This locally owned business has amazing frozen treats of all kinds! We enjoyed Sundaes, but there are all sorts of ice cream treats to choose from.We plan on going back one day to enjoy an old fashioned banana split.

It is obvious that the people of Athens LOVE this place. There is always a huge line of cars wrapped around the building.We decided to skip the line by parking and walking up to the window. The service was fast and the ice cream was a good value for the price. There were so many great options that it was hard to choose! We enjoyed a banana split.This place is perfect for a quick bite or a treat!

The peanut butter milkshake is delicious. A summertime bucket list item! My one complaint- why are there no kids sized milkshakes? Little ones want a treat too, but they don’t need a whole regular sized milkshake. Add smaller milkshake sizes to the menu for smaller people.

We had lunch here. Hot dogs grilled ham and cheese. Tater tots shakes and malts were really all good. Soft serve ice cream really good.

OMG! First time here on opening day for their season. I had a Banana Split. Wife had a hotdog and a Resees Hurricane.Definitely reccomend to bring your spouse or significant other for any occasion!Great food, reasonable prices. Made with locally sourced Mayfield dairy products.

As always, our visits to the Capital Of Athens, The Dairy Barn, is always a treat! Today was one of our Furbabies birthday and they love their Ice-cream as much as we love ours! The Dairy Barn has the BEST Ice-cream EVER !!!

This place never disappoints, whether youre ordering one of their many flavors of shakes, hurricanes, sundaes, or youre just wanting a ice cream cone or a slushie, theres nowhere better. Yes, theres usually a line. Yes, theyre closed on Mondays. Yes, they are only open during the summer. Let me tell you, its worth it. The price is great, the ice cream is refreshing, and the staff are nice and helpful. This is how ice cream shops are supposed to be.

Great experience! First visited this place when I was in college...30 years ago. Went back with my husband today, and it did not disappoint. Great service--so friendly! Food is yummy, and, of course, dessert was outstanding! Loved the tables outside and clean bathrooms, too.

We were visiting in Athens TN and saw the Dairy Barn and thought we would have some ice cream after having lunch and a visit with part of our family at the regional park to observe social distance.We arrived at the Dairy Barn to find the line starting on the roadway. We thought that if the place was popular, it must be good. We were right, it was good.We found all of the outside seating, the walk up ordering, and the restrooms to be closed off for safety. Drive through only was available.The menu was extensive and I ordered a hot fudge sundae and my wife ordered a root beer float. Both were very good, however my wife commented that she would of liked more root beer and less ice cream.The price was very reasonable and service was quick over all.I will go again when in the area.

Im from out of town and saw the Dairy Barn while driving in for a ball tournament. I checked the website and they stated dairy-free options. I was looking to an ice cream treat only to pull up and find that their version of dairy-free optionswas sherbert. 🤦🏻‍♀️ There are many dairy-free ice creams available that are not made with cows milk. When you advertise dairy-free options, people believe they can get ice cream made with alternative milk, not sherbet. 😊

Milk shakes took longer than expected and I was treated like I had the virus. Very uncomfortable when someone moves you with a disinfectant and rag to wipe off where I stood.

Cheap prices compared to basking robins or cold stone. I got a banana split for $4 and some change and it was great!
