I’m giving this store 5 stars because of the staff. The store is as any would expect (clean, presents well, etc). The staff are patient, kind and informed.
The customer service at this store is horrific. They made an even exchange extremely difficult (same brand, size, price, etc., just a different style/pattern). I would highly suggest shopping elsewhere. If there are any issues with your purchase, they’ll likely tell you to call the 800 number, which is time consuming and frustrating. After reading some of the other reviews, I agree completely with the ones that indicate that the Manager is extremely rude. Maybe that’s the root cause of all of these complaints.
Just visited this store to pick up a gift item I ordered. Quickly prepared my item in one day with gift wrapping which was done nicely. I needed a rolling pin but couldn’t find online so the associate Anh allowed me to come in and browse for a rolling pin. He was very friendly and provided perfect professional customer service. I would definitely come back to this location when in the area again. Thank you for your help! I recommend this location!
Good store. I get sodastream refills here. Always friendly service.
AVOID THIS STORE. I used to love shopping at this store prior to COVID-19 but Ive noticed the customer service has tanked. Williams-Sonoma (WS) is a great company with great products, however the Clarendon store employees are costing the brand money and negatively affecting the brands reputation. The employees need to be immediately retrained on how to interact with Customers of Color, especially with Black American men and women. The WS outlet in Leesburg is phenomenal. The WS in Tysons Corner also has consistently showed phenomenal customer service. If you are a Customer of Color be careful in the Clarendon WS store, you will not feel welcomed by the employees. I refuse to spend my hard earned dollars in a hostile environment.
What can I say, its Williams-Sonoma. Wr were some cooking fools. We got some essential pots. I finally bought 2 specialty pans to work with our planned meals and I got to essential pan that Ill be using throughout the holiday season. My sales rep. Was an eager yet adept young man who not only got me exactly waht I wanted. He uphold me and shipped me something currently not in stock. Great job!
Rude older lady working there. Please learn some manners, you don’t just yell at adults and not even apologize. Will not be coming back
Its relatively easy to get there via bike from DC. The online order pickup is very quick and convenient.Everything is somewhat overpriced.
As a huge fan of William and Sonoma, I was not impressed with the professionalism of the General Manager. After visiting multiple times and making purchases, I had the opportunity meeting her when asking about a product. Her off putting demeanor and lack of time to offer assistance was extremely unprofessional. I’ve worked with many associates in the past and did not experience a “ I don’t have time for your because I am the General Manager experience.” After addressing my concerns with other associates they indirectly told me “she is always busy.” What a sad experience. I give three stars because the associates are very helpful and friendly.
I was a loyal WS shopper, however after a phone call with the Clarendon store associates today (7/13) I am considering pulling my wedding registry from them and never going back. I called to inquire about purchasing a $500 KitchenAid mixer that has been advertised as exclusive to WS for months. The female sales associate that answered the phone was friendly but had no idea what I was talking about and seemed very unfamiliar with any of their high-end products, yikes! I called back with the SKU number to make sure she knew what I was specifically talking about and while we were conversing, she was laughing and chatting with a guy in the background who I heard say in a VERY sassy and rude tone OMG tell her we dont have it ugh! That is NO way to treat a customer especially in the retail world when businesses are tanking. The man in the background was the Clarendon Stock Manager and his name is Chuck. I hope corporate reaches out to him and sends him and his whole team back to training for Customer Service 101. I will go out of my way to drive to the Bethesda store now. This one seems it might shut soon as its doing so poorly from all of the bad ratings. I will also NOT recommend WS to any of my friends getting married so they dont waste their time registering here. I will be giving my $500 to KitchenAid moving forward.
Visited the store last week to set up a registry and Lori was such a great help! She even brought us coffee while we shopped around. The staff were patient, knowledgeable, and pointed us in the right direction. I will continue to visit this W&S in Clarendon!
Great experience in purchasing a new espresso machine. Rebecca and Gina were extremely helpful and nice as can be! We asked a ton of questions and these ladies knew all the answers! My wife and I were super impressed with the level of customer service and attention we received-- that is so hard to come by these days! We will definitely be back!
Horrible service by the staff. I will not be visiting this store again. I waited in line with my pie dish and a baby for 10 minutes while I watched the staff chatting with the customer. This was 2 PM in the afternoon and the store was empty. There was another staff member who didn’t bother to help me out either. I got fed up with their awful service so I left without purchasing any items. Extremely disappointed.
