Accidentally stumbled across this awesome place while getting boba tea next door. They have fresh seafood at such affordable prices. Some interesting desserts and seasonings can also be found on the shelves and in the freezers. The best part is the super nice and informative owner (I think he is) who explained to us many things including the general lack of seafood inventory in WA this summer.
I havent been to this market but I bought fish from the owner before he opens the business. It was the best Cod that I ever had. I also had sea bass from him as well. Never disappointed. Best price and best quality! I recently found out that he opens the market close to where I work and I am beyond excited to come and make a first purchase. I am sure I wont be disappointed!
Superbly fresh sea food. Consistently the best fish in the Seattle area - worth going out of your way. Definitely the best fish market Ive been to in seattle area. I got wild caught Tai most recently. It was SO fresh and good quality. You can buy caviar at the BEST price too. Marks is amazing. Great customer service. Highly highly recommended.
This will be THE best high end seafood, steaks and basically anything rare and exotic that you cant find in any other seafood markets. Food is always fresh (alive and kicking fresh), fast shipping and as always, excellent customer service. Mr. Jake and Mark will not disappoint. I am a very satisfied customer and I live in Dallas. Imagine that :)
If you love sea products you will definitely love this place and never go anywhere. Staff is amazing. Truly love that place.
Very helpful and knowledgeable with meat and seafood.Wouldnt have tried kinki fish had they not explained to me what the texture and taste is like. It turned out perfect for Chinese steamed fish.
Had been wanting to check this place out, so the bestie and I decided on making poke bowls for dinner and shows last night. Local Market had some just in yellow fin tuna so we went with that, the man working even prepped the tuna for us (we did end up cutting the pieces smaller, no biggie, he still saved us a bunch of extra work) and he gave us great tips on the oils and sauces to use for seasoning, dinner was GREAT. Cant wait to go back for the ingredients for our summer seafood boil (and some halibut since thats my favorite type of fish and they had whole, filets & cheeks)!!!
The fish monger Mark is so sweet and was willing to show me everything they had, where it came from and why it is special. I am impressed and will be back!!
Great variety, fresh wild fish and affordable prices. Makes sense to buy whole fish due to deals.
A great place to get various fresh seafood. It has amazing deals and seafood you cant find anywhere else.
Mark has always been very helpful and polite, along with excellent seafood products! Love this place
This place is legit and the guy working the counter was extremely helpful. I didnt know what the hell the different flavor profiles of the fish I hadnt seen were, and he walked me through everything and was very patient with me.
First heard about this place when I was looking for caviar. But man do they have so much more! It has become my go to for special fish and meats. Fortunate to try halibut, king crab, branzino, dry aged steaks, wagyu, and even some foie gras. Give this place a try next time you’re thinking about making a special or unique meal!
I’m so excited that there’s a local place on the Eastside with an amazing selection of meats, seafood, and foodie eats (ie. caviar, cheese, sauces, oils, and charcuterie!).I’ve been to Local Market twice now and have great interactions with Mark and Jake. Mark is very personable and knowledgeable about the different products they offer at the store. I learned that Mark supplies to some of my favorite grocers and restaurants in the Seattle area (ie. Lam Seafood, Ascend, etc); now I don’t have to travel across the bridge to get fresh seafood and meats for my foodie creations!I highly recommend going on Wednesday when they have an amazing deal on A5 wagyu from Kagoshima, Japan!!
Great place and good prices for quality fish
The owner Jake ripped me off and charged me $30 extra dollars and sold me all broken snow crab legs with 1-2 legs actually attached
