After having a pretty bad experience at the Yokem service center within walking in, I drive all the way back across town to John Harvey & Jennifer Lases quickly came right out to see what I needed. She took great care of me! They have a full drink bar for customers and a vending machine for purchasing snacks. I will defiantly be returning to her as a service advisor for my car! I will say I have gone to Yokem service because I bought my care from Robert and he took such great care of me & the last time I came to John Harvey techs scratched my rims all up when changing the tires. Well because of the tech doing this again here at John Harvey they are only getting 4 start review. But Jennifer was amazing, polite, friendly & just made the experience work returning! Thank you ! I rate Jennifer a 5/5 starts and the techs 3/5 stars this is the second time they have damaged my rims.
Doesn’t honor warranties even warranties you purchase from them separate from new car warranty. Purchased tire warranty a screw got in tire was told warranty didn’t cover it and charged for a tire. Later when reported when I was told by the finance guy it was covered was yelled at by the service manager asking why I didn’t tell them I had a warranty. I did I wouldn’t by a tire from Toyota on my own account it’s too expensive. I wouldn’t have even went to them without the warranty. They never refunded me for the tire or the warranty purchase. Rude on the phone. If you buy a car here be prepared to just put it in the garage because if something happens you will be told it was because you were driving it. Go to a better dealer to purchase and service your automobile this place is a waste of time, money, and worry.

Giving 3 stars because I still like Toyota vehicles, but after buying two from John Harvey, the third will be from another dealership.Our salesman for both vehicles was Will. He was always pushy and a little condescending, but we let it slide simply because we do love Toyota. However, the latest experience ensures we will not be back.We wanted to trade the Camry for a SUV and our first stop was to see Will again. He showed us a Highlander, and it was definitely a nice car, but a little more than I wanted to spend for the car I would be using for rideshare. We ended up going with a Honda CR-V and let Will know that we went with another option but would definitely see him soon as I trade cars far too often. Later that day he continues to call my wife and I over and over, but we were attending an event and chose not to answer the phone. When we did answer later, we said again thanks for everything, but this time we went with another option. He starts going off about how stupid our decision was and his car is so much better. My wife told him that we do like Toyota and would be back to see him, at which point he lets out an audible sigh and actually hangs up on us.Ok, no problem Will... Well see if Yokem has salesmen with a better attitude. Have a nice day.
This is my second vehicle with John Harvey Toyota and same salesperson Steven Engel. He made the whole experience easy and uncomplicated. Very transparent about the whole car buying process. Walked through every new feature of the vehicle before leaving the parking lot. Do NOT hesitate to give Steven Engel a call, you won’t regret it!!
I bought my car and have serviced it faithfully at John Harvey, but I have come for the last time. I have been lied to, made to wait an excessive amount of time for service on multiple occasions, and been treated rudely for the last time.
By far the best dealership I’ve done business with! Sales department is helpful and honest. The service department has always been great to work with. They do good work, are priced fairly, and most importantly they are honest. If I could give this dealership another star I would.

Stay away from this dishonest crooked dealership!I signed a 36 month on a 2019 Toyota TRD Sport, John Harvey Toyota in Bossier City LA. I did not know the vehicle had a safety recall or class action lawsuit over a fuel pump issue. Then 6 months into the lease, the truck started sputtering and died on the road. Then at the 9 month mark it started doing it every couple days and dying on the highways, intersections,and on streets. I Took it to dealership for another recall and told Diane and another guy it was unsafe and dying on highways and intersections. She was very rude and condescending and said there was nothing they could do and needed to drive it until it died and wouldn’t start anymore. They said there was no loaner or rental I would get, I would have to figure a replacement out until they figured out how to fix it. They knowingly sent me out in an unsafe vehicle and they knew was dying on highways and intersections. Today it died for good at intersection and had to have it towed to the dealer. I called the dealer, they said it was to late in the day and I’d have to figure out my own transportation, Even though they have a car lot full of cars. 🤯🤬Then on Monday, they are trying to say it’s fixed but Toyota hasn’t come out with a fix yet, so they are trying to send me away in an unsafe vehicle once again that is stalling out on highways and intersections.

