Great selection of clothes. But double check your receipt, he will double charge you sales tax. Its happened to me twice.

Halmar is a great find because they sell quality work clothes at several price points and they tell you like it is. They have lots of bandanas, priced reasonably, as well as rugged clothing, including offerings by Ben Davis, Carhartt, and some European brands not found elsewhere. I usually stock up here seasonally, whether gearing up for crisp autumn weather or warm summer projects. Very popular gear with my teenage daughter and twenty one year old son. This is an independent store and the owner is a good guy. I trust him.

The owner was shouting on the phone about his political beliefs for at least 15 minutes. I dont care what your opinions are, but hearing someone shouting for that long is super unpleasant. Please avoid businesses like this. Its too bad because they have a good selection of clothes and Id like to return there.

Still the best place to purchase good rugged work wear. Started buying my Carhartts there 20 plus years back. Now my kids do, as do countless friends, past and present employees.. and the wife. Better than good customer service and for us contractor folks, a little incentive when our workers buy there too. Thanks, KJ of KJM

This place right here is where its at! The person run the store was nice and helpful. Trying to buy some over alls did not know what size I was. He told me just by looking at me. If you need good work clothes this is the place.

Best place around to grab my work gear. Carhartt selection is amazing. That older gentleman was very helpful and knowledgeable of his inventory. No need to go elsewhere. Thanks guys

This place has lots of great work clothes, but the person running the counter (owner?) and his attitude caused me to leave with out buying what I needed. I was permitted into the gated front door and asked to leave my bag at the counter. I browsed while he helped two other people at the counter. No major objection there, but when another person came to the gate, he told them he was closed and not open for another hour or so. I overheard him disparage that person to the other customers because he appeared homeless and was carrying a lot of bags. For the remainder of my short visit, and in loud conversation with the other customers he also praised the Trump wall and suggested that a customer that called asking for medical scrubs was not involved with work for real men. All with a polite and friendly demeanor. True, I dont agree with his politics, but I also dont want to do business with some one who acts one way towards people and then speaks disparagingly of them openly to other customers. Bad form for a salesperson and a business owner.

I walked into this establishment with my partner and watched who I presume to be the owner talk down to his female coworker in an alarmingly unprofessional and misogynistic way. We left immediately, feeling very uncomfortable. It was completely unacceptable, what a disgusting man. Such a shame, the selection seemed nice. Please purchase elsewhere, there are several shops similar to this in the bay are without a piggish man ranting behind the counter.

Good clothes, nice Western shirts, dudes kind of a weirdo, listens to right wing crazy radio all day every day, I think its made him paranoid, hence the reason behind the locked door and incredibly long chime EVERYTIME the door opens. If you can get beyond all that, its cool.

I used to endure the unfriendly attitude here -- ring the doorbell to enter, come in alone, leave your bag behind the counter -- because they carried my size. I dont think 29x32 is that weird. But they dont carry that size anymore so all we have left is the inconvenient hours and the bad vibe.

We were in need of LARGE sizes for several of our car club members. They took great care of us never got attitude about having to place a special order, unlike some other places we looked at, got our stuff in in the time frame promised and weve been doing business with them ever since. Also great that they have gotten us womens Dickies.

A great store. If there is anything work related you are looking for it can be ordered here. Be sure to ask if you dont see it on the shelves though with such a huge selection of Ben David and Cathcart that is not likely. The selection of work socks is super too.

I work for the Conservation Corps Northbay. I work on the trails in marin county, GGNRA, and MMWD. I need tough clothing for rough work. This place is my go to spot for Carhartt products and the owner is super helpful and a kind person in general. Dude had the place locked up during business hours. Came by early just to try steel toe shoes and he told me to come back at 12. Whats the point of advertising 10am opening?

The owner has always been helpful with my endless quest for larger sizes & different colors. Every time Ive been there he promptly assissted me and never once was squimish about helping a young black male: hes a good man. And i love the old-timey cash register!
