Berte is just an absolute dream of a shop. I always feel welcome and comfortable shopping around. Aimee is super kind and has incredible taste. The shop requires masking and sanitizing at the front of the store, with a limit to the amount of people in at a time. Shes constantly rearranging and adding new inventory to the storefront. Weve bought...every gift.... for friends and loved ones from Berte since her brick and mortar opened. So happy to have Berte in Beacon!

My boyfriend and I spent the valentines/presidents day holiday weekend up in Beacon, and Berte was my absolute favorite store. Ive worked in curation and merchandising in NY, and its honestly one of my biggest joys to see a well curated/designed retail space these days! Aimee was so sweet as I fangirled over each item in her store patiently explaining how unique pieces like the mugs were sourced. I was so delighted to make a great purchase and addition to my Gestalten collection too :) Cant wait to visit again sometime soon and continue to support/shop from afar online!

Berte is one of my very favorite boutiques. There is a storefront in NY which I hope to visit one day, but the website will have to do for now!! I’ve found so many sweet gifts and home items for loved ones (but mostly myself). I’m pretty sure I could shop with my eyes closed, and be happy with any random selection. The owner clearly puts a lot of thought and love into her selections, and has found a perfect balance between familiar brands and new. Everything I’ve chosen from Berte becomes my new favorite. A shop that truly embodies quality over quantity - in a fun way!

I had been eagerly waiting for this shop to open last summer and when it did, WOW I was blown away! Berte hits all the right notes, the Edit 💯, the ambiance, and of course Aimee (the owner) :) The best part is how often the product offerings change. As a Beacon local, I always have something to look forward to whenever I visit the shop. My hubby loves it too. There’s something for everyone, especially those with exquisite taste! Most recent fave purchase was the Big Sur candle by Norden (on the more $$ side but totally worth it)... the scent smells exactly how it does when not burned and quickly transports you (and your entire living space!) to that special place where the salty ocean meets the redwoods with a splash of something oh so sweet. Heaven. It was a present for the Mr. and he loved it 🥰

I havent visited the shop in-person as I live in California, so all my purchases have been from the online shop. I visit the online shop quite often for a number of reasons: 1. They truly have unique products. There are SO many boutique shops like this, but Ive found throughout the years that many of them carry the same products. Berte is unique in that they source products I havent even seen elsewhere. 2. Wonderful connection to the owner- Aimee takes extra care to write notes, respond to DMs about products, and goes the extra mile, which is so appreciated. 3. Theres a decent range of prices, which is good. So honestly, theres something for everyone.I cant wait to visit the shop in-person someday!

I absolutely adore Berte and its beautiful collection of goods. Shop-owner Aimee is also so wonderfully kind and genuine and I love living so close to this beautiful place. I found Berte at a craft fair two years ago and was delighted to watch her business grow to a brick and mortar shop. Shops like this are the heart of our small towns and I always try to support them near and far. As a far away customer her emails are always beautifully crafted. I hope to be able to also visit in person in the not so distant future!

A great addition to Main Street! I thought it might be just another home goods shop, but it stands apart for the thoughtful, quirky, and lovingly-selected array of beautiful and practical things. Itll definitely be my first stop when I need gifts!

Berte is easily the cutest shop in Beacon. I initially walked right by the shop before it opened and was so enchanted by the window display that I made a point of going back. I got some self care goodies, a puzzle and some earrings, all of which have become staples. Not to mention the shop-owner was so kind and helpful. Now I follow the shop on Instagram and have become quite the fan. Definitely worth a stop or online shop!

Not only is this store a gorgeous and aesthetically pleasing visual, but it is also perfectly curated! There is something for everyone - gifts and small, but special pieces that you can pick up fairly inexpensively, or pricier/larger items that are beautifully artisanal and you know you are paying for quality pieces. Such a fun store for browsing and inspiration, or to break the bank with :)

Ive shopped at Berte while at a pop-up market and have continued to admire all of the beautiful pieces Aimee stocks in her shop. Each item is so very unique and beautiful. I cant wait until I can travel downstate again to visit this shop.

Berte is a MUST see when you visit Beacon. Aimee has made such a beautiful shop that hits all your senses in the best way possible. Buying anything from there will make you feel like the cool friend whether you keep it for yourself or gift it to someone else.

