In July of 2021 I purchased a cushioned replacement for a sectional that I purchased a few years prior. I was told the cushion could be ordered and I would receive it within 4-12 weeks and there would be no refunds once purchased. I am being to get upset because here it is November 2021 and I have yet to receive my cushion for my furniture! And if I call and ask for a refund I’ll be told no even though it is well outside of the time frame I was given! This is a huge inconvenience. And the holidays are coming up yet I dont have the seating for my furniture!
If I could give this store and company a zero I would. It’s been over 6 months since I’ve ordered my bedroom set. No updates, I can’t seem to get a hold of them. I have left many messages and no one returns my calls. Waiting times to talk to them are well over an hour +. I guess if you don’t mind receiving your furniture sometime in 2025 then don’t shop here!
George H. was very friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable of any of the questions we had concerning the sectionals we were inquiring about. He knew about the different fabric types and what would hold up for our needs considering we had pets. We bought the warranty for a couch, and the company honored it fully. We came in today to pick out a replacement couch as ours was not able to be repaired after a few attempts. George Hulshult was a great help in picking out a replacement piece and getting everything set up.
Excellent furniture... Great sales team.. Even an awesome delivery crew..quick clean and professional and very polite and courteous. My only complaints are how long I had to wait to receive my furniture.. Even with it paid in full up front. With no accommodations or extra commodities for the excessive wait period and extended wait after you already waited!!
Delivery teams have been great. Furniture is the quality expected, you get what you pay for. However, actually getting it here in its complete form was quite the effort. First it came in completely wrong but, they left it so we would have something to sit on, that was cool of them. It was going to be another month to get the correct piece, without much apology or any compensation from the store or warehouse.When the correct piece was finally delivered, after another delay, it was assembled poorly and would not go together. One of the delivery guys, bless him, asked to borrow some tools and got it fixed and working. Two of the bolts had not been completely tightened and was getting in the way. He knew we had been waiting and took it upon himself to satisfy the customer!
Our overall experience was fantastic, and our sales rep Florida did a great job of answering our questions and showing us around. I highly recommend her!

I purchased from value city by the Dayton Mall in the beginning August the sells Rep was fantastic, however my experience went down hill from there! I made the store aware that I was relocating so it was very important to be able to pick up my items before I left which was September 17,2021. The week of pick up a service rep contacted me to confirm pick up for September 12, I made her informed that September 17 was the pick up date, she said some times things don’t completely update in the system far as pick up and delivery. I arrived on September 17 to pickup all the items I purchased. No one ever mentioned that my bed did not arrive in the store, not to mention the service rep had already confirmed EARLIER Pickup! I arrived in Texas only to see I didn’t have a bed. I contact the store directly and they told me I could come get the bed October 7 due to covid. I told the young lady that was not possible and asked could they ship since it was clearly their mistake. She said no and that it was my fault I didn’t make them aware that I was moving to Dallas where they do not have any stores. The end result was a nonchalant return of funds. I was not pleased at all and I’m tired of everyone blaming Things on covid. Amazon is shipping daily!

There were two delays but I’m not going to blame VCF for that. I’m sure it’s all related to the fact that people are shorthanded across the nation. But it was still frustrating.The only thing I’m annoyed about is they gave me a window of 10:45-1:45 for delivery. I had a dentist appointment set for 12:15PM same day. But at 9AM, I received a phone call from the dentist asking if I could come in at 9:30 and I looked at that as a perfect opportunity to take care of my appointment early and get back before they arrive at the earliest of 10:45.But at 9:38 while I’m sitting in the dentist chair, I get a phone call from VCF saying that they will be at the house in 20 minutes. Thankfully my wife was here. But we hadn’t had a chance to clean up after removing all the old furniture the night before, put down our new rug and get everything ready for when the delivery team shows up, and places our furniture. So that created more work on our end having to move the furniture around to do all the clean up and placement of the rug. When you’re told your window is 10:45-1:45, you don’t expect them to even be there at 10:45. But they showed up 45 minutes early at 10:00AM. I don’t blame the delivery team. It’s the fault of whoever does the scheduling.In the end, our furniture is as expected and overall am happy with our purchase.

