Love this place, all natural products, owner is a very very sweet lady, I bought a lotion candle and two bar soaps, love them. Highly recommended!

As soon as you walk in the smell is lovely and the woman working the store and checkout was super lovely. We bought some soaps and T-shirts. She recommended some eateries as well. Some place we would visit again and shop. Thank you for the welcome.

Ive never shopped here, but I have bought the soaps from my local Ingles. They smell amazing and leave my skin so soft and moisturized. Id love to take a trip to the actual shop and get more variety. Great soap!!

This fun soap store was a big hit with me and my friend!We were just roaming around Asheville looking to spend all of our money!We walked into this charming store and met Pam! She was easy to talk to and knowledgeable about her products!We were sniffing out the bath bomb area, when Victor greeted us, and had us laughing in seconds.I admittedly didnt want to leave their store. Not only was their products fantastic! So was the conversation we had with the owners. Super cool people I will return and I will tell the world how awesome this store is!

Dont miss this Appalachian gem- a charming shop with a warm and friendly atmosphere, a lovely and helpful shopkeeper with a bright smile, and inspiring southern hospitality. While visiting Asheville, NC, for mothers day with my mom and husband. This treat was easy to find downtown Asheville, just steps down a quaint brick road bustling with shoppers and diners waiting for their favorite restaurant. We enjoyed exploring all the different bath bombs, candles, and natural soaps, which we have been using for a month. Were going back for more! Great value, the soap smells incredible and is soft on the skin with a silky smooth lather. My favorite soap is their lavender mint. I also grabbed a giant sea sponge, and wow, combined with their handmade soaps; it makes shower time so luxurious! Thank you for helping make our visit to Asheville so special!

Super love this store! Organic, cruelty free soaps, lotions and salves. Ideal for people with sensitive skin. I picked up several different bars for my home spa collection. I went out on a limb and picked up the Face the Facts Complexion bar- it’s amazing! The soap bars are LARGE. Recommend cutting them when you get home for easy-use. Debbie was working the day I went in- we had a great time chatting, sharing stories and laughing. She’s super sweet and Victor, the owner and soap master, is lucky to have her! Sample Everything!

Was making a purchase through their online store where, at the time, candle melts were not listed. I called and explained that I was buying some soap and matching melt but could not find it. The associate told me to pick out another soap that was of equal price to the melt and she would remember my name and replace the extra soap with the melt. When the package arrived, everything was there that I wanted, along with a wonderful handwritten note. Thank you Debbie for taking care of me!

My husband and I always visit Appalachian Naturals anytime were able to make it into Asheville. Being from Florida, we rarely get the opportunity to do so. Our last two trips to the store (this past week) and back in December have been made extra special by an awesome employee named Drew. He always welcomes us with a huge Hello! Welcome in! while making sure he is available for any questions we may have. He truly makes the experience all the more enjoyable. As for the shop itself, its tucked away on a cute street lined with local shops and restaurants. The aroma of freshly made soaps seeps out onto the walkway and makes you want to take a look inside. With the vast variety of soaps, bath bombs and other items combined with their incredible customer service, its a shop you wont want to miss out on going to.

I stopped by to grab another one of their AMAZING loofahs but found out their Candler store is just a workspace now and they are focusing solely on their downtown store. The owner was incredibly kind and gave me a complexion bar as a thank you for supporting their business. Not only did that warm my heart but the bar is absolutely incredible (like everything else I have used from there). It smells amazing, leaves my face so soft and bright, and it was all made with so much love (by hand mind you!) and with all sustainable, natural ingredients. You already had a lifelong customer but now it feels so personal. Thank you!! This is the kind of small business we need to support through and through!

I live in Clemson SC and visited this store last year. I bought a roll-on tube of peppermint oil. I love its multi purpose uses. Im running low, so decided to visit their online store, but couldnt find the oil. I called and Delilah was able to get 2 tubes mailed to me. She included a bar of soap which repels bugs because I work outside. I am extremely pleased with their customer service, friendliness, and the way they operate. Thank you so very much Delilah and Victor. I will definitely be a repeat customer.

Come support local! The owners of this shop are so sweet and friendly whenever I come in. Plus all the soaps are amazing and use only pure, natural ingredients. I’ve personally tried the “Unwind” one and a chia seed oatmeal one and loved them both. They have all the relaxation supplies you need from bath bombs to candles to robes. A very charming Asheville store.

Went in there last night and had a great experience! There was a younger guy from candler who helped us and he was extremely polite, friendly, talkative and personable. That’s what customer service should be like. We picked up some soaps we are excited about and chatted with him for a little since no one else was in the store. You guys have a great employee and we will definitely be coming back! Also, these people have really great soap :)

We were truly impressed today shopping at Appalachian Naturals enjoying both their products and most importantly the friendliness! Store setup, assortments and natural ingredients explained are authentic. Ah, must mention the beautiful aroma that welcomes you as you enter the store - fitting for Asheville and it’s Mountains!

