son buy a second heating element from U-Fix-it. My son asked the U-Fix-it associate if we could return it if we didnt use it and the answer was yes. I get home dissassembly the dryer and resistance tested the heating element and it tested good. I did some more troubleshooting and discovered the promblem was incorrect voltage to the dryer. Therefore I did not need the heating element my son purchased. Today my daughter called me from U-FIX-IT to tell me that she tried to return the heating element back to U-Fix-it and the guy there refused to take it back because he claims he can tell we used the heating element because the plug terminals show scratches on them therefore we must have used it! My daughter told this guy that the part wasnt used and he called her a liar. I told my daugher that I wanted to talk to this guy on the phone, I wanted to explain to him that if the heating element was used it would very obvious because it would be discolored from all the heat!!! This guy refused to even talk to me and told her that she needed to leave the store!!! I no longer care about returning the heating element or their corrupt business practices! Now I am outraged by the way this supposed company disrespected my family !! I dont think businesses like this should be allowed to have their doors open! I normally dont take the time to do reviews but I really hope this review prevents this from happening to anyone else and I will also be filling a complaint with the BBB.

I bought a heating element and ended up not needing it. It was never installed so I called and they said I could return it. When my daughter went to return it for me the guy told her it was used and wouldnt return the money. She told him it wasnt and called my husband which the guy refused to talk to him on the phone and told my daughter to leave the store. I will never buy anything from U Fix it again. Horrible customer service and so disrespectful to my daughter!

You are better off buying a new appliance if you have to resort to buying a part from this place.
