I love coming to this place to get breakfast. Service is always fast and the food is great!I’ve tried all the eggies sandwiches, but the only one I didnt like was the vegan one. It seemed more like a chik’n sandwhich instead of a breakfast one:( Everything else here is really good though.You cant go wrong with Eggies!!
Person at the register has no personality nor good customer service skills. It took nearly 25 minutes to get our small order and we were the only ones there. Don’t get their coffee it’s bad! We ended up tossing our coffee. It’s also not vegetarian friendly.
My first time here & it was DELICIOUSIncredibly filling & the overall aesthetic is so cute. I love the jars, I got both the hash & the French toast & it was soo tasty! Drove about 20 minutes to get back to my house & it was all still hot & the What Came First? Sandwich was still crispy!The worker there was welcoming & friendly, will definitely be going back to try their other sandwiches!French toast jar: the granola on top was delicious & the strawberries seemed fresh & were nicely cut.Potato Hash jar: so delicious, beautifully cooked bacon.What Came First sandwich: super crispy fried chicken, perfectly tangy pickles. The eggscelent sauce is the perfect spiciness.BLT: the bottom bun was soggy (but as I said I drove home first) but of course it had tomatoes so if makes sense. Really, really tasty, the sausage patty was super flavorful!Ill add more to this review if I try more 😋
Fantastic place. Fast service and all the breakfast options are great. Excellent coffee and service. Its a great place if you dont want to wait 1.5 hours in line to get a table next door

Went to Eggies for the first time today and wow was their classic sando and the potato hash absolutely incredible! So nice to order ahead, pick it up and eat it warm at home instead of waiting in the long Breakfast Republic line (same owners). Highly, Highly recommend this place! Great addition to the East Village!
A nice breakfast sandwich shop I stopped in here while visiting San Diego for my birthday not only was the food good but the people were very nice! Would definitely recommend to anyone in the area!I had the “what came first” with a mimosa and it was absolutely delicious I will definitely be back next time I’m visiting the area but please go check these guys out!
I give this place 2 stars only because the food is really good, but this is the second time where my husband and I have ordered two California’s and instead we get almost any sandwich other than it. It’s super disappointing because when we go to this place in person we can get the correct order, but if we ever order through DoorDash, it’s a disaster and it’s not DoorDash’s fault. They picked up the correct order and even the receipt said California, but we opened it and it was two originals. So in a way we feel scammed since the California is $1.50 more each and has great toppings. I’m hoping the experience will be better once they open up the new one in Mission Valley.
The sandwich isn’t bad, over priced like most places in DT San Diego. The online service is absolutely terrible.
You dont have to wait for Breakfast Republic, this place is good. Ive only had the classic but it was amazing. My wife had the California and also enjoyed it. Cool little spot and great, friendly service.
Delicious breakfast sandwiches that always hit the spot. Usually a 10-15 minute wait but is definitely worth it if you have the time. My go-to is their classic, but the chicken is also a favorite

Skip downtown location. Individual waiting the counter was as friendly and efficient as a wet blanket. Unable to comment on quality of food as it sat on the counter for 5 minutes until the cook came out and yelled at fellow employee. Need quick friendly breakfeast to go. Visit Luckys lunch counter.
Great breakfast food. Tastes super fresh and their homemade juice and sauce are super good.A little on the pricey side, though. Spent over $70 on 3 sandwiches, four juices, and a coffee.
Theyll happily leave you standing around making you wait for your food while its sitting behind the counter.

If you love breakfast sandwiches but dont eat meat, pass on this place. Their main classic sandwich is with 1 egg with bacon and sausage. I ordered it without meat and the price was still the same (almost $10!) and it was mostly bread. They didnt offer to add an extra egg or to reduce their price. The taste was good but, come on, really? I ended up eating 1/3 of sandwich (and egg was gone) and frying my own eggs later to add to it. No bueno!
I stopped here with a friend for a quick and delicious breakfast after seeing them on Instagram. We loved their marketing so thought wed give it a try. The staff was very friendly and the sandwiches were awesome! We got the Eggies Classic and the California, of course we needed to add in a jar of the potato hash which was my favorite! I cant wait to go back and try all the different sandwiches they have!!
Ordered the California sandwich for takeout and it was amazing! The bun is really good. This isnt like a small breakfast sandwich youd pick up along with your coffee order. This is a real satisfying kind of breakfast sandwich and very filling.
They where really rude when we walked in and when our food was ready the girl just looked at it and never brought it to us just let it sit there for 10 minutes until we got up to leave and then the guy came and brought it to us.
The “What came first” sandwich was the most delicious fried chicken sandwich I’ve ever had! Only downside is that the egg yolk flowing out can get messy. Make sure to have napkins!

This place is delicious, i ordered the What Came First sandwich. It was filled with chicken to the point where it was intimidating to take my first bite. The chicken is moist and flavorful, and the eggs run at the perfect amount. I also got a nitro brew coffee which was also delicious. Only complaint is about the orange juice. Even though it was delicious as can be, it comes in a tiny 9 ounce cup, and costs 4.00 dollars! You should give orange juice in the same 14 oz cup you gave the coffee in. Overall i am very happy with the food and I WILL be happily returning!

Pros: Quick walk up breakfast spot with fair prices and delicious options for a quick breakfast. Food tasted spot on!Cons: OJ wasnt worth the buy due to the size of the cup is about a double shot glass.

Yum! I ordered the Californian breakfast sammy. The bacon jam is delicious! Very filling sandwich. Id call it a breakfast burger. Also nice that they offer to go mimosas and bloody Marys. I will definitely be coming back. Thanks guys!
