From the moment I walked in I was greeted with a friendly hello. Danielle was very helpful & knowledgeable & was able to answer all my questions. My only complaint was that I was promised a call when my photos came in but I never got one. I just called a few hours after noon & was told they were in. All in all it was a good experience though.

This is a great place to shop should you need anything dealing with cameras and a bonus is they have the absolute best equipment to edit your photos in store and print them to any size you like. Personnel are the attraction that I enjoy the most and they cater to those that are beginning photography to the professional crowd with lenses galore.

Very helpful staff. Willing to work with you even if you dont know exactly what youre looking for. Only lost one star due to limited selection at this particular location. Some things I just need to see before I buy. However, dont let that stop you from going here. I will be going back for future purchases without a doubt.

Great selection of all major camera brands lenses and accessories. The sales staff is knowlegable on the products they sell. Its the only place I go to for professional level prints.

The staff was so amazing and helpful . Danielle went out of her way to explain things to me and help me find the correct equipment. The store didnt have what I needed but she called ahead to their downtown location to reserve it for me . We are from out of town and they were still very accommodating and helpful. Wish I had more stars to give them!

My experience here has always been fantastic. These guys always care for us when we come in and make us feel like they really want us to succeed. The staff is experienced, kind, and has gone above and beyond on every occasion that Ive been here, especially the manager Deb, who has looked out for me and helped me make choices that have helped me succeed in every shoot. I definitely recommend getting pictures printed here. They are such good quality and the staff is so nice & helpful. The only thing is they dont print the pictures in order. But that doesnt matter to much to me. :P

Professional, courteous, knowledgeable staff including John on weekends and Mike and Deb during the week. Look on line, but buy in the store where you can touch and see the photographic equipment and talk to the local experts. That is worth $$ in satisfaction with the product purchased.

Went there to print out pictures. Theyre more pricey than others but the staff is out of this world and she was able to retrieve all my photos when other places couldnt find them. I love Dodds.

I bought a used Vivitar 283 flash and got a great deal! It was in prime new condition. Very helpful staff! I couldnt be more satisfied.

Over the years, I have received average service from the employees at this store. When it comes to the demeanor of the employees, many of them come off as arrogant and overly aggressive with their recommendations (they are commission sales). Although I think they have good product knowledge, I have never quite felt comfortable when in the store.

Went to get a photo printed off of my phone. Woman was helpful and looked like it would all be good. Came back later to pick up print and gave it a quick glance at check out; OK. When I got home I realized it was much darker than the image on my phone. Went back next day and the guy told me they could do nothing. Explained something about the difference between light sources (reflected light vs projected light or something like that). He said nothing could be done to get the image off of my phone to look just like it, lighting wise. Guess what, I went to CVS and printed it myself and it looks EXACTLY like the photo on my phone!!! The lighting in this photo really mattered to me.

If you aren’t a professional, this place doesn’t want your business. I bought a DSLR from the Westlake location about 10 years ago. At the time the salesman was helpful and I felt I got a good deal on the camera bundle I purchased. Based on that experience, I brought my dad to the Avon location because he was interested in purchasing a newer DSLR. He’s an amateur/hobby photographer and had used film SLRs in the past. The salesman seemed to have no interest in trying to help him find a camera. After a short conversation, my dad left dejected -feeling that unless he was willing to spend 2k on a lens in addition to a camera he might as well forget about it. I was angry at the way he was treated and embarrassed that I had brought him here.
