Great music store with a lot of stuff. I can’t wait for my new custom banjo to be finished!Update 10/24/19: my new banjo was finished a few weeks ago and I Have enjoyed it so much! It has the best sound of any banjo I’ve tried and you can’t beat the weight of the featherlight performance banjo which is the one I got. I highly recommend anybody looking into a banjo to definitely get one of these!!

Had a Gibson SG refinished here and it’s was terrible. Very patchy and uneven coverage. Worst of all was the headstock. I am a little perplexed though, they have many great reviews and other great pictures. The folks there were nice, decent selection of guitars for sale, no other complaints. I’m not sure why my guitar came out so bad.

Robert was kind enough to do a free truss adjustment on my new HD28 and will be doing a setup on my wifes Eastman mandolin. Great little shop and fun to visit.

I walked in with a question about a guitar I already owned and the manager was very helpful. Led me through the buying process while being sensitive to my budget and ability. He didnt try to upsell me on the fanciest guitar or any gadgets, just honest and helpful to get me what I needed. I will definitely be returning here for my future needs.

Got a fret dress done thinking the buzz was coming from the frets but it was actually coming from the tail piece so wont be able use the guitar in any pro recording environment until I can get a new stoptail installed. after 2 repairs from them I wish someone would have noticed the tail piece was bent causing a high pitch sitar like sound because of how the strings were sitting on the bent tail piece.

Needed some information on pricing a pickup and installing one very helpful and honest you need to check them out

I attended a country music event at Randy Woods Picking Studio (behind the restaurant adjacent to the guitar shop) and found the atmosphere cozy and the 4 musicians talented.I was surprised how small the crowd was considering Buddy Jewel was the featured songwriter / singer. I think $49 was perhaps too expensive for the area.The guitar shop itself has some beautiful hand made guitars and you can watch the craftsmen at work.

I was so happy I went here! I was initially hesitant as I just had a cheap ukelele I needed a string for and thought they would laugh at me :). But they were FANTASTIC!! Made me feel at home, friendly, helpful, and down to earth. Extremely knowledgeable and more than willing to share their knowledge. I was in total awe. Old fashioned customer service that you just dont find anymore. I will make up excuses just to go back. Highly recommend!!

Randy Wood is our family’s one-stop shop for any kind of bluegrass instrument repair. Just this past week they adjusted the neck, refretted, and restringed a Martin D28 guitar for us. The guitar has never felt or sounded so great! Very pleased with their work and will definitely be back.

This is a great place! Randy Wood is a world-famous instrument builder and he he built me two beautiful custom Feather Light performance banjos. We also come to him for parts and maintenance for all of our other bluegrass instruments. The Saturday afternoon jams are also a lot of fun! Stop in here- you won’t be disappointed.

I am a Percussionist (Conga player) one of my instrument is a rainstick (a percussion instrument made from a dried cactus branch that is hollowed out, filled with small pebbles, and capped at both ends. When slightly tilted, it makes the sound of falling rain). It was broken by accident by one of my relatives, it was priceless to me. A friend said try Randy Woods and I am so glad I did. Randy is now No. 1 on my list, you can hardly see where it was broke.

In 1971 I bought my guitar. It is now 45+ year old. I thought was fodder for the fireplace. Randy had it for a week and now it plays like the day I bought it.

I took a guitar there that had fallen off the stand and broke the head of the neck. They where able to fix it and it looks brand new.

Best Luthier I was seen..lived in guyton a few years back almost bought a Kramer off him..had some pickupsprings missing brought it to him..no charge..he has the best gibson collections ever..and his personal randy wood guitars or mandolins are something of master pieces..glad I got to meet this fine gentlemen..wish I could become his pupil. Love to be his apprentice
