This is the shop to go to for quality instruments and quality care. I bought a collings om2h sunburst from them and they always take care of my baby whenever I need a setup. You know that if you leave your instrument w them, you can have peace of mind.Right now due to covid, they’re about 2 weeks out in setups and repairs, so keep that in mind. Also, their showroom is only open by appointment, so give them a call and they can help you out.All the guys are passionate and knowledgeable about everything!

I think the 5***** is not enough to rate the Maple Street Guitars !We purchased a 30Year old Japanese made YAMAHA guitar from Chris .He did whatever we asked him to do as far as checking the guitar for any Tear&Wear, Flaws, etc .When it was delivered, the first thing we were impressed with, was the way it was packed ! So solid and clean .This guitar and its case were unbelievably like new .... just like a brand new purchase !Their pricing is unbeatable, but most importantly, theyre very nice people .Super satisfied with this place .

Buying an acoustic at Maple Street Guitars is a first class experience. I spent quite some time auditioning many guitars looking for one that was equal to or better than my favorite, a Lowden. A number of people helped me throughout the day without any pressure at all. Questions were answered to my satisfaction and because of their broad inventory I found a terrific Goodall. George set it up perfectly to my uncommon specifications. They went beyond what any other store ever has. Everyone was extremely helpful. Every aspect was thoroughly enjoyable and I look forward to doing business with them again.

I wish I could give 10 stars! This is the type of old school music store that is actually run by people who love music...in this case family of them! They welcome you and treat you with the same respect whether buying a Martin pick or a Martin guitar. They love to talk music, and I do too, so I had to drag myself out of there before I made an investment in a new guitar....but i will be back soon to do just that, and they will be my go to store whenever Im in the area

We are blessed to have this family-owned guitar store in Atlanta. Friendly and knowledgeable staff dedicated to helping folks make music. Large selection of acoustic and electric guitars, ranging from those appropriate for beginners to the finest instruments made. Maple Street does a (first-class) set up on every guitar they sell, no matter the price, and they guarantee the set up for a full year. The repair shop is outstanding - Im always happy with their work. Let me give you an example of how caring and helpful the folks here can be: I was having issues with pain and numbness in my left hand and wrist and walked in to just browse and hang out one day, and the owner, George, and his son, Lindsay, noticed the brace on my wrist (I had one that allowed me to still play with it on, but with pain). George took me to one of their practice rooms and spent 45 minutes walking me through hand positioning and the ergonomics of playing, and suggested several things I could do to lessen the problems I was experiencing. It turned out I needed surgery, but following through on Georges recommendations I was able to continue playing until then (fully recovered now) . Thats how these folks are - supremely talented musicians who want to help other musicians make music. George, Claire, Lindsay and the staff - the best!

Friendly staff who take their time with you without being pushy or hovering. Didn’t expect to buy an instrument but fell in love with a guitar. I was very excited to check this store out based on the reviews online. I drove over an hour to browse the store to see what they had in stock. Unfortunately, I did not find the staff to be friendly. While walking around, I had not be spoken to. I passed three workers who were talking behind the front desk who just looked at me while browsing. When I went into their electric guitar room, one staff member quickly followed but not to help. The man just looked at things on the wall and shelves next to me without saying a word. This threw me off, he was clearly just watching me. I went back to the other room where he very soon followed. Why was this man following me around so closely? I then paused and looked at him as he was pretending to browse on this side of the store now. He was peeping up to look at me over here as well. There were many other customers in the store. Yet I seemed to have been singled out. Not to be helped but to be monitored for suspicious activity. I’ve worked in retail before and it was obvious. This place made me incredibly uncomfortable and upset. I will not be returning and I feel they would be pleased for whatever reason.

I did my research on the ukulele I wanted to buy and I found that Maple Street has the one that I wanted. Also I contacted the store via email to ask whether the instrument that I wanted was still available. Chris replied promptly. I also was lucky that my travel plan allowed me to visit Atlanta and the store. After I finished my business, I went to the store. Dont let the front fool you -- open the door to see it yourself. There are hundreds of guitars nicely displayed and some other string instruments hanging from the ceiling. When I walked in, the salesperson was helping another customer so I just walked around the store to see what they had to offer. After a few mins, I was greeted by Lindsay and I told him what I was looking for. He grabbed me the ukulele I had my eye on. He then let me play with the instrument and walked away. He strummed a few chords and looked at the instrument without any interruption, which I really appreciated. Then he came back and asked me to try other sizes to compare the sound and the feel for the instruments. As Lindsay and I were talking about the instruments, he also found out that I came to visit ALT so he offered to provide some other recommendations for things to do and see around town. Also he told me that the store can ship the instruments by mail if I chose to not take the instrument with me.When I checked out the instrument, Chris came out to help and I had the opportunity to meet Chris, who responded to my email, in person. We shook hands and exchanged a few pleasantries. He also helped check the instrument before it left the store. The salesperson, whom I forgot the name (sorry), helped me with the receipt and packaging.Overall, I was happy to deal business with the Maple Street Guitars.

I don’t remember everyone’s name, but Jake does all of my repair work; he is an incredible tech and a wonderful guy to chat with. I once brought a signature guitar (PRS Mark Holcomb SE) he had just worked on to Mark Holcomb when I met him at a meet and greet, and he stated that it was the best playing of all his signature guitars he’d played, and spent about 5-10 minutes noodling around on it. Lindsey is also fantastic to work with and helped me when I purchased a new acoustic from them. I had heard of Maple Street Guitars before, but I had never been there before today. I will without question be going back soon. I went there to see about selling my Blue Ridge BR-70, the first steel string guitar I bought when I started teaching myself 15 years ago. I had traded all of my other dreadnoughts in and purchased smaller body guitars, and it was time to let this one go. I had done some customization to it, and Id been told that Maple Street Guitars was the place to go to sell it, since they are a specialty, boutique type of store with unique instruments. That proved to be truly excellent advice.Ive got a professional day job, but Ive been a musician my entire life. From the moment one walks in, Maple Street has a singularly different feel. It seems almost like going to a friends house, or perhaps a friends music studio. The staff is very friendly, and they really make you feel at home. The selection of guitars is remarkable, and one could get lost for hours just looking at, let alone playing, the remarkable works of musical art there; all competely free of the slightest sales pressure that one sometimes finds in some chain music stores. On top of that, if you have a unique instrument to sell, this is absolutely the place to sell it. I had a price in mind for my Blue Ridge, but I wasnt sure I could actually get that price; and I dont think I would have gotten it at any other store. But to my astonishment, after looking closely at it and looking up comparable guitars, Lindsey - the one to talk to about selling your guitar - offered me exactly what I was hoping to get. They are not bound by the rules one encounters in chain stores, and Leslie is free to evaluate each guitar as the unique instrument that it is.Of course, if you want full price, try to sell your guitar yourself. But if you are willing to allow a discount to the store that will have to take up their space and time selling it so that you dont have to, take it to Maple Street Guitars. After the sale, I hung around talking to the staff and other customers. Their friendly atmosphere invites that. This is a unique store that sells unique guitars in a friendly and pressure free atmosphere. I will definitely be back when I am looking to buy or trade for another guitar.
