Wow! This place is a little gem! My daughter and I came to Garage Clay studio for a private lesson on the wheel. My daughter had previous experience and I did not; Claire and Elise were so accommodating to both of our levels. They thought of every detail including a little worksheet to help us brainstorm our ideas. The whole experience was so dialed. We loved shopping in the studio, experimenting and designing with clay, the awesome views of the Bridger Mountains from the pottery wheel and our final products from our lesson. I also worked with the owners of Garage Clay on a special ceramic project for a close friend of mine as she entered hospice. They took such care to make sure the designs were exactly what I imagined ( actually better!!) The entire experience of working with Claire and Elise on this project was exceptional.

Wow, what a great night. Elise and Claire were so patient and helpful, and we came away with pieces that were actually proud of. Never knew you could pack so much into two hours! Anybody looking for a great night should go in for a lesson! And anybody looking for a retailer should support these two!!

Garage Clay is such a great place to buy my ceramic supplies. I love that it is located in the Gallatin valley because it is very convenient to pop in and pick up clay and glazes.Claire and Elise have a great eye and all of their supplies are merchandised beautifully. And they are always quick to help and get the supplies I need💜

My husband and I had ourselves a romantic Clay Day at the Wheel back in July and it was so fun! Claire and Elise have done a great job making their space cute and adding the see-through garage door in the back of the shop for the natural light and beautiful mountain views was super smart on their part. We threw a bit outside and then it started to get cold so we moved our wheels inside. We had never done anything with clay before but these two were the best teachers! Very thorough in their directions that anyone newbie would leave their place having made something to be proud of. Would definitely recommend to anyone.

This was the best date night! Claire and Elise are so knowledgeable, warm, and created the perfect environment for first-timers to be creative and have fun. I felt guided while also given the freedom to create my own pieces. I would recommend over and over again!

Garage Clay is awesome in pretty much every aspect of their business. Their customer service is a breath of fresh air- Claire and Elise are so kind and helpful with any questions or guidance you might need. Scheduling with them is a breeze and they are very available and down to earth people who treat you like a person as well! I did a clay day with my sister at the Garage Clay studio (during covid, and covid precautions were taken!) and we had an absolute blast. The entire process brings out your creativity and you get to work with your hands. Guidance was offered but not forced on us, and Claire jumped in and saved my bowls more than once. The cost is well worth the materials, expertise, and experience you have, and at the end you leave with beautiful pottery hand thrown by you. Highly recommend for a super fun, personalized experience.

Claire and Elise are so much fun, so helpful and talented! My friend and I took their wheel throwing class and was blown away by how amazing the instruction and guidance was. I am not creative and had never done anything like this and they had me making my own piece in two hours! I highly reccomend Garage Clay to anyone looking for a date night, girls night, creative outlet or mom and daughter fun. It was such a great experience. Their shop is ADORABLE and if you are a potter look them up for all of your clay needs!

I took a windchime workshop with Garage Clay and it was amazing! Claire and Elise made it such a fun time, helped with any issues, and I got a wonderful wind chime at the end of it :) Love how theyre supplying the valley with clay and supplies!

Garage Clay is my local go-to supplier for all things ceramics, including clay, glaze, tools and advice! Claire and Elise are wonderfully sweet and knowledgeable and willing to share that knowledge! I have picked up a few of my favorite tools from GC - especially their Mudtools metal trimming tool and Garrity foot tools. Claire and Elise have helped me with everything from picking the perfect throwing tools to expand my abilities to troubleshooting glazing issues. These are some of their in stock glazes that they helped me pick out, they even lovelier in person! I cannot recommend Garage Clay enough.
