So very happy For Villagers is in Burnsville! We are so lucky to have this wonderful store! Many great items for living an eco-friendly sustainable life, plus it is combined with the health food store. Kendra, the owner is a true gem
Kendra is very knowledgeable and lovely to chat with. I enjoyed walking around the store and looking at the locally made things.
The only one who greeted my daughter and I while we browsed around the store was the dog. All the other employees were quite aloof. We were there to shop local but there are other options. Retail is a tough business and some local hospitality will go a long way gals.
Amazing store. Villagers has an amazing collection of items. High quality. Gardening, essential oils, books, pottery, homesteading, kids books and gifts, classes, more than I can tell you-- but go. It is my #1 gift finding place. GO!
Potentially closing, BUT theyll be online! Really cool store the wife, daughter, and I really liked visiting. Thank you.
This store is amazing. What a gem! Loose herbs from Mountain Rose, containers and jars, garden supplies, fermentation equipment, skin care, books, knives, foraging tools, woodworking tools! Its like everything I want in one store. Plus an old claw foot bathtub filled with pillows next to a chalkboard so you can plop the kids down while you shop. Genius.
Even though they are in the process of changing owners and refilling stock this place is still very cool. I came to get some seeds and the seed packs have lovely artwork on them. They have tons of different sized jars and jugs which I havent been able to find anywhere else. I would love to see how this place looks when they are back to 100% again.
High quality tools, and a huge variety of seeds, books, and local products. It would be a wonderful store if I were treated well when I visited there. Ive given it multiple tries, as I get my hair cut at Bari Salon, just beside Villagers. However, Ive never been asked if I need help, and when I have asked the staff to help, Ive been pointed a direction as opposed to someone taking time to show me products/ options, and the shop was not busy. As a customer, this shop makes me feel as though I am an annoyance, rather than a valued patron.
Really neat place, mix of handmade items, like pottery and bags, and cool things for a natural home. Also great conversation and local recommendations!
I debated reviewing this store and decided to give a good review score. We went on a rainy gloomy day, and the place was so dark. For a second I thought there was no power. I dont want a brightly lit store, but at the very least some spot lighting on the merchandise would be appreciated. I like the but of offerings I was able to see and the idea behind this store. Felt very nice energy. Ill come back on a sunny day so I can better see whats in the store.
One of the charms of Asheville. A locally owned gardening shop filled with canning supplies and other vintage rugs, balms and salves and more. The staff is very knowledgeable and I buy my cactus here. Do not miss...
I love this place and feel right at home there. The staff is super friendly and helpful, and they always have what I need. They also host lots of fun and informative workshops.
Love this place, Japanese gardening tools, bulk soil amendments and small starter plants. Bottles and great book selection.
Was there yesterday for a canning class, this shop is amazing and has the cutest and most unique items for canning and gardening. You wont regret checking it out.
This place is awesome if you are trying to be more self sustainable or like to garden and ferment things. We buy the roots blend here and love it. Its been a great coffee substitute. They have a verity of starts here as well. Both anualls and perennials. There is, usually, a friendly shop dog here and a Kool kids play area in a bath tub.
Chill atmosphere with only high quality products. My kids love the chalkboard and old bathtub filled with pillows.
Unfortunately closing in February! Stop by soon for gardening, cookbooks and childrens books in addition to fabulous Wexler jars, apothecary jars, pottery, etc.
It felt like home. I wish I lived closer so I could visit more often.
Wonderful resource for the sustainable citizen. They have a little of everything you could possibly need.
Herbal medicine, farming tooks, seeds and supplies. Cool beyond words.
This is an amazing spot to find high quality Urban homesteading supplies
Cool shop for gardening and homesteading supplies. Staff are super helpful and nice.
Unique. Quality. Knowledgeable. Rustic. Real.
Awesome store for self reliance. Some things are expensive but high quality.
Nice selection for the house and garden.
Nice people, interesting stuff. Kind of expensive, but lots of unique items.
Excellent selection of garden tools, equipment, supplies, etc.
Eclectic selection of gardening stuff that the big box stores will never get, nor understand.
My personal little heaven for medicine making
Could spend all day there.