Purchase from start to delivery was very refreshing. Ron greater us promptly, was not pushy and most of all did not rush sale. He took the time to connect and was knowledgeable. Transaction was smooth. Communication about delivery was perfect with confirmation notifications, automated message with approx time frame and call from delivery tram hiw far away they were. The team was very nice, quick and efficient. They made sure bed was placed in preferred location, height was right and how to use remote. Everything was left as they found it. Thank you

My delivery was great, the delivery guys were friendly and professional taking care to not scuff walls or damage the furniture. I was not pleased that 2 bookshelves were missing from the delivery, but after i called the store, the matter was resolved quickly.

Was a great experience! My wife and I knew what we were shopping for, and we were in-&-out in 30 minutes. Nick D. was all-too willing to walk us all over the store when we werent sure about one piece once we saw it.
The furniture was great. The prices were fair and decent. But the customer service was hands down probably the worst part. Buy a couch.. come back same day with a uhaul... on a monday no less... then proceeded to argue that they dont allow pick-up on mondays. Im sorry but if Im buying furniture for an established location I expect to be able to take it home the same day I pay for it.
I really like VCF in Beavercreek. They have very friendly staff and are always helpful. Although the sofa came months later it was a COVID delay not a store delay. I would recommend them to a friend.

We recently bought a couch from Rob Kordalis at Value City furniture in Beavercreek, Ohio. If you want to deal with someone that makes you feel comfortable and let’s you know that he’s available to help but doesn’t hover, this is your guy. He’s there to answer your questions and then he leaves you to just relax in the furniture you’re trying out. His mom managed this store a few years back and I dealt with her on several purchases. She was such a great person and Rob is just like her. Great family, great people. I wouldn’t deal with anyone else.
First I would like to start off saying if I could give negative stars I would. I have also never left a negative review. I am sharing this to help others. That being said My entire adult life I have done all my big kid furniture purchases at this value city. I made my last purchase here over a year ago a sectional couch, and this time I purchased insurance. Within a few months of buying the couch there were major issues. One part of the sectional was sinking in. Naturally because I had insurance I filed a claim with value city. Months later they sent out tech #1, who was contracted from Indiana and obviously annoyed to be here, he opened the couch said he couldnt find anything. So I called value city, and told them there is definitely something wrong. Months later again they sent out tech #2 he opened the couch found repairs that needed to be done but had to order parts for the job. So months go by and tech #3 comes out to do the repairs with parts tech #2 said he needed. Tech #3 opens the couch finds a lot more wrong with the couch and says more parts will be needed. So months and months go by since still no repair. Its now been over the one year mark where value city is supposed to cover repairs. I call them to get a status and now they say there is nothing they can do. They said tech #3 closed out the ticket and said he did the repairs. I still have the material tech #2 ordered in my garage lol I can physically prove this. They still told me sorry it is over the warranty with them, even though nothing has been resolved when I filed well within my 1 year. They advised me they can someone back out but they will void my 5 yr Warranty I paid for. Or file a new claim with the company I paid for 5 year insurance with. I definitely feel like this was done maliciously by Value City to get out of doing repair work while in their warranty time frame. Trying to put the work off on another company. Everytime I talked to this store they provided little to no help. I would NEVER give them business again.Update: My Husband called and was given a completely different story. Gert(spelling?) Told him that she had told me she is sending a repair person out in 24 to 48 hours did your wife tell you that? She 1000% did not say that along with other things she supposedly told me. As stated previously I was told to file a claim with the company I have a 5 year warranty with and say that the damage was new.

Purchasing furniture was a terrific experience. Delivery associates didnt have tools and needed to pull their pants up. They notified service to repair.

The furniture would not fit. So when buying furniture please check to make sure your doors are wide enough. With that being said the delivery guys were outstanding. They worked with me and came up with a solution that worked. You guys were awesome. Nicholas is the sales person that helped me and I thank him for that because I was just going to leave the store because the first salesman just left me to work with someone else. He lost a sale. The delivery men were very polite and professional. I had no issues with either of the delivery men. I am frustrated that 1 piece of my sectional was damaged and could not be left at the house.The leg had broken off. The delivery man said that he does not know when it will be delivered and for me to contact the store. So we will see how long it takes. I called the store and they said I will get a phone call when the truck returns to the store. I hope they make it a priority.

