Our shopping experience at Ivan Smith in Bossier City could not have gone any better. From the time we stepped in the store to the day they delivered our furniture, everything went flawlessly. First, our salesman, Eric Hewitt didnt try to pressure us into buying anything. He basically showed us what we had described to him, and then answered all of our questions. The delivery process was wonderful. We set up a delivery date a week ahead of time, then one day before the delivery date we got a call from Ivan Smith just verifying our delivery for the next day. Then on the next day, we got another call telling us that the delivery truck would be at our house in approx. 10 minutes and exactly 10 minutes later they pulled in the drive. The furniture we bought was fairly large and they had to bring it thru a narrow hallway from the garage that led into the house and the two gentleman that brought everything in were super careful not to damage anything.. Once they got it in the house, they set everything up for us. The guys were extremely nice, very respectful. Wish I could remember their names but I do remember they were driving truck number CD 9. I believe one of them was named Devan. The entire process, from the minute we walked into the store to the minute they delivered our furniture was smooth and easy. Great experience.

I went there looking for a bedroom set and in my honest opinion the furniture was very tasteless, it was either brown or rustic white there was nothing elegant about any of it, not only the furniture but also the decor. There was one sales lady that was very friendly I believe her name was Susan. Ivan Smith use to have great furniture as far as style, colors and comfort but I was so disappointed.

Everything promised happened. Love the bed and the crew that delivered and set it up arrived at designated time. They were pleasant and efficient.I love this bed and it really dressed up my room

Customer service was great, we weren’t there very long, I have already been looking online and knew exactly what I wanted! We picked out the price we wanted took a picture of the price cardWhich also had the sku # on it because it seemed like we had walked two miles to find what we wanted and showed customer service and because we took the picture we didn’t have to walk back the picture had everything she needed to write the sale up… it was delivered the following week and the delivery crew was just as polite as in the sale room.Just remember the sliding doors may be tight and not exactly on the rail but after a couple of slides they will loosen up and will slide just as easy as they do in the show room…

Wonderful place! I told them exactly what appliance I was looking for and they took me exactly to it. When they were out of stock they found the appliance from a sister store and had it shipped, delivered, and installed (it was extra to have it delivered and installed of course) to my home. Very happy with my new dryer!

Overall it was a good experience. I was disappointed that my sales person got called away during our time together, for another customer in the showroom. We never really got to conclude my transaction together. I have shopped at Ivan Smith for years. I purchased a new mattress and box springs this visit. It was delivered on time, without incident, as promised. The delivery guys were very nice and respectful as well. I would like to see some more diverse styles added in the showroom, rather than just what is trendy.

Sell woman showed us exactly what we were looking for. Showed off the store and found exactly what we were looking for. Delivery men brought the item in took care of it so that it would not be damaged. Very polite and put it exactly where we wanted it. Ill be buying from them again when I need more furniture. Im married which probably means Ill be keeping Ivan Smith in business forever.

When we first went into the store, we passed a couple folks doing nothing it seemed to us, and they did not even acknowledge us, much less offer help. But a lady up front paged help for us. Then we got a man who really knew his business and helped me purchase good recliner for myself. I need one that will stand up to wear as I am in it a lot due to illness. So, I am giving you a 5 because I feel we DID get 5-star level service once we got a salesperson.

We had a great experience with this location. Nick was the person helping us. We came in twice. The first time we were just browsing, we came in a week later and he recognized us. We just moved back here and needed several pieces of furniture. We got a new couch, new kitchen table, a new mattress, and new adjustable base. We will definitely be back to this location in the future if need any more furniture.

We love our saleslady, Dani. Our new furniture is exactly what we wanted and it fits great in the space. Dani was very knowledgeable with her products and she was NOT pushy. Mayo furniture is very comfy. The only problem. We decided to pick up our furniture instead of having it delivered for a fee. When we picked it up it was wrapped well in plastic, which was great. Once home we unwrapped and found 2 nail heads missing. I called and they can add the nail heads, but I would either have to bring this over size chair and ottoman in to be fixed OR I can pay a service fee of $60. They will warranty, but only this way. All because I chose to save the delivery fee. Had they delivered it would have been covered.

I recently bought a loveseat and JP was a great salesman! My experience was great. However, my mother recently purchased a mattress from Ivan Smith in Bossier. Her salesman, Kevin Peter, was not so wonderful. She had a defective mattress that sunk over and inch and a half within a couple of months. She asked for a refund and was told no. Even though that mattress was discontinued by the manufacturer. He refused to give her a refund. He did give her $100.00 off her next purchase of another brand of mattress for her inconvenience.... after my mother asked him for a discount 4 times! So, I wouldnt say customer satisfaction is a priority for Ivan Smith. Or, not for Kevin Peter, anyway.