Best soaps hands down. Theyre luxurious and make my skin feel brand new. Im so impressed with the customer service too. I ordered a few bars for my mother in law, for mothers day, and they stuck in two more and lip balm! It doesnt get much better than that.

The beard oil is great! Debbie was super friendly and her dog Miles was so sweet!

I found this place as I was in search of a new, natural body lotion. They have a signature lotion that consist of 6-8 different types of oils. Cant wait to use all of my growing belly. Victor was super nice and helpful! Got my husband a new shave soap disc, my dog a soap, the new baby an oatmeal soap, and myself an almond soap. We usually try to buy local soaps everywhere we travel but these are the BEST smelling soaps Ive ever smelled. Very fresh!!

The shop is easy to find and was staffed by a welcoming, knowledgeable person. Attentive and talked about the different scents.My biggest complaint is that every single soap is shrink wrapped in plastic. Perhaps that makes it easier for travelers and freshness. I think a business - especially one that prides itself on handmade, natural, organic products - should be more cognizant of the plastic waste they are creating. I bought a bar because I wanted to try it, but next time Ill buy soap from somewhere that uses less plastic.

My husband & I LOVE this shop! We live 2 hours away and whenever we are in town visiting, we always stop here to stock up! The soaps are incredible and the customer service is outstanding! We finally met the shop owner, Victor, today and we are so happy we can support this small business. We love the baby soap, puppy soap, charcoal soap, just to name a few. Super excited to try out their bath bombs as well.

I have to agree with the other posts in terms of Appalachian Naturals having amazing customer service. Today was our first time in Asheville and we had a very positive customer service experience. We also recieved helpful information on local hiking trails and things to do/see in the Asheville area. Their products are wonderful, made with high-quality ingredients! Well be recommending this store to family & friends, for sure!

I LOVE THIS COMPANY! I LOVE EVERY PRODUCT!! 1ST quality ingredients and truly the Appalachian Sunshine is a must have for anyone who cares about their skin. I have ditched all thoae extrememly expensive lotions and treatments for this one product. The Coffee facial and body scrub is out of this world.

I have shopped here for years. The owners Victor and Pam are amazing people and very knowledgable. I used their baby oatmeal soap on my grandson when he was in the NICU. The Sunshine, soaps, facial scrub and candles are wonderful. I have never purchased product I was not satisfied with.

This store is amazing! The experience was so great; the owner came out and gave us samples and very helpful information about the history, products and personal story. Not only are the soap and products so nourishing (get the sunshine body butter and caffeine scrub) but it goes to a great family and great fundraising causes (college students’ costs of living and individuals with cancer). These products are great for your skin AND conscience :) and they have an online shop!

This shop smells amazing, and the guy working there (the owner?) Was very nice and knowledgeable. Everything they sell is natural. They only use essential oils and raw materials. We bought some really good skin cream.

I bought some soap bars as a Christmas gift for my sister, and one bar for myself to try it out. Since then I bought three more bars because I liked it so much! Its completely replaced my gel body washes. Their scents are wonderful but mild, and the soap actually makes my skin feel softer. I feel much better about using it on my skin because its all-natural.

I love their luxurious & long-lasting products. Owners have incredible knowledge & use quality ingredients. And taking my guests to this shop is always a hit.

The guy working was really nice and knowledge about the ingredients in the soaps, and what theyre good for. There is a great variety of soaps, for many purposes. They also had pet soaps and shave soaps, and even just a giant soap ball. Pretty cool place, and the prices are reasonable too.

By far my best small business shop in Asheville. Victor the owner is so friendly, welcoming and loves to educate you on the soaps. If you go to Asheville must go! Needless to say coming home with lots of bars! 😃

This was a really cool shop! All of the soaps are all natural and Drew was extremely friendly and was super helpful and informative about everything in the store.

If you have not been to this place you need to go!! They make all their own soaps, shampoos, salt scrubs, etc., using essential oils and no yucky chemicals. We frequent this place so much we have gotten to know the family who owns and runs the store and they make us feel so welcome each time we visit. They are extremely knowledgable and I feel good buying from and supporting this local gem. My favorite thing so far is the sea salt scrub! Absolutely love this place:)

I liked this store. The owner gave me a sample of Sunshine and I loved it. But I was flying home and it was way too big so I said no. They convinced me to buy it anyway, saying it wouldnt be a problem, they even shrink wrapped it. Of course it was a problem and TSA confiscated it. So I watched as TSA essentially threw my money away. I called the store and told them they were wrong about it being allowed on the plane. They offered to send me a new one. And then never sent anything. It feels like I was swindled. Im upset and angry at the owners for treating customers so poorly.

Love their soaps and body butters. Perfect for my sensitive skin and chemical allergies!!

Great products, unfortunately they arent always open when they claim to be.

Everytime we go out to Asheville we are sure to go to this store and check out their products. They are high quality.
