I had an extremely hard time finding finding a mechanic to work on my 98 Honda, most shops wouldnt even touch it, but luckily for me Doug at Achilles Motor Works agreed to work on the bike no questions asked. Extremely professional, friendly, and affordable. The best part is, you can tell Doug actually enjoys working on motorcycles. A motorcycle guy that goes the extra mile! Even with quads! My first good experience with a mechanic. Where to start. Call wise. The guys best reached through text because hes busy getting your work done asap. I text him and he responded to me at all hours of the day even late and answered all my questions regardless of how dull. He sends audio messages which really get the details clear. I brought it in just wanting a decent clean. This man had it cleaned to a shine inside and out the same day with pics and videos explaining what was going on. He didnt just fix what I needed. He took the time to talk to me about the things he noticed as he went and never pressured me for anything else. Hes super clean and cut. You tell him what you want and he gets it done. Hes extremely friendly and quick. The prices are not only dead nuts fair. The quality is bar none. He will be the only shop Ill save in my contacts. Thank you so much!! Look at the pics! Update:Well this is the second review with Doug with the second electrical problem fuel pump. and a tire change Doug truly cares about his clients and their motorcycles. I’ve never seen a mechanic like that thank you Doug. Quality work for fair prices.Doug is amazing. He found all electrical issue some clown did that own the bike before. He had down brake and much more. I have to say best guy to ever do business with my motorcycles. Very fair price high quality of labor.Doug was very professional and fair. He also is a real nice guy to talk too. I would recommend Doug to the pope if he rode.

Doug is an absolute pro. Quick work, fair pricing, and a level of constant communication that I can appreciate very much. He towed my bike, replaced both tires and tubes, inspected it, and did my oil and brake fluid all in the same day. Great service at a great price! Doug installed new grips, new cams, and new pushrods on my 01 FXDWG during my last visit. Not many mechanics will send you pictures of their progress along the way. Highly recommend!

Found out about Doug and his business through his google reviews and need to pass it on. I called him to get a quote on a motorcycle inspection as well as address a couple minor issues and maintenance needs for a bike I had just bought off of craigslist. Doug really went above and beyond taking care of my bike and was really patient with explaining any issues he found and the communication could not have been better. What else to say? His rates are beyond fair, hes an overall pleasant guy yo be around, and he really seems to know his stuff. Definitely going back!

I couldnt start my bike one morning, so I called Doug. He is very knowledgeable, and worked with me over the phone to troubleshoot. He later came by and towed my bike so he could work on it. That same night, it was ready to ride. If youre having bike trouble, I could not recommend him more highly.

Actually never made it to the shop cause Doug talked me through my problem over the phone......You never know what your gonna get with some of these folks and I was pleasantly surprised with the great conversation and the time he took to help me out.

I would definitely recommend Achilles Motor Works to everybody, after having my bike sit for 2 years and couldn’t get it to start. I gave him a call he came and picked up the bike right away and was very nice on guiding Me thru the process. he is very professional and knows what he is doing. Also recommend me to change my tires due to being a little past on date posted on tires. took my bike in on Thursday and got it back next day running like a Champ at a very reasonable price. Thanks

Was recommended by those in my motorcycle group which whom I respect highly. I am a newer rider ( just got my license in may of 2019 and purchased my first bike used). I know little of the mechanics of a motorcycle but am trying to learn here and there. After my motorcycle was barely running I called Achilles Motor Works and he showed up at my house and towed my bike to his shop to begin repairs I just got it back and could immediately tell the difference when picking it up as I pulled away from the curb on my way home. I must say I am more than happy with his work and would hands down recommend to anyone I know having issues with their bike. I have a 2000 Indian Chief needed a front tire oil change and the front brake needed work called and spoke with Doug at Achilles Motor Works he said no problem drop it off Sunday evening got it back Tuesday my front brake works better than when it was new!! Great job thanks Doug..

Doug knows his bikes, I spent a lot of money on my R1 and it was worth every penny, if you want an honest mechanic who’s gonna treat your bike like his very own, contact him. Had a great experiance with Doug from Achilles. My bike wouldnt start one moring after work, called Doug, at 4 am, he returned my call promptly, and was one site to tow my bike within the hour. He gave me a ride home, and the very next day called to inform me that my bike was fixed! He sent me 3 narrated videos explaining what he was looking for, what he checked, and what he found. He explained everything very clearly. I was very impressed! Doug didnt overcharge me. And didnt try to charge for work that wasnt needed, or he didnt do. Turns out it was a very simple fix, a loose battery cable, and a blown fuse. I would highly recommend Doug, At Achilles, to any bike rider! Gotta have his number in your phone just in case, he can tow and repair your bike. A true one stop, with honesty, and integrity! Thanks Doug!
