I feel that they are a complete rip-off ( $360 to replace a $30 switch that we diagnosed) and unless you are desperate, call someone else. To their credit they seemed knowledgeable and showed up on time, ultimately repairing the unit after ordering the wrong parts the first time.
I called HDA on Monday morning 3/8 for repair on my Maytag refrigerator. Within 1 hour, I received a call back (2 other companies I contacted have yet to return my call 4 days later!) Because the tech had a window of time, he was here 1/2 hour later! He ran diagnostics, found and repaired the issue and all is well.The reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is because I felt the charge for the work done and time spent was a bit excessive, but I am happy with the service I received.
The tech that came was great and professional. He installed a new window kit in our oven. It looked nice. The first time we used the oven some steam/liquid appeared behind the new kit on the interior glass. We called High Desert and they sent a service tech out. He declared he did everything correctly and did not have any ideas about how this new leaking is occurring. Then proceeded to charge a service call fee based on his managements direction (meaning, we dont blame the tech). I understand completely why the reviews arent better for this business.
Terrific job by Garret and his partner fixing my freezer and microwave! Neither appliance has been functioning completely right for months - the microwave light burned out over a year ago, and the doorspring broke in March. The icemaker stopped working a few years ago, and gradually the freezer turned into nothing more than a refrigerator, as it would cool but not freeze. Garret and his partner diagnosed all the issues on their first visit, ordered the correct parts, then returned and fixed everything. I dont think my built-in refrigerator/freezer has ever worked this well in the five years Ive lived in my house! Quiet and COLD!Garret and his partner were friendly and professional. They were great at explaining what they found and how they would fix it. Before each visit, they would call when they were about to arrive. They were very neat, and wore facemasks the entire time.I hope I dont need more appliance repairs soon, but if I do, Ill definitely use High Desert Appliance Service!

Outstanding service from Garrett. He even had to run back to his shop to pull some parts, yet came back and serviced kitchen and laundry room appliances same day. He did have to order one part, and well be happy to have him back. Polite, professional, perfectionist. Just what we want in an appliance repair gent. He is exceptional and a credit to High Desert Appliance Service.
Responded in a very reasonable time to my request for warranty service for a new washing machine that was having problems. Garret, the technician from HDAS, was highly knowledgeable and informative. Two thumbs up.

ROY was wonderful - moved my appointment to the best of his abilitiesAnd the technician that arrived was so great-If you do not call these guys - well - good luck to you - you should have - I am serious - this was a good experience :) - I would give them - A 10
They were prompt and cheerful, Steve did a great job. But I would give them 0 stars for their price. It was a 10 minute job and the part cheap but they charged me more to fix a switch on my stove than I was charged by a different company to install an entirely new fan in my fireplace insert which involved an hour an half of work and a much more expensive part.
I read the negative reviews and was apprehensive about using them but they are the only repair company in my area. My experience was extremely positive. Randy in Customer Service keeping me informed on the status of my appointment. When the repair required a part that had to be ordered, I received a status call from Randy as well as an email with the particulars of my follow up appointment. Ian was my service technician. He was great - informative, cordial, efficient and even gave me some little known info about best practices for my appliances. I will not hesitate to use High Desert Appliance again!
My phone call was answered right away and they worked with me to fit a house call with my schedule, no problems or questions asked. The technician, Steve was courteous, knowledgeable, and helpful. He called to let me know he was on his way and offered advice above and beyond the original reason for our call. We would not hesitate to use High Desert Appliance Repair again!
We received such efficient and prompt service from HDA! Called on a Monday morning, was scheduled for a tech to come out on Tuesday, problem identified, parts ordered, and received.....back in business by early Friday afternoon!It could not have gone smoother! From the gracious folks that answer the phone and get you scheduled to the highly trained techs, we were more than satisfied with their wonderful service!
Horrible receptionist. I called for a service call asking someone to come out. Advised her our dishwasher had the same problem it had on a prior service. She disagreed rudely and unprofessionally interrupting me when I was trying to explain that the service call she was seeing in my records was not the issue we were now having. This is the same person who hung up on me when I called 3 months ago claiming she couldn’t hear me. I’d NEVER use this company. She’s gonna put them out of business!
Had them come out for an estimate for repair on a fridge in . Paid the $95 service call that they say will be rolled back in to the repair charge when they come back. They were supposed to get back to me with an estimate. Never heard from them. Have called 3x since then asking about it and always get Well get back to you on that. Nothing. Ever.Its a rip off company. They make a quick $95 and then string you along.
Absolutely Terrible. I would give them NO Stars, if this would let me. They refused to conduct their business in a positive and professional manner and I had made an appointment and then the lady argued with me on the phone about them being a complete NO Show. and when I followed up about why they did not come, the lady made excuses and tried to blame me clearly for their mistake and expected me to change my whole schedule around for them. Her actions were awful how she was treating me as a potential customer and therefore I will Never be a customer and I believe no one else should be either. That is Poor Business practices and I would recommend everyone stay clear away from this company. Plus let me add another Important Feature. They are Hugely OVER-PRICED for what they claim to provide and NO One deserves to OVER-PAY ever, especially with the kind of service they showed me they would be providing me.
They were called because our fridge leaked an oily substance. The guy came and looked at it for only 5 minutes and said the liquid wasnt from the fridge. He said I must of spilt something. I told him I didnt. I even showed him a picture. Why would I call you to look at my fridge if I spilt something. Very unprofessional. Making excuses because you cant find the problem. Oh, and it cost $95. What a rip off.Update 6/16/18: I took a look at what you saw and must of been from previous owners. It looks nothing like what we saw and my picture. Next time we have an issue Ill make sure they hire someone who is more knowledgable and cares about their customers.
We had an icing issue in our freezer that we couldnt figure out. I called High Desert Appliance, had an appointment the next day at 11 and it was fixed within 30 minutes. Garret was a pleasure to work with and explained his work when he was done. Couldnt have gone any better. Thanks!
Hello people, I had to write a good review for this company they came out when they said, and the same technician that had came out for the diagnosis came back came back for the repair and got me back to cooking, in a short time, thanks Ian and the team.
Called 5 or 6 times before getting through. Once connected, met with attitude of indifference before getting hung up on. Called back only to be immediately hung up on again. Called last time and got voicemail. Was referred by Standard TV and Appliance and assume they are overwhelmed. Dont think I would trust them even if I were to get through at this point.
Did not have the part I needed. Didnt even have a simple fan for a refrigerator. My customer was very unhappy. I lost money on these folks.

Terrible, terrible, terrible customer service. When referred warranty work, they refuse to do any leg work if there are complications. Their staff is rude, their ownership even worse. NEVER work with these people if you can avoid it.