IMPRESSIVE! Jeff Reeves, my salesperson, delivered my new car to me which was 1 and 1/2 hours away from the dealership. The service in purchasing my new Camry was ABOVE and BEYOND. Starting with the receptionist, Jeff Reeves my salesperson, Tim the sales manager, Deundre the finance officer, and Coach, they were all professional, warm and very welcoming. After several hours of test driving vehicles, figuring the best financial option; they were extremely patient and pleasant to work with. The Camry I chose had to be located at another dealership, so I was not able to get it that day. Very Impressed to have it delivered to me.
3rd strike you’re out John Harvey!!! After 10 years of business, 3 cars, & $1000’s of dollars in normal maintenance spent with you, it’s over! Waited 2hr for a battery to be installed. That was the last straw, 2 other times I’ve had issues all as a result of BILL!!! Listen folks John Harvey has always been very fair priced, pleasant employees until I started dealing with BILL in the service department, just ask for Darlene Mill she’s the best. Mr. Billy Jones is an awesome Service Advisor. He is always courteous and professional. He goes above and beyond to ensure that his customers are taken care of. He keeps you informed on whats going on with your vehicle and he doesnt try to make you pay for extra work that is not needed. I highly recommend this place for service!
Visiting the John Harvey Toyota dealership was one of the worst experiences I’ve ever had in the car searching process. I knew exactly what I wanted and they had the vehicle in their possession, which was great for me, or so I thought. The car was hail damaged in the recent storms and is currently in the shop being sanded down and repainted making the car a damaged vehicle. I was excited on sitting down and working a deal on this car since it is the only car with exactly the package I want in 5 surrounding states. The COVID knocked out production so this is the last go I have at getting this car more local. We sit down to work out a deal and the total price they will come off of this damaged car is $77. They continue to explain to me that this car will not be damaged after it gets out of the shop. Excuse me, but yes it will be and I know I can’t even look at this car because it’s in the shop as we speak. I didn’t get ugly although I would have liked to, and I’m not much of a negative review writing person, but I just wanted to let the next person that was looking for a 2020 Rav4 Awd white in color they have the only one around this area and it is damaged. However, they claim that this information will not show on CarFax so good luck.

John Harvey is a great place to buy a Toyota. Its true. Because when you buy your car there, and maintain service there the people are wonderful. I just recently found out my Prius needs a new brake booster pump assembly ($4400 in parts+labor). I went home to cope with that news and figure out what was the next best move. I get a call the next day telling me they found something on my car they didnt realize was there. The original owner purchased a pretty kick ass extended warranty plan. It covers the cost of my brakes 100% at no cost whatsoever to me and Toyota is gonna put me in a loaner car since theyll need mine for an entire day.They didnt charge me to just listen to my car to help diagnose the problem. Theyre friendly, theyll work with you, and above all, your concerns are their concerns. They really do care about maintaining a relationship with their customers, not just selling em something.Will always ALWAYS use John Harvey Toyota in Bossier City!!
I was looking for a Toyota Highlander of a certain color and John Harvey was one of the two dealerships who had one. The sales person I dealt with was Jonathan Phillips who was very kind and experienced. I was very pleased with all the staff at the dealership and then made me the best deal out of all the places Ive visited. He is awesome! First, we bought a 2012 Tundra on August 31, 2012 - this experience was more than pleasurable. Next, we bought a 2013 Corolla for our daughter - this experience went far beyond the expected services - both I and her father were out of town, we practically bought this car site unseen. My husband and I had a wonderful experience when we bought our Tacoma. Our salesman, Cody Johnson, was very helpful in making the final decisions about color, etc. He helped entertain our baby as well! I highly recommend him. The finance department was also very nice and helpful. Everything went smoothly and I felt things were handled in a timely manner.

