If you are not a landscaping company, do not use Turf Equipment!! The customer service is poor -- the landscapers are often served before individual customers and the paperwork process is unbelievably slow. The cost for a lawn mower tune-up is around $150 which seems awfully high for a $325 mower (which I bought there)! The location is convenient for me, however, so I considered these problems minor nuisances and have had my lawn mower serviced there for 5 or 6 years. Last straw for me was this: Last Spring when I picked up my lawn mower after getting a tune-up, the mower was leaking gas. I pointed this out to the man who brought it out to the car. Just a loose screw, he told me, and took it back to the repair area for a few minutes. Throughout the summer the mower worked well enough, although very difficult to start, till the end of the summer when the mower again began leaking gas. The company picked up the lawn mower, fixed it and then delivered it back to me. First mowing after that, I was unable to start the mower at all and had to ask a neighbor for help. Second time, neither I nor another neighbor (big muscular guy) were able to start the mower. I borrowed a neighbors lawnmower to do my last mowing of the season, and called Turf Equipment a few weeks ago to discuss the problem. They again picked up the mower, but called a few days later to say that there was oil in the carburetor, that it was my fault, and that Id be charged for the repair and deliver service. My other option: I could just abandon the mower there. The guy on the phone told me someone turned this mower over and the oil spilled into the carburetor..... could have been when you were taking it out of the car. I explained that Turf had done the pick up and delivery the last two times the mower was in for repair. Well, someone must have turned it over to see what was wrong with it then. But the problem was that the mower didnt start when Turf returned it to me last summer!! I protested. We went back and forth a few times like this, and then the staff person hung up on me. I felt like the company should take responsibility for the problem given that they had returned the mower to me last summer in non-working condition, or at least working out a compromise solution. Does this seem like unfair and disreputable business practicing to anyone else???
I would never use this company again I set up and had my snowblower picked up for tune up and fix the shoot. Never heard from them. It was so difficult to get a hole them and when I did they told me I needed $500 of repairs and I should buy a new snowblower from them. I picked up my snowblower and they could not find it they had ready to be scrapped and when they found it wire were all over the place Never seen a company run like this I wont be back

Comparable prices to Home Depot but better commercial and homeowner outdoor power equipment selection. Huge parts selection and reliable service. Pickup and delivery option for new machines and repairs.
Let me a paint a picture for you, take a walk in my shoes friend. I am but a simple man who clears his driveway by hand as my forefathers before me did. However after a recent dressage accident involving a certain finicky mare that cannot be named for legal reasons, I became unable to clear my own driveway as I am accustomed too. After a quick conversation with their friendly staff I was able to acquire a brand new top of the line Ariens professional 32 track snow blower and I couldn’t be happier. Absolute gentlemen and scholars work here.

DO NOT GO HERE FOR REPAIR. My original review is below. The 2nd time I used the machine they allegedly repaired, it would not start. I decided to check it out for myself and it turns out they gave the machine back to me WITHOUT THE AIR FILTER! This machine was a work horse for 20 years and I asked them to service it so I could use it for another 20 years after it failed to start this season. I really feel like these guys just took my money and didn’t do anything to the machine. My original review was 3 stars, as follows:Very expensive for repair work. Had a trimmer serviced and they charged me $30 for a gallon of gasoline, plus $105 for the “labor” of cleaning out the carburetor, fuel filter and checking the spark plug. Should have been half what I paid for it. Nice people, but I feel I was very overcharged, so I won’t be going back again. You only get one chance to make a first impression.

Went to this real shop to purchase an industrial snow blower, the owner talked me through the pros and cons of each model. I ended up leaving with a completely different one manufacturer that intended, so glad I found them
I have used Turf Equipment for parts to repair various equipment I own (I have been fixing cars and small engines for years). Their extensive supplies, helpfulness, and reasonable prices are great. What might be seen as unresponsiveness I see as casual - no one is gloming onto you to make a sale. Requests for help are responded to quickly and knowledgeably.
Staff seemed overwhelmed with volume of customers when I arrived, by the time they got around to me, the staff was very cordial and informed about my snowblower problems. It’s conveniently located and any further complications I might have, Turf Equipment will be my first stop.
Of course I left dealing with my snowblower until the big storm. Understandably, they said they were swamped and couldnt service it that day. But despite being flat out, they were sympathetic and gave me some suggestions and a couple products to try, which worked perfectly, got me up and running. 5 stars for giving me exactly what I needed when I needed it. Owner was a jerk. He kept telling me how busy he was. Do I care? I looked at a mower he had on display, took photos- then I bought one from someplace else. Wouldnt recommend this establishment. Zero stars if possible. Zero customer service skills.
I was here three times, and the third is my last time. Very slow and impersonal service. Dropped off lawnmower to be serviced on a Saturday. I told them it was a problem of not having emptied the fuel over the winter. They promised to have it ready by Tuesday of the next week. However they demanded a deposit of $45.When I called on Tuesday, they told me it would be another week, and quite honestly they didnt seem to care. I went there to pick up my mower to have someone else do the job - and they spend 1/2 hour trying to refund my $45 deposit to my debit card. After failing that effort and wasting everyones time, they finally conceded defeat and gave me cash instead. They seemed so slow and clueless and unapologetic. As if to show me they didnt care, the woman who gave me back the cash, dropped it on the counter and looked away!The line of waiting customers was building and they didnt seem to care.Never ever again!The good news? I took my lawn mower to another establishment and they fixed it while I was waiting at 1/8 the cost! Superb customer service!
These guys are real professionals and provide great service. I had some problems with my snow blower during the last storm. I had purchased the snow blower from Turf Equipment earlier during the year. Called them and even though they were extremely busy took my message and called me back later in the day. I explained the situation with the blower. Rich showed up the next day and picked up the snow blower. The problem was addressed free of charge and returned back to me in less than 48 hours. These guys are great.
These guys were very knowledgeable and friendly. Im thrilled with the assistance theyve provided in tuning up my snow thrower, helping me buy a chainsaw, and renting a tiller.

Please beware of Turf Equipment company for repairs. I took a chainsaw with a loose chain in there. Incredibly rude and it was clear he didn’t know what to do. But he took a deposit and the chainsaw. When I didn’t hear anything the next day, I called and he said “oh I can’t find the part”I returned to reclaim the chainsaw, which was still taken apart. When I asked if I was getting my deposit back, he said no “we worked on it”. Unbelievable

Guy behind the desk was very unhelpful, he couldnt even stop what he was doing to look at me and have a conversation. Let me know that he wouldnt bother picking up my equipment because he felt that he couldnt find parts, without knowing any information about the unit.
So glad I found Turf Equipment when I did! I dropped off my snowblower to be serviced early last fall, and when I got it back it was running great. I then promplty forgot about it as we had so little snow for the first part of the winter. But over the last 3 weeks I counldnt be happier with how my snowblower is running. Its like new, and its a good thing--that snow blower is the only reason I was able to get to work last monday.
Clerk playing dumb, why do I need a part? Got an advice from the clerk- get rid of mulcher, get a new one here... He will be waiting for me to come back for a long, long time...
