Scary in the sense of what company is trustworthy, reliable, and reasonably affordable.We needed a new fence for the backyard, so we did our typical investigation online through reviews and looked into different fencing company. When we came across Family Fence, we loved all of the positive reviews. When we went in person to book an appointment, they were quick to book us in and get straight to work.At Family Fence, they listened to our concerns and even sent one of their professionals to come out and check out our property (we had a tree that had been recently removed and the roots uplifted the fencing area).Once the fence was installed, the compliments from friends and family started coming in. Our two neighbors, whose fence had to be taking down (we live on a corner property) LOVED the work and fence quality.Recently, we had a minor issue with the gate closing. We contacted them through email and told them about the concern. No joke, within 48 hours, they sent one of their professionals over to help fix the gate lock. BRAVO! I decided to do so because I know the process of finding the right company can be extremely difficult and time consuming, and hoped my experience would make those of another easier.Prior to selecting Family Fence, I had reached out to several companies but always felt people couldnt fully answer my questions or address my inquiries. Despite their price being on the higher end, I went with Family Fence because they spent time explaining the process in great detail, answered all my queries, and provided the personal attention that other companies lacked. In addition, all their products were made in the USA and came with a lifetime guarantee. Finally, I never felt rushed or like they were trying to take advantage of me.Family Fence was professional, knowledgeable and a pleasure to work with. The first time I called, they spent 20 minutes talking to me on the phone answering all my questions, they emailed me samples of work they had done, and when I went to visit their store, they spent an hour explaining the actually process, outlining the time line, cost and installation process. Everyone at Family Fence was lovely to work with, from initial scheduling, to getting an estimate, to installation and beyond. Can’t say enough good things about this company!!!!! Had vinyl fencing installed 2 years ago and had a good experience then. After this winter I noticed one of the picket caps had blown off and was nowhere to be found. This spring I contacted Frank ( office manager) to see how I could get a replacement. He couldn’t have been more accommodating. Not only was he able to get me a matching replacement, he also gave me a few extra. Then, he refused to accept any payment !!!! They are absolutely amazing!!! I received a letter from my homeowners insurance company telling me that they were going to cancel my insurance if I didnt put up a railing by 5/21/2020 in the middle of a pandemic. I called Frank once I received this letter and he was very honest and sad that at that time he was unable to help. I begged and he said due to government restrictions and safety concerns unfortunately he couldnt help. He then took the time to explain if any construction was done on a home fines would be given to his company and myself as a homeowner. He said once he has the go ahead from New York and the town he would be right there to help me and boy was he ever!!! He put me on the list and he got my fence put up and my homeowners insurance stayed in place.He spoke to me truthfully and did exactly what he said he was going to do. This time I know I got it right with Family Fence. Icalled them and they informed me of their back log of work and were honest from day one which I appreciate. Had a new railing installed on a side stoop. Was scheduled for a specific day, but weather prevented that date. Company was in touch about cancellation and rescheduled another date. This is the second time Ive used Family Fence for a fence project and they did not disappoint. The workmen were excellent. They arrived on time and remained on the job for hours until the entire fence was installed. They had some tricky spots and had to maneuver around trees but the installation was absolutely perfect. I am very pleased with the overall look of my new fence, the professionalism of the workers, the excellent pricing and the fact that the owner called to follow up to ensure that all went well. I needed a new PVC fence installed at my house and called up Family Fence about a free estimate. Estimator was at my house at the appointed time and discussed options and price with me. No pressure from the estimator to sign up. Next day I contacted the company and arranged for them to do the job. I send in a deposit and a date and time was set. Installers came right on time. They started the work and I could see they were pros. I have been in construction for decades and I know good work when I see it. When the job was finished it came out perfect. The grounds were cleaned up and the men left. For anyone looking for a good company with very fair prices I would highly recommend Family Fence

Came on agreed times, i actually had to swap the times around a bunch of times and they were always willing to work with me and re-schedule. They were the only fence company who showed up for the estimate when they were supposed to! Price was fair so we just went with them. Appointment for Quote was March 3rd, received the quote March 14 by email. Delayed but ok no problem. A few weeks later I got really sick with Covid-19. Than planet was put on quarantine. Called yesterday got a voicemail pretty much saying not giving any new quotes but if you have received a quote then leave info for call back. Today received a call back telling me I was given the wrong price. Was told the guy who wrote up the quote was in training also said the difference was like 1000. This was the 5th quote I received roughly all about same price (+or- 150) only reason i wanted to go with this company was for the reviews. I can understand a few 100 but $1000 more. Its a shame.

Positive experience with Family Fence. Had a patio railing installed. Very satisfied with quality and design, as well as the overall installation. Minus a star since I attempted to adjust my design a few weeks prior to install date by adding a trim piece but was dissuaded by a necessary/reported restocking fee as the original posts/rail? size would have to be modified up and original sizing were already ordered from manufacturer. Thought the fair lead time would suffice. I would recommend Family for all fencing needs.

Family Fence did a great job installing a replacement fence in my back yard. They were able to get me cedar stockade that other companies could not or would not special order. The installers showed up on time, worked quickly and also did a great job on the difficult sloping portion of my yard.

Best company that I’ve dealt with since I’ve moved to Nassau County. They gave me a great price, constructed a beautiful fence, and were a pleasure to deal with. Then a few months later, some punk decided to knock one of my fence sections down in the middle of the night. So I called Family Fence and they came back to repair it the next morning, free of charge. Overall great company, and If there were more than five stars, they’d get those also.

Family Fence just installed a new PIC fence around my property and it looks great! I cant speak to durability yet, since its been only a few days, but the warranty is good just in case. We just had Family Fence install a black aluminum fence in our yard (with two entry gates). It looks amazing. First off, when I was calling for the initial estimate they were able to come for the estimate the very next day during their busy season. (I had called another company for an estimate as well who never even called me back.)When we decided to change the layout of the fence the day it was being installed, they accommodated it without any question or pushback. The crew that was there to install it made suggestions as to how it would look best and eased any concerns that I had. When they were done installing, we were missing two fence panels (because I had changed the layout to a larger area) and they were back in 2 days (!!!!) to finish the job once the panels they ordered arrived!The installers were very nice, professional and worked all day to get the job done quickly, they were also very neat and the fence looks great.Family Fence was an amazing choice for my family’s home and they’ll be my first call for any future needs

It is extremely rare to have a contractor come to your home, perform a job, and leave without the homeowner wondering what just happened. Family Fence was that rare exception. Terrible customer service experience. The office employees attitude is customer is never right. Its more like they feel that they are doing you a favor. Better hope installation goes well otherwise good luck getting them to fix the problem. After the fence is in youre nothing to them anymore.