When I step into this store I have to take a deep breath first, exhale and remind myself I can’t buy ALL the things. That doesn’t mean I don’t buy MANY of the things. What can I say, I have a weakness for a boutique with its own soul. Berte has such a great energy, from the beautiful floral design (they support their local female owned businesses) to the beautiful light on a sunny day. This store has a little bit of everything but you can tell thought truly goes into what they choose to sell. Home goods, jewelry, stationery, cards I’ll buy but never send. I love it all.

Since 2019 Ive shopped at Berte. People always comment on the unique gifts that I give. Berte is my secret.My wife always lights up when a Berte box arrives. This store is the best. So well curated. Amazing items that you generally wont find anywhere else. Aimee is the owner- she shows great care in sourcing her vendors and partners (if you follow her on instagram, you know this), showcasing women and minority makers and artists. If I ever need a gift for a friend or my wife, its my one stop shop. Style is just so on point. Cant say enough about the amazing treasures you can find here, or the people that run the shop. I think they do lots of pop ups around the upstate area when those are going on.

Every time I need to find a gift, I head over to Berte to pick up goodies. You can tell that this is a thoughtful selection of product as you walk through this beautifully curated shop. Each item carries its own story on where it was made and by who which makes each purchase even more meaningful. Not to mention Aimée, owner of Berte puts her all into this shop and it is very evident. I followed her journey on social media before the storefront had opened and you can tell that she puts every bit of herself into every component of this amazing little spot in Beacon. What keeps me going back is seeing such a high level of passion and commitment by Aimée which drives me to support her all the more. :)

Not just a boutique home goods shop, but an experience from the decor, offerings, music, and service.I first discovered Berte at an art market in Brooklyn (pre-pandemic) and serendipitously stumbled upon the storefront during a trip to Beacon. We will be back, if not for the cute town, exclusively to visit this shop and decorate our space with unique and useful local goods!

This is my new favorite shop in Beacon. Its curated so well. I have discovered new and upcoming artists, as well as brands that ive followed and loved for years! You can get really special pieces (I got a gold ring to wear with my engagement diamond ) and everyday pieces ( a handmade hair scrunchie, or coffee cup) I highly recommend!Whenever I have some extra spending money this is the first place I want to go : )

Berte is a delightful shop with a large assortment of beautifully crafted goods from brilliant artists. I havent been to the brick-and-mortar store since I live on the other side of the country, so all my shopping has been done online and with great ease.Berte is my go-to for gift giving and because there are so many great items at various price ranges so Im always able to find something perfect for what Im looking for whether its a holiday gift, housewarming, get-well-soon, birthday or just because.Its also my go-to for getting things for myself including self-care essentials, gorgeous pottery, and the *best* puzzles. The owner Aimée is incredibly kind, thoughtful, and helpful if I have questions or need suggestions of a direction to go since I want absolutely everything!

I love Berte! I was first introduced to Berte (and Aimée, the owner) at a market in Brooklyn at The Williamsburg Hotel and now she owns the most quaint shop in Beacon, NY! The shop carries a variety of product such as home goods, jewelry and smoking accessories that are all focused on supporting small business/emerging brands. As an NYC native, I missed the sense of comfort that small, curated shops gave me when I moved to Dutchess County. That longing for aesthetic comfort was quickly met by the incredibly talented and hard-working artisan merchants of the Hudson Valley. Aimée does a fantastic job at bringing curations from across the valley (and country!) to this shop. I bought my Christmas gifts here and the friends and partner gave glowing reviews. Berte is a beautifully curated shop and Aimée is the nicest shop owner with the coolest taste. I have shopped at Berte only online as I am not local, but Aimée promptly answers all of my questions, sends me many images, and detailed descriptions, making my shopping experience personal and fun. I very much enjoy the shops modern and colorful selection. All of the items I have purchased I absolutely love. The attached image is a planter by OyOy. I always look forward to Aimées posts on Instagram. What exciting new item will Berte carry next? Incense matches from Japan were such a unique find! My favorite part is that the scents, ceramics, jewelry, textiles, etc are all connected. All thoughtfully presented to tell a story. One day I will visit Berte in person, but for now I will continue my personal shopping experience online!
