I am so bad at doing reviews right away but I cannot begin to rave about our experience here at the alpaca farm. First of all, Linda was amazing. She made my son’s 12th birthday so special giving us real quality time with each of the alpacas and other animals. She was so thorough with teaching us about their fur, personalities, and facts about them. Her farm is the cutest! I especially loved the turkeys, they are hilarious! We loved every minute of it and truly would love to return! Thank you Linda! You made my son’s birthday!

Great place to take your kids for an afternoon of fun. The farm is very clean, a ton of space to run around. The alpacas are so cute, my kids absolutely loved them. The owner is so knowledgeable and kind, I totally recommend this place for kids and adults as well.

Loved this experience! Great for our two year old. We were able to see and interact with a plethora of animals including alpaca, a lama, lambs, goats, horses, donkeys, a mini horse, pigs, rabbits, ducks, turkeys, dogs, and a two week old alpaca! Our hosts were very welcoming and went above and beyond introducing us to their wonderful animals. Highly recommend.

A friend and I visited this farm for their annual Farm Days. We enjoyed petting and feeling the animals. Although many of the visitors were there to enjoy the alpacas, the donkey and Shetland pony stole the show for us. They were so relaxed that the donkey enjoyed a good lovefest and once the pony heard wind of it (it saw how happy the donkey was) it came over for some love too!Another perk was that the shoppe had several local vendors including a honey vendor who was so knowledgeable about the product she was selling that I had to buy some of it and it tasted great!

Wonderful place to see alpacas and to get socks clothing and knittings whoever complained about the prices has no common sense the workmanship the detail and the time that it takes to make plus saving the alpacas in a safe sanctuary makes it all worthwhile

I was inquiring about the Alpaca yoga if I have to buy a ticket for my three year old and it was ignored. The next day still no answer and the date was getting near so I had to comment on their page about it and I got a response saying that she dont think the class is suitable for my son. He had been into dance and other activities already and I dont understand why is this one so different. Its a shame that theyre doing exclusions when its suppose to be fun and family friendly. I will make sure to let all my family and friends my experience. Horrible.

This is a working alpaca farm, as well as a sanctuary for old and/or abandoned farm animals. There are ducks, goats, donkeys, horses, and even a pig living amongst the alpacas. I love visiting this farm, because the alpacas are very friendly, compared to “regular” farm animals. It’s clear that they get a lot of human attention.I saw an earlier review that mentioned that the farm was “dirty;” but I’m thinking that person has never worked on an actual farm before. The animals there are very well cared for- but they are farm animals, and not pets. They are all clean and well-fed, with a large pasture area and a barn to sleep in. Additionally, it’s true that some of the rescue farm animals (not the alpacas) are very old and have health issues: But that is why they are there. Those animals get the care that they need so that they can live out the remainder of their lives in peace. I think it’s wonderful that the farm is a sanctuary for these otherwise forgotten animals.Lastly, I love shopping in their little store! So many nice alpaca-related products! My favorites are the socks and the alpaca-wool covered soap: They are go-to Christmas gifts for me.

My friend and I visited over the weekend. They did a nice job with social distancing, limiting the amount a visitors via reservation only.I enjoyed meeting their donkey and horses in addition to the alpacas. The local honey I purchased is wonderful.I hope to see pictures of piglets soon on the website-- the sow looked quite pregnant. We would both love to visit again soon and see her again.

Linda and her husband were extremely warm and friendly. They were very eager to give brief history of the farm and happily answered all the questions we had while walking us around. The farm is well maintained and they have about 45 Alpacas, a Sicilian donkey, a miniature horse, two farm horses, and also an adorable Colorado mountain dog, Titu.

What a sad experience. I went out to spend time with animals, but the place was very dirty and the old horse Sam looks emaciated, his teeth were black and he had difficulty eating, and his feet totally overgrown. At least 4 people voiced concerns to the owners. When I asked the owners what is going on with that horse, one said their vet retired, the other said the vet had just been out. Which one is it? There was a bag of rotten carrots on the ground that the goats tried to eat. The list goes on. And the alpacas, well it seems that they’re just trying to make money off the fleece and “renting”them out. More humans exploiting animals...how sad.

This place is absolutely fantastic. My boyfriend and I had so much fun meeting the alpacas and other farm animals. We got to pet them (especially Stromboli who was the cuddliest of all!), feed them and shop in the shoppe too. Linda and Kevin were wonderful tour guides. They were super friendly and very informative. It felt relaxed and casual, like we were just visiting some old friends with an alpaca farm. Thank you for the best experience! We will return!

I can not say enough good about Safe House Farm Alpacas. We called Linda about renting a couple of Alpacas. Linda brought 2 beautiful, friendly Alpacas to us. She was professional, prompt, kind, and went above and beyond and even put bows in their hair for us. The animals are very obviously lovingly cared for. I would highly recommend Linda and SafeHouse to anyone who has an interest in Alpacas.

We learned so much about the alpacas and even got to feed them for a good while. My mother -in-law was in heaven. We had such a wonderful time - thank you so much!Protip: Be sure to pay attention to the direction park in front of the barn, by the gate. Its just west of the house!