The store itself is nice and the furniture looks nice. The prices seem reasonable compared to other stores Ive shopped in. I ordered an ottoman and paid $320 for it since it was large and matched my sectional. I chose to pick it up at the store and, here is the reason I am giving 3 stars instead of 2, the guy in the pick up area was extremely courteous and professional. I get it home and put the legs on the ottoman that says it is made to prevent sagging. I picked it up on January 22 and today is March 11. I have attached pictures showing what it is supposed to look like and what mine looks like today. I called the store and the lady says thats because I sat on it. First of all, I didnt sit on it, it is an ottoman and I put my feet on it. My dog sits on it and she weighs 60lbs. It should be able to handle that. Secondly, even if someone sat on it, it shouldnt do this. She says well bring it in and we will look at it. But dont bring it in for at least 2 weeks because our technician has a full service area. Really?
Dont do the acceptance now program. It is worst than a pay day loan. They double fees and taxes when make payments. And dont give ya full credit for the payments that do make. Basically counting on one not being able to pay off accounts. So can double the amount owed

This company has the worst customer service I have ever experienced!It took 6 months to get my electric recliner.When it did finally arrive, it didn’t come with an electric cord.We go to the store to pick up the cord, they give us the wrong cord.We get the correct cord and the recliner breaks over night.I try to get in touch with customer service, and they say it will take 3 days just to contact me about scheduling an appointment.I ask for a manager and get in touch with “Gerdy” who is less then helpful and does nothing.I ask for her manager and am told she would not be available for another day.I’m left with a broken, new couch and absolutely no satisfaction.DO NOT SHOP HERE!!!

I wanted to give a big shout out to the great service I received today from Nick and Carl from the Beavercreek location. Both executed their duties very well in the delivery process, were kind and courteous, and kept me up to date prior to my delivery. My furniture arrived safely and they set it up carefully and with a fast finesse. As someone who does contract jobs and heavy lifting out of state and sets up big shows, I can honestly say they are troopers especially in such cold temperatures and in doing the process of what they do everyday with multiple home deliveries. Thank you guys again so very much!-A very grateful new home owner.& Just a quick tip to everyone! If you are receiving a delivery in these temperatures you should definitely make sure to salt any pathways, steps, high traffic areas of your driveway or asphalt so nobody trips while making your delivery. Keep these guys and gals who do this in mind. Remember to be kind and thankful and it never hurts to tip!)
From the sales person I worked with at the Value City Furniture store and all other staff there, the service was outstanding. My sales person was so easy and fun to work with, she knew her stuff!The delivery team was amazing! I live in an old apartment building on the 2nd floor and it’s not easy to move furniture in and out. The delivery team took their time and got the couch in and setup for me. They were so great! Respectful of my home and personable. They had to try a second option to get the first section of my couch up the stairs and handled it so well. I was very impressed with their teamwork and professionalism.

He knew we had a limited budget and that I had a bad experience buying my last couch ( not from Vcf) and I just needed honesty! He showed me around and answered our questions. Because of George we even came back a month later to buy more furniture. He is the reason we bought from you after going to the other stores, because essentially all the furniture was similar.

George was our salesperson and Kathy was the lovely lady to get us all set up.My husband and I have been all around looking (and buying) furniture lately due to our recent move to the area.There is a delay in delivery all over, but I appreciate how up front George was. He also discussed the options available due to the delay in delivery.Ultimately, we found and fell in love with our table and it should be here in May.We loved that George wasnt pushy.. he was helpful, knowledgeable and really great to work with, without being to helicopter like.Thanks again to Kathy and George!

