This is a fantastic bookstore! I didnt see the inside of their previous location, but theyve done a good job moving into a new place and making it feel fun and quirky. Make sure to go all the way to the back - theres a small room with vinyl records and loads more books. And the shopkeeper is very friendly - we had a great chat even though I didnt buy a book! Definitely seek it out.

One of the coolest bookstores I’ve ever been to! A very eclectic place with a fascinating collection of books. They were all decorated for Halloween too, which added to the experience. I also enjoyed the different themes throughout, such as an entire section dedicated to Edgar Allan Poe, with appropriate decor to match. Highly recommend checking this place out!Only thing I didn’t like was I didn’t notice genre labels anywhere. It was hard to tell if I was looking at nonfiction or fiction, unless I opened a book up.

Very delightful little book store just off Bay Street. My wife loved their selection of books and I was thrilled to discover they had a very nice assortment of vinyl records that were in (mostly) very good condition. Managed to add several to my collection.

Imagine what might happen if an alcove from Hogwarts or a book room from the Dreaming somehow leaked into a lovely corner of Ladys Island--thats what this place feel s like. Walking through its unassuming side door transports visitors to a pocket universe of delight. A feast for the eyes as much as the mind, this is a little shop of wonders. Be warned: once you enter youll find it very difficult to extricate yourself.

This store was really cute, halloweeny, and had a really good selection of books. From childrens books, mythology and tales, to even records! However this location was hard to find because google maps took me to the entire wrong place a friend said the locations probably moved. Also I did have a rude encounter with a worker / possibly the owner which was kind of upsetting.

Nevermore Books is a diamond in the rough of Beaufort. In a sea of copy and paste “salt life” stickers, yeti cups, and seashell jewelry, Nevermore Books provides a much needed breath a fresh air by providing an aesthetic and selection of books that would otherwise be impossible to find in the area.

I love this bookshop. All the posters are for sale, by the way, and a lot of them are originals. The book selection is diverse. The VIBE is museum quality, you think should I be touching this? But its groovy, theres so much to see and read. Its a smaller shop, so I recommend this for an intimate date night or even first date spot on say, a walking tour of downtown Beaufort for book lovers. I would start here, find a good read and walk to the waterfront or a nice park, crack open the spine and read to each other....so romantic in this lovely town.Nevermore Books for your local book needs--go! They also sell records and vinyls!

Our book came today!!! To help support an independent bookstore during COVID, I chose Nevermore Bookstore in Beaufort, SC. They even included a bookmark with their logo (which is, of course, why I fell in love with this bookstore so much in the first place when I used to live there). The owner is so very sweet and accommodating. I cannot recommend this bookstore highly enough! They packed it so well that nothing short of a MONSOON would have gotten to the book! Love love love!!! Highest of high recommendations!! Nevermore Books is AWESOME!!

I absolutely loved this bookstore! The owner was very kind, and she even had her granddaughter there, which was very sweet! I would highly recommend it, as I tend to prefer used bookstores with such amazing decor as this one.Also, in a response to some other reviews I have seen, I don’t believe it was stated in any way that the decor is for sale.

They probably had to downsize due to HORRIBLE customer service.

These owners could save money on their ‘Open’ signs. Doors locked no attentiveness to would be patrons waiting in hot hot wether. They’re open a whopping 6 hours per week. There’s no numbers no texting when it’s your turn. Don’t waste you time. We made a special trip. Insulting.

I have visited this bookstore twice in the past year while vacationing in the area.It is simply a fantastic place to visit.Walking into this bookstore is an amazing experience. It feels like a magic bookstore that you see in a movie or read about in a book.Me being a book junkie makes me look forward to visiting this bookstore more than pretty much any other place while vacationing in the area.

My son picked up a pop up book and a piece of the book fell out. We tell an associate and she takes the book to the back to which another man says “you’ve got to be kidding me.” I can understand frustration, but not only did my son not cause the damage, he also tried to let the shop know so they didn’t sell a damaged book to another customer. I also can’t understand how a business would express that frustration in front of a child. We then stop our browsing and leave feeling unwelcome. My wife decides to go back in and explain the situation again to which the man that expressed frustration simply walked away in the midst of the explanation. Never have I been so upset at the way a situation was handled by a small business. We will never step foot in this shop again and highly discourage anyone else with children to patronage them as well. This shop should be ashamed of themselves.

A need to stop if you love books. It is fantastic!

I collect books, old and new. We where so disappointed to find out literally 80% of the items we where interested in weren’t even for sale just “display only”. Their is more signs saying not for sale then items for sale, when approaching one of the I assume owners, trying to see if a item was for sale because nothing was marked all he said was “nope” as my boyfriend walked towards him with the item. Though the woman up front told us all the vintage posters we see and books where all for sale, the one I was interested in, that was in the store was “not available currently”. And also, the only thing even remotely themed is that books are sold and their are raven statues throughout the store. There is a nice old antique bookstore right around the corner called Mcintosh book shop and it’s wonderful. Check it out.

Pleasant owner, beautifully packaged used books. Decent fiction section, okay non-fiction section. Art books and collectors items ($$$) seem to be her specialty. Closed on Sun/Mon so, tough for industry/service people to visit. Easy to park and offers gift certificates. I found 2 books and a record that I liked. Will return, for sure.

Charming little independent bookstore full of an eclectic assortment of gently used and new works. A far cry from purchasing online or in a box store, youll enjoy the quality and variety. Numerous first editions, including signed, art, childrens books, photography, and vinyl. We had no problem keeping our children close. We wouldnt want them given to the Goblin King (just yet). 🤣

This is the coolest place in Beaufort! The book selection, the atmosphere, the decor, the building, the staff, etc. are all great. They do not allow pets but we took turns going in to look and hanging out with my dog outside. They were playing enjoyable music the whole time as well, and it was quiet enough to not disturb me when looking through books and reading.

This is one of those beautiful independent bookstores that makes me happy by existing. It looks like an eccentric professors lair and comes well stocked with a plethora of great content. We got a signed Shanara novel for my father in law. I couldnt have asked for a more perfect gift.

Theres something about this place that makes it feel very welcoming. When I purchased a book here, I felt compelled to sit down and enjoy the atmosphere. So much do that I bought another book. I tell yeah, if the owner could find a way to setup a coffee shop in there, that place would be the spot to go to.
