I live about 40 miles from this place but I wouldnt go anywhere else for my lawnmower parts. This place is old school and run the way a specialty shop should be run. They have or get what you need and will share their expertise with you so you get your equipment up and running right the first time every time.

These guys are knowledgeable, helpful, and affordable! They have every single part in the world for every machine. I honestly don’t know how they survive but it’s one of those old school parts places where they just have boxes and boxes of stuff everywhere. You just know that if you have a problem, they can help you solve it.

Usually have the items I need in stock, or gets them quickly.

I mean they have the parts but.. they are cheaper on line by a good margin. And their cash only policy makes things difficult. I mean who carries cash anymore? So by time you get there are told cash only and sent to an ATM down the street and get back then they are closed for lunch, which instead of taking a rotating lunch they just close. If you get caught in this rotation can take several hours to buy a part with waiting. Is also hard to get them on the phone. I mean I guess this model works for them but they could have so much more business if they would modernize a bit. Accept other forms of payment and also not close up completely for lunch FOR AN HOUR. Leave lots people waiting. then when you get back from lunch there is a line. Can leave you trying to buy a part for several hours if you hit them a wrong time. Then belt I needed was 22 dollars ... I bought on line with a credit card for 6 with free shipping. Guess when you are only game in town you can run business how ever you feel.

Staff are very knowledgeable and helpful. They have just what I need all the time. Great prices. Highly recommend. Five stars.

This place is great they had everything we needed and the prices were incredible. Their knowledge is vast about many Briggs and Stratton and Kohler engine parts. I will be back!

I am very grateful. I called A-1 to make an appointment to have my lawnmower fuel system Cleaned. My grandson added 2/1 mixture to fuel tank. I expected inconvenience and a large bill.The rep told me they were a parts store. AND he told me how to take care of the issue myself.Thank You A-1.

Its small but what they lack in size, they more than make up for in knowledge of all small engine tools and parts.

No one answers the phones. Website says opens at 9:00 but every time I call no one answers then I have to go up there just to ask if they carry something. They need a better plan. Surprised they are in business

Friendly people, but they are always crowded, and a tiny place to stand.Cheapest small parts place in Asheville. But, you can buy parts cheaper on eBay. Be prepared for a long wait on Chinese on Taiwan parts.A-1 could stand some cleaning, they have parts/junk everywhere.You can TRY to call, but I doubt theyll answer the phone.They need to have someone there at lunch time, they both take an hour lunch.

I needed some parts for the weedeater to try and fix it myself. The owner told me exactly how to fix it with the parts. He saved me $80 if I took it to a repair shop. Great customer service!

Two guys working. one guy was helping us the other one was telling him he needed to stop helping us so he can wait on other people.Im a paying customer as well just because you had to take a few minutes to look for something doesnt mean that you should have bad customer service!

Nice guys, but didnt bother to order the part they told me to pick up the following Friday. If you have patience this place is ok for some parts.

PROS: Great people and very knowledgeable. Large selection and stock. CONS: Not much room for many customers at once. If something needs to be ordered its always at least a 2 week wait.

I called them 8 times over 2 days and they never answer the phone. Oh well someone else will surely take my money.

I havent done business with them yet, but were not off to a good start. If you look up A1 online, it clearly states that they are closed for lunch from 1-2. I arrived at 12:30, only to find the lights off and door locked. NOT happy after driving all the way from South Asheville on my lunch hour. Waste of time and gas because you cant believe their stated hours.
