Bought several cubic yards of the sweet green garden mix in March. Amended it with some compost since it was very very sandy. And yet almost 2 months later, nothing will grow in this soil. I am an avid gardener and bought this soil to expand my in-ground vegetable bed. And am so disappointed because everything I have put in this soil stops growing and then dies. In order to try to save it, I am going to have to continue to amend this soil for years to come to make it usable. I am very disappointed with this purchase. The sweet green garden mix appears to be mostly sand with very little organic material in it - not enough to feed plants and provide nutrients to vegetables. Please do not buy the sweet green garden mix if you intend to plant fruits and vegetables in this soil.