My service contact was Darlene Miller and she was absolutely wonderful! Ms Miller explained the service process and made sure that I knew what to expect. The service was completed much faster than I expected and there were no surprise costs, I will definitely continue to obtain. My service from the dealership and will be sticking with them when its time to purchase my next vehicle as well.
John David Hebert made buying a vehicle super easy. He was courteous, prompt and over all friendly. I also just used Mun Kelly for a service issue and she too was very pleasant to deal with. Toyota definitely has a customer for life!
I dropped my 4Runner off this morning at 0715 with an appointment made the day prior. Fast forward to 3:30pm and 4 phone calls later and they finally admit that they never even got to my vehicle. The service managers excuse was that they were really busy today and short handed. That might have been forgivable earlier in the day when I asked for a status and told that they would look into it. Instead I get the run around and my time wasted (and no calls back). I understand that bad things happen sometimes but be truthful to your customers and keep them informed so they can decide on the best course of action. Dont attempt to hide behind the we were so busy excuse. Im an adult so Im always busy so that excuse really doesnt fly when it was clearly more that just being too busy in this case. Add to all of this no attempt to rectify the situation. It might be time to retrain the service manager on customer service skills. Today it was just plain bad customer service.Edit: I received a call from Travis Harvey starting with an apology for the way I was treated and a request for another opportunity to make things right. I accepted and after a lot of work my vehicle was fixed and they gained a repeat customer. Thank you Travis Harvey.
I always get great Service when I take it to John Harvey Toyota. Like I told my new Service tech it it easier for me to take it to the dealership and get my Service done there than go to a parts store and do it myself. I am like this, if you have a Toyota use Toyota oil and a Toyota filter. If it needs more than that the Toyota dealership can handle it cause I know it will get done tight. I do my new motorcycle the same way.....have a blessed day
Bought a 2009 Toyota Avalon from this company. When coming home insead Of it being clean there wash trash all under and between the seat after they claimed they took it to the back to be cleaned. Inexperienced car salesman’s. Staff doesn’t explain anything in detail. I’ve always done business with yokem Toyota and have always been beyond satisfied but we were close to bossier so we decided to give John Harvey a chance. Biggest mistake ever. Nasty, rude, inexperienced. If I could give zero stars I would. I recommend Yokem Toyota
We just purchased a vehicle from them Tuesday. And the salesperson Lance as great. Really down to earth and helped us find what we were looking for. Johnny was our financial guy and he was able to work with our bank and get our payments where we needed them which helped us out so much! We did have a problem on the way home and my car died on me. I took it back up there and it ended up being a sensor which they got it taken care of thankfully. I would use them again after having the good customer serviceUpdate to my good review I tried so hard to write. In the 3 months since buying my car it has to go in the shop AGAIN. On top of spending all day in bossier trying to get it in the shop, we find out the 100,000 mile powertrain warranty we were told we have when we signed the papers on my car doesnt exist! We were completely lied to! Im sorry but I would never recommend this place to anyone wanting to buy a car. We went there trusting to find a good family car for our very small children and all we have had I said problems. And being lied to.. I cannot even begin to say my frustration now.
Billy Jones at John Harvey Toyota replaced a part in a recall. He arranged to pick up and return our vehicle when we could not make a scheduled visit. The service was completed in a day and we were extremely satisfied with the help he provided. I appreciate him having the car washed also. He went above and beyond to make it easy for us to have the service done.
Salesmen are helpful without being overbearing and will give you room if you want it. Quick to answer any questions. Service area is great and will try to make things as easy as possible on you and your pocketbook

I would give 0 stars if i could. i found a vehicle online for 23995. i called john harvey toyota and after several phone calls got a hold of what i thought was the sales man. he informed me he was the sales manager and that the salespeople were busy. i thought no problem, i get to deal with the boss. i told him the stock number of the vehicle i wanted to purchase and asked if it was available. he gave me his cell phone number, took mine and said he would call me back. he called me back and said it was available. i told him i would purchase it and asked what kind of non refundable deposit he wanted. he said 500 would be fine. i gave him my card information and told him how i would like it titled. i then asked him if there would be other administrative fees other than the 23995. he said hold on. he then came back and told me that he was mistaken and the vehicle had sold earlier that day. i thought this was kind of strange because he had taken the time earlier to make sure it was still available. i kept the info and low and behold, one and a half weeks later it is back online at the price of 33995. 10000 higher. if it was a mispricing he could have just told me. i know its just the fact its a right hand drive jeep that they dont make anymore and he wanted to make 10k more. i will be contacting the louisianna motor vehicle comission about this. i have saved all of the documentation.do not buy from these people. they are crooks.

