Staffs were nice and helpful.
Wonderful old fashioned family hardware store, reminiscent of the old 5 and 10 cent stores. Lots of items you’d never thought would be here are here. They make keys, have some fishing line, notions and lots of antiques on the wall to look at.
She ALWAYS has the thing you need, even if you dont know what that is...she does and knows where it is in her store
Fantastic store! Had everything I needed and such a great vibe. Really thankful to have such a lovely local spot.
The store owner seems to like a challenge figuring out a solution to what ever youre trying to fix...
This place is a gem. Like many small town shops, the customer service here is the best!
I was hunting for a screw to put a waffle iron back together, and nothing seemed to fit: they were either too small or too large. Wanda, the woman who runs the place, noticed I was taking a while to find a screw and came over to help. She couldnt find a screw that would fit either, so she offered to re-tap the screw hole on the spot! That turned what would have been a really frustrating problem into a quick solution. I would never have gotten that sort of service at a national chain like Home Depot or something. Go to Winters Hardware, its super!
Winters Hardware saleswoman was nice to me during first visit ... in fact, we had a nice chat ... but a second time I went there to return an item, she challenged me but finally processed my return ... after she deducted a 20% return fee ....... can you imagine? Have you ever heard of a vender charging a fee for a returned item one of her male vendors was uncertain about recommending? He was trying to help but admitted to not being knowledgeable about what I was looking for. Outrageous !!!She pointed to a sign noting a 15% return fee policy but took 20% from my return credit. Oh ... and the woman called me a not very nice name. No stars but I had to choose one to post ...Go to Coolidge Hardware (less than half mile away); you will find knowledgeable and courteous staff, as well as a clean, well organized and stocked inventory. I wish Winters Hardware success in turning her business around.
I really want to like this store but just cant. The selection is eclectic, disorganized and overloaded. They have dusty items no one needs yet cant manage good paint samples. Its time to clean out the old stock and revamp the store. Also a good cleaning would do wonders. In the meantime Ill continue to drive out of my way to other independent stores.
Service is horrible. Been in twice and the salespeople are more interested in making suggestions than listening to what you need. The last trip the person would not stop talking about products that were useless to my task. I had to cut them off just to say I was leaving. Will never be back.So the owners response is not addressing the issue or apologizing but make an excuse for bad service. My review is not the only one complaining about bad service. Now I know the problem is the owner and not just a few employees. Stay away!
While it’s a tad dusty (it is a hardware store) I have found the staff and particularly the women who’s usually there to be very friendly and helpful. Peace.
Great old time hardware store with knowledgeable staff
I’ve always been satisfied at Winters Hardware...never had a problem with anyone...
Rudest service. While looking at the wall of glues trying to find a specific brand of wood glue, the owner told me it was right in front of me and asked me whether I could read.
Interable customer service. Hostile to customers. Dust everywhere. High prices.
It’s for service is horrible all the people there are extremely rude
I live around the corner and try to support local businesses but the people here are nasty.