This guy behind the counter was extremely RUDE last night 9/10/2019!!! I will never shop here again. I should have learned his name. I was not treated like a paying customer. He ignored my question and repeated the same thing to cut me off. He also cut me off while I was asking for different item. I do not want to deal with any standoffish sales person in a store when I spend my money. Very rude. Never again.
Standard Williams-Sonoma with the normal selection. The employees are very helpful as well. They have stuff thats discounted normally as well in certain areas thats normally a pretty good deal if you use it.
Great selection of bougie items! But actually this place is nice, things are pretty expensive but their samples are amazing and they allow dogs! And the quality of all of their merchandise seems to be very high.
Need a gift for the gourmet cook/foodie in your life? William-Sonoma provides a central location for that person with a wide selection of kitchen and table ware gadgets help with their next creation at home. The knowledgeable staff will help you figure out your questions, special order something, and provide excellent recommendations. They also throw information sessions about cooking techniques if you need to work on knife skills, or want to learn to perfect that dish youve been preparing for the holidays. So if you need a one stop shop for kitchen goods, with a knowledgeable staff, swing by and pick up your holiday gift--leaving with it wrapped for free!
Extremely poor customer service. I brought back an electronic salt shaker ( I did not wanted money back, nor exchange, just may be the courtesy of an small credit towards it, because it worked only for a few weeks) I was also buying another $250 of small appliances. The staff only told me that the policy is 30 days return, and that was nothing they could do. I politely told them thank you and I left all my purchases behind. Went across the street to Crate and Barrel and bought all the same stuff and more (spent over $ 300 ). Shame, when you spend thousands of dollars regularly in one brand, is dissappointing to receive such poor treatment for a $15/20 thing. Needless to say I won’t ever shop there again!
Probably the worst customer service I have ever experienced. I inquired about coffee makers and I was rudely cut off, talked over and demanded to specify more information when I was in the middle of explaining my needs. All I wanted was to understand some of the differences between the top of the like coffee makers... this should have been easy enough and non-combative. I will never go there again.
I came here because it’s the only store within 5 miles of my house that does soda stream refills.Don’t shop here if you’re in a hurry. I came in on a Saturday night and I spent 20 minutes standing in “line” to get my refills. They only had one check stand open and the people were being a bit unruly so it took a while. Then 2 more check stands opened up and people flocked to the other side, and I was stuck waiting for refills. I would have been better off asking for help and just ringing up that way. Really poor engineering design for determining customer flow.
I love all Williams-Sonoma stores, but this one has an exceptionally friendly staff. I was in the market for a Nespresso and the man took the time to show me all their models, how each differs from the other, and even made me a cup of coffee so I could see it in action! This store has any and every kitchen tool youll ever need and a staff that can answer any and every question you may have.
Friendly staff, high quality service
Excellent customer service, well stocked store.
Very lovely staff and a nice selection. They carry Fortnum & Mason Tea (famous from the UK), so I was super excited to go.
We really love shopping at Williams Sonoma. A good store if youre looking for most high end cooking appliances and cookwear. Although you can generally find a majority of the items they have elsewhere for less money, its still a good store packed with great products. We did purchase our Instant Pot from this location and the price and sale helped to bring the price into a competitive range (we were also looking at Sur la Table, but they didnt habe the same model). At the time we got help from several different employees, there seemed to be some tension over who would get credit for the sale amongst the employees, which put us in an awkward situation 😶😕.
The staff was really nice and help full and every thing is super nice and cool
Courteous and professional assistance, but beware I went in to purchase a Staub Cast -Iron Universal Deluxe Pan and the associate informed me the store had only two pans in inventory, but the only thing was they did not have a box for either one, but could put it in a Williams -Sonoma box if liked. So the associate radioed an inventory person to bring down “ the better looking one”. When the inventory person brought down what I assumed was the better looking pot, it was damaged around the rim and the glass top was not a Staub glass top it was a PYREX top! Did he really think I was going to purchase this put together fabricated ensemble ????? I used my PR skills and asked if the display item could be purchased and if found favorable be reduced to a discounted purchase price. Disappointed with the attempt to sale a half baked Staub item.
Excellent customer service. I get some of my pour-over coffee supplies here.
Customer service is great
A bit expensive, and a few items arent quite as nice as Id hoped. But lots of inventory, and a helpful staff
Small store 🏬 so it can get a bit crowded trying to move through the aisles but good selection
Very helpful staff, but few items were overpriced. Love the store.
Cant go wrong with a Williams Sonoma.
Excellent selection of kitchen gadgets
High quality and nice staff.
Very nice sure conveniently located but parking is little hassle
Rude, rude, rude person behind the counter.
Fun to browse
