Brookside is a great, local company. We worked with them on getting a new bathroom vanity and the process was straightforward and their costs were great! We plan on being repeat customers as we look towards future home projects!

What a fantastic company. I have always heard good things about Brookside but my daughter needed wood for a deck during the Corona BS. They responded promptly with a quote. After deciding to get the order they scheduled delivery. The delivery driver was super friendly and helpful. Was willing to get the delivery as close as possible to our area of construction. The wood is top quality. Not any thing like the big box stores. We will definitely be future customers.

I have placed two orders through here now. They have had what I need or milled it to the specs. I made an enclosed garden from cedar and they provided top notch boards. A little pricey compared to big box, but nice lumber. Will do business again.

I just had a deck put on my house by Brookside and it was an awesome experience from start to finish! From the very beginning, Janet helped me plan out the deck I wanted and I literally did it all over email. She is amazing. When the workers came to build it, they were so nice and they had the deck done within 3 days! I highly recommend them for deck installations and will be using them again for future home projects! Best lumber yard in the South Hills. They are always very knowledgeable and friendly. A great selection of products and the prices are competitive. They have a small showroom with limited construction supplies so expect a second destination for all project needs.

This is a real lumberyard, not big box store lumber, good lumber. Whether its 2x4s, millwork, or maintenance free products, theyll have them or get them quickly for you.

So far so good. Sarah was really knowledgeable and patient with showing designs. There are many colors to choose from. It has been difficult to find what Ive been looking for but Brookside has it.

Personally, I have lived in BP my entire life and have never been into this place. Went for the 1st time yesterday to work with Monica on the remodel of my moma kitchen. She is AMAZING. I would consider her a magical measurement and cabinetry wizard. Her knowledge of the products that they sell and the different options available is really, really vast. I would recommend visiting her and having her guide you on your journey to a functional and beautiful kitchen!

Best lumber yard for miles around! As a professional remodeling contractor I have been dealing with Brookside Lumber, and their sister company Starr Lumber, for several years. They have always dealt with me in a very professional, helpful and efficient manner. Contrary to popular belief, their pricing is competitive with the big-box stores. Plus, the quality of the lumber and other materials, especially special order items, is much better than the big-boxes. The level of support is also far superior to any home store Ive ever dealt with. This is my favorite lumber yard and wish there were more branches spread throughout the greater Pittsburgh, PA area so I could deal with them more often.

This can be an unsure, scary, expensive time but she has guided me through this and made me feel confident and completely happy with my choices. Monica has given full attention to my remodel and Im a 100% sure I made the right choice over the Box stores who you cant even get on the phone.

I was surprised to find they would cut lumber to my requested dimensions. The price for this is a little steep, but if you need it and need it quick, its worth the money. They carry good quality lumber and the service is very good.

Very disappointed with Brookside Lumber. When asking about pricing they clearly state that they sell lumber by the board foot. With that in mind I chose my lumber (about 2.5 board feet each of maple and cherry) Once I checked out they charged by the linear foot and the cost doubled. Either they don’t understand what board footage is, or they take advantage of people. Either way, I was very disappointed.

Great lumber selection including specialties not available at other places. Friendly and prompt service both at the counter and in the lumberyard. They will gladly order anything for you that is not in stock, and will have it in just a few days.

Might as well go here first. Every time we look at Home Depot or Lowes for trim they never have what we need. Brookside always does and usually less expensive.Help is always courteous and knowledgeable.

This is a great lumber supply company. The prices may be a little high, but the quality is much better than other places. One of the few places around that has hardwood lumber.

These guys are the best. Yes prices are higher than the big box store, but the quality of lumber and variety is exceptional. Further, on more than one occasion, they have suggested cheaper alternatives than what I thought I needed such as finger jointed trim for a painted project and poplar rather than the more expensive clear pine. I am a reasonably knowledgeable DIYer, and these guys are the best including recommending contractors for projects that I either choose not to take on or do not feel prepared to take on. Just what a person like me needs.

I liked this place before, this time we came 10 min before 7pm, their closing time. The sale person was terrible, wont answer my questions, wont show me the products. Got us out in 5 min and locked the door behind us. When we unloaded the pickets they were all dirty, covered in saw dust and different thickness (?). Shouldve gone to Lowes, their prices are the same, but clean. Wrote a to a manager, he is working on it. Very unsatisfying experience, never coming back.

30 years Brookside Lumber is probably the cheapest and most reasonable place youll ever get to go to the work with you on prices and if they cant beat it they will sure as hell match it service unbelievable talking old-time hardware lumber store theyre all out to help you never once do they give you a hard time if a product needs returned they take it no problem
