Everyone in Bend knows about Bonta! Their rotating list of flavors are all homemade and delectable. This is the go-to spot for dessert in Bend, and is close to all the major restaurants to follow a nice dinner. Very affordable too!

We were visiting from out of town and wanted to enjoy a sweet treat with gluten-free options for our kids. They were in heaven when they were able to get a GF waffle cone and have so many allergy-friendly flavor choices of gelato. The GF brownie in the espresso brownie was so tender, soft, chewy, and delicious, I would never have known it was gluten-free! The flavors we tried were all amazing and we loved every bite.

We’ve had Gelato all over Europe, including some of the best spots in Rome. This place is legit! Fresh, with some great flavors, and delicious waffle cones. Definitely coming back.

Tried Bonta Gelato for the first time a few days ago and I was very happy to see that they had several vegan options to choose from. I selected the Marionberry lemon and the toasted coconut in a waffle cone and they were delicious. The place is not dog friendly (inside) but they do have tables and a bench to sit outside where your dog is welcome.

Super authentic! Probably the closest to real Italian Gelato you can get in the US! Amazing! Super friendly staff! And they haven pistachio and hazelnut which is the my absolute favorite Gelato flavors!

The flavors are great, but be warned that employees DONT tie their hair back and let it fall over and into the ice cream containers as they reach across them. Ive had 3 separate instances of long hairs embedded in my ice cream. Hesitant to go back again. Its simple food safety, pretty gross for a high end shop.

I got some gelato with my sister for a girls day, this place is so great! They have awesome variety of gelato flavors. The ones I picked were delicious. Id recommend walking there, parking isnt great. But upside they are just a stride away from a big water fountain so relaxing.

Got gelato. I had the coconut and the chocolate. The coconut was made with coconut milk, not regular milk, so it wasn’t as creamy. The chocolate was perfect. My husband had dulce de leche and cinnamon maple pecan, which we’re both excellent. Would definitely stop again if back in Bend.

Pretty good gelato although it seemed a bit sugary. The most experienced employee wasnt very friendly. Pretty good alternative if Goodies is too crowded.

So delicious! Got the mint gelato during the Saturday festival, and it made all the difference! This is the real stuff. I highly recommend if you enjoy gelato, dessert, or just good food in general! The atmosphere is beautiful, and it’s easy to get to once you’re downtown.

Cute ice cream place with good service! They have 4 ounce and 5 ounce decisions. For the 4 ounce one you can pick up to 2 flavors. When they scooped me my ice cream, the cup wasnt full. So the portion is a little bit small for me.

The staff was friendly and helpful, and the gelato was great. Family loved our trip there.

Visited Bontà this last week and my taste buds were definitely satisfied. They had 4 different vegan options which my husband appreciates. All the flavors were very tasty. You can even do 2 flavors in 1 cup for no extra charge!The customer service was wonderful as all the employees were very kind. They have nice seating all around and cool artwork that they change up every couple weeks I believe they said. They also had a wall display of local activities and businesses. I love seeing locals support other local companies. Great place to check out for that sweet craving!

VEGAN ICE CREAM ALERT!Bontá has some bomb vegan ice cream - and I’m not talking only sorbet. Last time I stopped in I got 2 vegan flavors: coconut and a coffee flavor. So creamy. So delicious. 10/10 would recommend.

Bonta is a must do in Bend! The gelato is fantastic and consistent - their rotating flavors are delicious and very true to Oregon. The Tumalo Lavender Honey is so unique and fun! The store itself is cute, and the only complaint I could think of is that it often is very crowded, but that’s understandable! Definitely add to your list of things to do in Bend!

Kids loved it and great taste. The freshness in taste was recognizable and indicates the premium content they use. Seating is limited and prices are normal.

Great ice cream and very friendly service. They have many excellent options and no gimmicky flavors. We really enjoyed Cookie Dough and Almond Butter flavors. The Boysenberry Lime sorbet was also excellent. They have prepackaged pints to go. Interior is very cozy and is a part of an old building with multiple business inside. Highly recommended by my kids!

Gluten free waffle cones!!!!!!!!!!!! And gluten free ice cream cookie sandwiches!! This place is SERIOUSLY amazing, the gelato is THE BEST. The owner has some amazing stories to tell! Most of the flavours are gluten free, even one with brownie bits in them. HIGHLY recommend!

Worth the visit and the serving size. Small serving @$4 with two flavors enough to satisfy the pallette. Quick service and taste samples. Line out the door in February. Can only imagine it in July.

Love this place! Can’t go wrong with any of the flavors, but I would definitely recommend either Marionberry blood orange or stracciatella. Adding a “topping” (served on the side so you can add it throughout) is also well worth it. The small size is very generous.