Worst customer service Ive ever experienced.
Delivered on time, even put down a blanket in the doorway to avoid tracking any mud inside. Quick and painless, no scuffed walls and the delivery was finished and all set-up in 15-20 mins.
Brand new furniture we waited over 2 months for was delivered and 2 of the 5 piece sectional did not work. Called the store to have it serviced. They came out a week later (it was a third party contactor for Value City) and was told the store would be in touch. We never heard from the store so we followed up, the store manager was out on vacation and we were told she would be back and call us back by a specific day. That day came and went so we called again. The store manager was out again. We called AGAIN the next day, were told the store manager would call us back after she finished with a customer, we refused and sat on hold. The manager finally got on the phone and told us she never received the report from the contractor that looked at furniture, so we called the customer service for the contractor and they told us that it was sent the same day of the service and 3 more times since. The store manager had told us she would be calling back on Tuesday this week, and that day came and went and we were sick of it, we went over her head and called corporate, we are now scheduled to have the 2 broken pieces replaced after a 10 minute phone conversation with corporate (who also had terrible things to say about this location) we will not be returning and I would suggest you buy directly online or from another location because this one will just give the run around.

Sales staff was good, and not pushy. Furniture selection is nice, the pieces I chose are of good quality, and the price was right. The only downside was courtesy the shipping warehouse: whoever attached the plastic wrap to the pieces clearly got paid by the staple – 4 or more in each spot from the gun, & it took me nearly an hour to pry them all out so I could attach the feet!
Finally got the sectional I’ve been wanting, they got it in quick and put together very quickly. Although they forgot to connect one part, I’m still satisfied with this purchase!!
Salesperson was amazing! Thank God our furniture we picked was in stock and got a delivery date for the next Tuesday. The truck came on time as planned and the delivery men were so nice and helpful.

I love my new living room furniture set but the sofa was delayed. They called and left a message after I confirmed the delivery date, with no explanation, that my sofa was delayed and would be arriving 52 days later. Dissappointing.
Rohn was a great help during my entire experience. I’m quite picky and indecisive, but he answered all of my questions on all of the items I had questions about.

Bought a sectional from here... wanted it delivered they gave me 3 different dates, customer service is horrible and so i asked to speak to the manager and she was completely rude and never apologized or assured me that my couch would be delivered... living in my place for almost a month with no furniture. & ordered it 2 months in advance lol it sucks cause i really wanted the couch but since mangement was rude i cancelled it. 😅
We picked up our sectional on January 19th. When we got home and put it together we were missing the power supply for one of the three recliners. I immediately called and was told it would have to be ordered and would take 4-12 weeks. Very annoying since we just spent $3,000 on a sectional, but we were very patient and understanding. I called back at the 4 week mark and was told it still has not arrived yet and they would contact us when it did. We are now OVER 3 months and I called again to check on the status. Apparently they NEVER ordered and have no record, so they have to order it again and it will take ANOTHER 4-12 weeks, but they cant do anything else for us. I will NEVER shop here again. Horrible horrible customer service.

VCF used to be on my avoid list, but whatever theyve done over the recent years, the quality and aesthetic of their furniture is WAY above what I expected when I checked them out again earlier this year (2021). Purchased a bookshelf and coffee table, and will be returning to update our dining room soon.Very impressed. If you havent been to a VCF recently, definitely check them out.

I have had the worst experience with these people. I would give 0 stars if I could. I went in sometime at the beginning of July 2020 and placed an order for two mattresses, two night stands, and two beds. They had told us the beds were in stock and that they could deliver. Delivery was a big concern for me because I lived far from this specific Value City but the people there had told me they would find someone. A month later I called them back to find out when the delivery date was and they told me the beds were out of stock. They said they would be more in stock in about a month. I called them back and the same thing happens, this happens all the way until February 2021. It is now March and I get a call that the beds are in, so I ask when they will deliver it. Then they tell me they dont deliver that far..... I was MAD to say the least. I have wasted so much time waiting for these beds all because I was told they would deliver and that they were in stock. Horrible place, never shopping there again!!!!!!

Ordered furniture didnt get all items till August 2020. Paid for 5 yr protection plan which the sales person assured me it was worth taking it out for reassure for 5 yrs, why wouldnt you. I honestly believe the sales man believed what he was telling me. Now never had claim and denied.
