Called for a simple consultation was told he couldnt do it wouldnt even give me a referral to another business that might or anything like that. Not very personable at all.

I needed a rear view mirror with a compass to be wired in to the electrical system of the car. They did the job quickly and neatly. They even took the time to program the manufacturers settings. They were friendly and priced reasonably. I would recommend them without hesitation.I went back several months later to have them install a backup camera system. The manufacturer assured us that this was plug and play...it wasnt. There were problems that required considerable patience and determination. Steve worked it through and I ended up with another positive outcome. Yet another reason to recommend using their services.

I brought in my Sony turntable from the 1980s to figure out if the stylus was bad. He found the problem quickly and fixed it easily. VERY knowledgable and do great work. My turntable sounds amazing! Well definitely use this local business again for any stereo needs.

We recently hired the Stereoman to install background music for our sales floor here at Liberty Bicycles. We were nervous about doing an install ourselves or having to pay a premium for an unneeded or expensive system. Steve provided a perfect system for our needs, while staying inside our budget and installing on site in a time frame that worked for us. Dropped off a Vintage Radio in June. We talked about how only the am worked but not the FM, seemed to think it was a easy fix. I ask him about cleaning the knobs after the back had been removed because it would be easier to get them clean, oh yes we can do that no problem. He told me I had to put a deposit which I did $100. He said it probably would just need a good cleaning and didn’t think it would much at all. I said I didn’t want to put much more than that in it. He told me it would take him awhile to get to it, I said no problem at all I was just excited that it could be fixed. After 3 months I hadn’t heard from him, so I called and ask how it was going that I wasn’t rushing him But I was checking in. Oh, I have cleaned it and I have ordered a tube. Okay I said call me when you know something. 6 months later in December I called and said I haven’t heard from you and it’s been 6 months. Which I think is plenty of time. Oh I ordered a tube can’t figure out what’s wrong with it. I said it had been 6 months that I should come pick it up and he told me he owed me a refund, Never said how much. When I went to pick it up he was wishy washy and finally figured out where he put it and brought it out to me. I said what about the deposit? He said it was his for his time! The Radio is NOT FIXED and Looks like it’s been untouched. It is the same amount of dirty as it was when I took it in. I can look through the back and see that he did blow the dust out of it. I understand that he should be paid for time spent finding the solution, but he was the one telling me how easy and inexpensive that he thought it would be. I Would NOT take anything there nor Recommend anyone. I was patient and gave him the benefit of the doubt. I was taking advantage of!

Steve is a great guy and will treat you honestly and with courtesy. Fixed my stereo in within the time he said he would and stands behind his work. Good stuff!

This place is a joke. Do not take any vintage audio equipment to them. They ripped me off for 50 bucks. Took them an amp to have contacts cleaned. I dont think he even took the cover off of it. They also lost parts that I took them for an example. .Bunch of idiots if ya ask me.

I recently bought an RV that had only a basic radio. Steve was so generous with his time and advice. He helped me to select the perfect Bluetooth system, radio and backup camera. He installed all of these with great care and even helped set up my RoKu! I just spent my first weekend in my RV since he did the installation and everything worked beautifully! StereoMan and Son is the go-to place for all your car audio installation services! I first went to StereoMan and Son back during the summer of 2014 and his son Dan, did an excellent job installing my door speakers into my 2014 Kia Optima. I told him, that I will be back in the later months to have my touchscreen radio installed as well. Fast forward to this past weekend and I took my car back to them to install my Pioneer AVH-X4700BS touch screen DVD receiver, Back-Up Camera, SiriusXM radio, steering wheel controls, sub-woofer, and amp. I must say, they got the job done in a matter of hours and did an EXCELLENT JOB!! Even the pricing was great!! I highly recommend StereoMan and Son and will go to them if I ever need any installations done!! A++++

Stereoman is called Stereoman for a reason. He rewired much of my car after another shop had improperly done it. He put in a whole new system, and it sounds great! Plus, his rates are more than fair, and hes great to work with. Thanks Stereoman!

The only person in asheville nc that fixes car audio that i know of,,, if you have a interest in car audio he is more then happy to let you watch the install and explain what he is doing,,, no other shops that i know of will allow customers to do this