We went to Bonta tons of times during our trip to bend. Im an ice cream lover and always seek out the best ice cream wherever I go, Bonta was definitely the hot spot in Bend. I tried most of their flavors over the course of our time there, the standouts were the stracciatella and the lemon curd. Dont miss it!

Now I know why theres always a large line outside this spot. Truly delicious gelato style ice cream with creative flavors and amazing topping selections. The line went quick and it was certainly worth the wait, this is a must have on a warm summer night!

If you have a sweet tooth, this place can help you satisfy it. They offer a variety of gelato flavors as well as gluten-free and vegan options. The two sizes are a small (4oz) $4.50 and medium $5.50? I got a small and it was more than enough for one person. The nice thing is that the employee piled on my gelato into the small cup and allowed a half/half of two flavors. I love when they allow that! It gives you the opportunity to try more flavors. I’ll definitely come back when the sugar craving hits.

Bonta has the best gelato. Their Strattiatella (probably didn’t spell that right) is the best Strattiatella I’ve found. Their staff is really friendly and takes the time to learn their regular customers names. I love this place and highly recommend Bonta to anyone looking for really great gelato.

While waiting on take out from Noi Thai, we walked over here and tried their gelato on a whim. I had the dulce la leches with sea salt caramel + chocolate coconut sorbet to. My girlfriend had the salted vanilla. It was fantastic.

This was the ABSOLUTE BEST, MOST AMAZING DELICIOUS GELATO I HAVE EVER EXPERIENCED! Yes this was an experience!! Soo yummy Soo delicious! I cant wait to go back! I experienced so many taste tested before making my selection -everything was incredible and so hard to make a choice. The staff was great! They are so nice and they seem genuinely happy to help you experience their product!! I eventually chose a scoop each of the salted chocolate, Oregon hazelnut and pistachio flavors. I cant wait to go back! I would consider driving to Bend from Medford for the day specifically to experience more Bonta Gelato 😋

This place is so good. I wish I wouldve taken pictures! If you want to get a 2 or 3 flavors you can do 2 in a 4oz or 3 in a 5oz and the prices are great. I thought I was going to save some to take home with me but that didnt happen. It was so delicious I couldnt stop eating it. 12/10 would recommend!

A must go! Delicious and flavor options for all! Vegan options. Their salted chocolate was to die for... dreaming of it now. Free samples of their rotating and seasonal flavors - of all if you wish, friendly service, and they sell by the pint and gallon too! The prices and serving size are a deal! (4oz - 4$; 5oz - 5$). Only downside is I wish there was one closer to home!

Not the best gelato Ive had, but not the worst either. The line was slow moving (and out the door due to Covid), there was just one server, my waffle cone was over cooked in the waffle iron.The gelato flavor selection was pretty good and they had a number of dairy free and vegan options as well for those with dietary restrictions. All in all I dont think Id head back as the gelato at the Cravins is as good or better and more conveniently located.

We always stop at Bonta on our trips to Bend. The gelato is delicious and I appreciate their vegan options as well. The staff is usually lovely but on our most recent trip a few days ago we were super disappointed. We had looked up flavors prior to going and when we arrived found that some of the flavors on the website were not available, including the one I was hoping to get. I thought I was being helpful by letting the two people tending the shop know the website had it listed incorrectly in case they wanted to fix it but the response I received was a rude, snarky laugh that felt like I had been dropped into the Mean Girls movie. It made the whole group feel uncomfortable. and was such a bummer because all they had to do was say thank you or give a smile until we left. Then they could have laughed all they wanted about whatever it was they thought of us. To add to the experience, I left with an expensive gelato flavor I didnt end up liking. I completely understand why Bonta is not offering samples during COVID but it would be nice if more were done to ensure guests enjoy the flavor they walk out with since so many flavors are very unique. Offering a sample in a cup which can be thrown away same as the purchased gelato or offering guest a flavor switch if they do not enjoy what they picked would be really nice. So with all that said, 3 stars because in the past we have had great experiences and great gelato. Hopefully this was just a one-off bad experience.

Best Ice cream in Bend. Reminds me of Jenis Ice Cream out of Ohio. Very artisanal with their flavors and their process. Sample as many flavors as youd like. Youll want to because so many flavors will probably be new to your palate.

We love love love this shop. We managed to escape and survive fires and so we really needed a pick me up. The fact that we found an ice cream shop that serves organic? Score! Add to that its incredibly delicious and the service was impeccable? Paradise! We have so far gone twice and bought 3 of their pints because we couldnt resist.

Amazing experience and amazing gelato/sorbet. All their ingredients are locally sourced, and the flavors are amazing. I recommend getting the flight which is 6 flavors of their gelato or sorbet, with a good-sized portion of each. Its definitely enough for two people. However, its what Id recommend to be able to try everything that sounds good to you. All six flavors that we had were amazing! And to top it all off, a very friendly staff!I would DEFINITELY recommend this place to a friend, or a person looking for suggestions.
