I have been using Hondoworks to repair my Honda cars for at least 20 years. He has always done quality work at a good price. He doesn’t try to sell or push you to buy things that you don’t need. He is friendly and honest. I highly recommend this shop.

I take my Toyota Tacoma here for repairs! Arnold is a great mechanic and really knows and specializes in foreign makes such as Toyota, Honda, Nissan, etc. This is a really great shop to take your vehicle to for repairs and maintenance, especially a foreign make! I almost always get mine back in a day. My parents bring their 2016 Toyota Camry here too and they always receive great service as well!

I have taken my cars to Hondoworks in Balch Springs for over 20 years. Arnold is sharp, reasonable, and honest. Recently my Outback required a repair with an estimate of $430 (the dealership’s estimate was $730). Arnold agreed with me that my car had too low of mileage to have such an expensive repair need. He encouraged me to contact Subaru even though my car was 10,000 miles past warranty. I contacted Subaru and they comped the dealership for a “one-time, good will” repair. Arnold forfeited a $430 repair. He knows his stuff and is as honest as the day is long. One time, my car wouldn’t start at DFW airport. I paid extra to have it towed all the way to Hondoworks because I knew I could trust and depend on them.

Ive been meaning to comment on Hondoworks for some time now, but kept forgetting. Ive been using Hondoworks for like 8 years or so with 3 different cars. They came highly recommended by a mechanic friend of mine who works on American made cars and so he recommended me here since they do Japanese cars. I feel Arnold has always been honest and given me fair prices. When I have something wrong with my car that goes beyond most simple maintenance items, I go straight to Hondoworks. I always feel very confident theyll do their best to get my car running correctly at an honest and competitive price. A big thanks to Arnold and all his mechanics!!!

Recently HondoWorks has working on my 2007 Pilot and a 2003 Tundra. I cannot express enough the appreciation for the work done our vehicles. Both repair jobs very fairly priced, much lower than other estimates, and on time. It is also appreciated when things are found and Arnold is fair enough to point out what needs immediate attention and what can wait so that I can save up the money and not use credit. We will go to Arnold for future needs.

I chose Hondoworks (although it was 30 miles away) because of the reviews of Arnold and his team. It is obvious he has a customer base consisting of people that have used him for years. This speaks volumes. I was not disappointed. He and I went for a test drive and he determined my problem was wheel bearings. He repaired timely and at a very reasonable cost. I have known Arnold since we were kids. I have used him as my mechanic for several years. He runs an excellent automotive repair business the right way, with technical know how, fair prices, honesty, and integrity. He always looks out for your best interests. He has told me when to fix the car and when to bail on it and not spend any more money. I refer everyone I know to him. The only thing I dont like is that he is not closer to where I live. A little inconvenience of a further drive is well worth the service I receive.

Im a relatively new customer here but am so because of a referral from a longtime client. There are few things that I can say except this shop, under the ownership of Arnold, keep earning my trust.

One star only because zero isnt an option. 350.00 to change an alternator. This normally runs me slightly above 200.00. And could you guys at least sound half professional when answering the phone. Also my center console was open and I was missing a whole pack of cigarettes I accidentally left in there. I will never use these people again. I will make sure to tow my car to a more fairer mechanic next time. These people are a rip off.

I took my 2012 Crosstour in for a couple of issues. The owner Arnold was very nice he even went on a test drive so I could show him what I believed were the problems. He was very honest and straight forward addressing all my concerns. What we thought was oil issue ended up being a timing belt issue. Arnold had the best customer service and without a doubt I know my car is much safer now then it was a week ago. I would take it to him again over the dealership no question. His respect and courtesy for his customers shows within the first 5 min of meeting him. I would definitely go back or recommend him if another issue came up.

Arnold is absolutely amazing! Over the last 20 years, I have thrown a lot of messed up cars at him and every single time he has had it right the first time. I am somewhat mechanically inclined, but no master mechanic. Every time I have been stuck or had a job that was to much for me to handle, he knocks it right out. One thing I respect more than anything is an honest person. I can say, with absolutely no hesitation, that Arnold is by far one of the most honest and down to earth people I have ever done business with. I HIGHLY recommend stopping by to see him, or at least picking up the phone and at least call him. It could be a couple of minutes very well invested!

No really convince, I take my element spend $660 in repairs I explained to mr Arnold why I need to have done keep the car one day I pick up my element drove it home before I get to my house check engine light come back on I take it back cuz is one year warranty droop it off early morning he call and said the o2 sensor was bad thats why the engine light and they change the one on front but now the one in the back is bad.. And thats so weird because I have I brand new installed just 3 days before I take it to Hondoworks ???? So he change a 02 sensor that I dont need charge me $225 for it ??? I dont get it ($56 sensor) all he fix was a 3rd gear pressure switch, warranty dont really work I recommend if you thinking about going here better go to a Honda dealer you will paid the same money with a real warranty.... Live and learn

Arnold is the only reason my car has 250,000 miles on it. I should have had to sell or junk my old Lexus years ago. With Arnolds knowledge and care, I plan to drive my car another 250,000 miles.

About 3 years ago, I was having issues with my car. I went to four different Automotive repair places to discuss the issue, and all of them were quick to jump to the most expensive solution probably because I was a female and they thought that they could take advantage of me. Fortunately I knew enough about vehicles to know that there were a half a dozen other things that could have been causing the same issue and didnt waste over $1,000 unnecessary repairs.Then I saw Arnolds shop on Google and thought I would give him a try. His first instinct was lets try the simplest solution first. $75 later my car was running perfectly.Arnold knows that I count on my vehicle for work, and he goes above and beyond to make that happen for me. Im really grateful to him and his team for everything they do for me.

I have a 2003 Honda pilot. Check engine light and VTM-4 light on for two years. Took my Pilot to the HONDA DEALERSHIP. They reccommended : New spark plugs and wires and replace the VTM-4 brain. $2000.00. I replaced the the plugs and wires with Honda certified parts. Still no luck. After much searching and You Tubing.....no luck. Finally my sister spotted Hondoworks in Balch Springs TX. They replaced the EG valve and clean it out. WHAT A SUCCESS! My vehicle drives great! Better gas mileage, and NO check engine light and NO VTM-4 light. I reccomment this mechanic highly. Its been a two year headache for me, and so glad I found them.
