WORST GARDEN MIX EVER.So I built raised garden beds at our cabin this year and had a ton of beautiful starts ready to transplant. I had grown my starts in bagged soil I got from a department store, cheap, but they turned out really healthy and excellent. No complaints about the cheap department store soil. However, the time came where I had to transplant them in my new garden. We went to Pacific Top Soil, looking to purchase about 4 yards to fill my beds. We asked the sales associate what the best garden mix would be. well, what are you growing? she asked vegetables Oh! You want our special garden mix then. WELL there was NOTHING special about it being that it consists of MOSTLY SAND. I can sit there, water my garden for 30 minutes and puddles form on top of the soil and I scratch the surface and less than an inch underneath the soil is STILL DRY! My poor starts are having a hard time because the roots get almost no water no matter how long I stand there with the hose. Also seems to have very little organic compost material, as vegetable garden mixes should have a percentage of, for nutrient purposes. Very disappointed in Pacific Topsoil, as great soil, YOUD THINK, would be their specialty. Go to them if you want to pay $30/yard, waste hours of your time and labor just to kill your vegetable garden.

Garbage.... Crappy service. I wouldnt recommend anyone coming here. Seattle Sawdust or Cedar Grove is the best in town.

Got the Pacific Garden Mulch. Supposed to be black/dark, but load was pretty brown with lots of coarse matter mixed in; sticks, large pieces of bark, etc. Overall, pretty much a letdown because once the truck dumps it theres no going back!Last time for Pacific Topsoils...Ive learned my lesson. Its worth the extra $25/yard for the good stuff from other vendors...On the plus side, the delivery guy was right on time and very pleasant and dumped the load exactly where I specified. So good service, mediocre (at best) product.

Wide variety of soil and mulch choices here, its a huge place so you can get many yards of whatever you need. Dont go around 11, it tends to be very crowded on weekdays. Try around noon, everyone seems to be on lunch at that time.

Agree with other comment about 3 way topsoil mix was not good at all. Tons of pea gravel (not sand) mixed in the soil. Not good for vegie garden... spend the extra $5 and get somewhere else.

Bad customer service, seems to me that they have preferential treatment for some customers instead of a first come first serve. They are selling crushed concrete as 5/8 crushed.