Where to begin is the question, We bought a mattress with the warranty and we had to exchange it so we also did an upgrade on top Mattress due to they kept telling my husband he didnt need to replace box springs due to they are new and my husband said are you sure due to upgrade on mattress and they assured him that we will still be covered on warranty well they lied here we are needing a new mattress and for them to tell us its not warranty due to we didnt upgrade the box springs . So on top of this we ordered a kitchen table online e from them and got a message it will be delivered on the 25 of June and we where ok with that well they never called or anything so I called today on the 28th for them to say its been pushed back until July 9th which is a bunch of BS . I would not recommend this company to anyone. Customer service email dont even respond to you so dont even bother there either. This company has went down so much its best to shop else where .

Walked in, greeted immediately, asked if we needed any help we said we wanted power recline sofa, we got directed to what we wanted to see, got to look and wasn’t pressured by standing there but was around close enough to be able to ask question. We were able to get the sofa and love seat we couldn’t believe how great it is and it was in stock (other store are back order months) we got it delivered in three days amazing place!

Coleman at Ivan Smith is such a great salesperson! Having just moved to Louisiana and knowing that I had no furniture at all for my apartment, Coleman did everything he could to make sure my furniture got delivered before I started my new job. Otherwise delivery times would have been more difficult to coordinate, and my apartment would have been empty for weeks. I cannot thank Coleman enough for going above and beyond to make sure everything was set up for me, especially considering the back up of furniture production and delivery from covid!

Absolutely love my GE Profile Refrigerator. It exceeds my expectations and I cant find a single flaw in it. Spacious, good lighting and layout. Arrived earlier than anticipated and delivery was prompt and professional. Dani was great to work with, too.

I purchase the Brewhouse Livingroom Set from Ivan Smith Furniture. Love the material mix of Chocolate faux leather and cognac upholstery. I love the nail head trim and love, love, love the accent pillows!!! The only problem I have is the seat area is not very sturdy. I only had furniture a month and the seat area dips down. I love to have my furniture forever but doesnt seem its going to last to long!

Selecting and purchasing was great. That is where it ended. Warranty service is a joke. Ivan Smith as a whole doesn’t know there left from right and I think those who work in the service department and warehouse can’t read or look at pictures the right way. I can honestly say that we will never deal with Ivan Smith or Ashley stores ever again. There are plenty of other furniture stores around Shreveport/Bossier City area to choose from.

I was very impressed with their inventory! Tameka checked me out was very kind and even told me of local food spot as we just moved here! Lastly, Thomas loaded my new dry-bar-to-be and he made sure it was roped well and even added a few empty boxes to keep it from bouncing around! Overall, great experience, great customer service, and great prices! I will be back for more pieces!

I think its important to shop local business and Ivan Smith is a three generation family owned business. The sales and delivery staff is courteous, knowledgeable and very eager to assist the customer. The furniture is well made and priced reasonably. I would definitely buy from Ivan Smith again.

Customer service was great during the purchase. After they received the money it went down hill. We arranged delivery on my husbands only day off, they were unable to deliver that day because they sent the furniture to the wrong location. We arranged another day for delivery but stated it would have to be after work. They said that wasnt an issue they made us the last delivery of the day. Today I get a call at work, they finished their deliveries early. I told them I would be home by 5. Deliveries went til 6. They met my 14 year old daughter in the driveway at 330 after speaking to me. This all could have been avoided if they would have gotten the delivery correct the first time. I guess next time I go to a furniture store to make such a large purchase, I will avoid Ivan Smith.

I usually deal with a salesman named JP in Bossier City, LA and he has always been very pleasant to work with and does his best to give me the best deals possible. I purchased a complete bedroom set from Ivan Smith in Bossier City, LA and after it was delivered I noticed a problem with the king bed and immediately called. The salesman asked me to email him pictures and or a video of the damage which I did. I had to call him to verify that he received my email. The lady that answered the phone was EXTREMELY rude like she didn’t want to be there but he told me he did and that he passed it on to his manager and someone would be giving me a call to either replace or repair the bed. After not hearing from anyone in a week I emailed him again and this time I let him know that I haven’t heard from anyone and that he charged us for a warranty without even discussing it with us. He did immediately call and said nothing about the warranty but he did tell me that he had looked at the bed on the floor and it had the same issues as to suggest that’s how the bed is but if I wanted he would have the service department to give me a call and I told him that yes I want them to call me and I want my bed fixed or replaced. What he was trying to say did not make any sense at all. That one molding on the headboard has a gap but the other one is fine and that one molding on the footboard wiggles but the molding on the other side is perfectly fine and does not move at all.I’m very disappointed at Ivan Smith but nonetheless I want my bed fixed or replaced.

Delivery has been easy to set up and confirm, they even can send an e-mail with basic tracking information about where your order is / what stop you are along the delivery route so you are better informed. Plus their delivery gentlemen are courteous and professional, make sure no damage to your purchases.Prices are competitive, maybe not the lowest you could find online, but buying local offers some peace of mind.Nice staff, especially like working with Victor for sales. Got a great deal on book case + sofa w/ chaise at their anniversary sale. Checkout was easy now that you can receive e-mailed receipts. Delivery was on time the day that it was scheduled, delivery pros were courteous and made sure everything was set up in good order and in good condition. Ivan Smith sets the standard for this area.