Very nice people but very pricey on their repairs. My parts were $250 and the labor was $630 for the replacement of a wheel bearing. But they did get it fixed.
Alister Ambler did an awesome job on finding the vehicle I wanted. He even impressed my husband with the final product, which NEVER happens. There was no pressure to buy, no gimmicks, no added/hidden costs. They even matched the discount I get through my job.

My husband decided he was more than ready to get out of a gas hog V8 4x4 and into a smaller, more efficient truck. After shopping at a few dealerships from Shreveport to Marshall, we finally made our decision to purchase a Tacoma from John Harvey. We found through our research, that they do not really have a lot of room to deal on these trucks, but felt that the deal we received was fair. We enjoyed the very friendly staff and everyone there was helpful and wanted to be sure we were happy and satisfied. I had heard negative views about this dealership and was surprised to find it was not a bad place at all. They have a business culture that makes it enjoyable to do business with them.

Bought a used vehicle from John Harvey,within 2 days I had to have a tow truck pick it up and take it to the shop!!! Called John Harvey and left a message for the used car manager no answer...called again new car manager picked up and said he would relay the message but still no call back!!! At the end of the day I paid out of pocket for tow truck and repairs for a vehicle I didnt have a whole week!!! Bad customer service...
Whenever I have my car serviced at John Harvey Toyota...Darlene Miller is my service writer and she is very knowledgeable and professional. At my last appt. Darlene was at lunch so I met Travis. I did not get his last name but I think he may have been the service manager. I must say I was very impressed with his attitude and the practical help he gave me. While I was there I also met Roger who was the person who serviced my car. I think he may have been a supervisor in the shop. So happy with John Harvey and their professional staff.
Had an appointment for servicing my Toyota Highlander. Andrew Barrow was the Service Tech and he met us right on time and I must say our vehicle was back to us before we could hardly finish our fountain drink inside. Great Service by Andrew and the shop! Couldnt ask for better servicing!

We purchased our vehicle in August. We were told to call our salesman Norman if our plates didnt arrive in six weeks. My wife called Norman who was on vacation but said he would get back to her. I guess hes still on vacation. I called a week ago and was told there was a mix up. We were sent two five day extension plates and was told the plate was going to be at our house Wednesday. Today Friday I called to complain and cant get Supervisor to answer an extension. Hope they have s great weekend because the plate expires Sunday. I did get a call back hopefully the plate will be here next week. Then Im done.

If I could give them less, I would. We bought our car in August and still do not have the registration. The person we were dealing with repeatedly lied to us and told us she was handling it. She also said she would call us back, but she rarely ever did. We had to call her for any updates or new information. It wasnt until I called a friend at the South Carolina DMV (where we are registered), found out there had been NO activity in SC for that VIN#, that infuriated me and I decided to take it to a corporate level. 5 minutes after I called corporate she calls me and tells me that is done and on its way! Magic, huh? What is even more magic is that we still dont have it and she told me it would be here by last Friday. Now she has no clue where it is. Thankfully, I am in SC and can walk into the DVM to get a copy. The best part is that I no longer have to deal with her!! I wouldnt recommend them to anyone I know. They obviously do not know a thing about customer relations... or transferring a tag.
Darlene Miller is a great service advisor! She has always gone over and above to take care of my familys Tundra and Sequoia. She is very knowledgable and I trust her advice concerning our vehicles service.
I sat in there for over three hours for them to tell me I didnt have a strong enough cosigner. If we can purchase a 2014 Jeep Patriot we should be able to purchase a 2003 wrangler. This dealership doesnt want to finance older vehicles, they want you to buy something you cant afford

I recently bought a new Tacoma from John Harvey Toyota (my 5th vehicle from them in 10 years) and the process was great. I did all of the research before I went to the dealership, and they were able to BEAT my target price without much haggling with The Manager. I feel as if I always get a good deal at John Harvey Toyota and the service is always good. I will continue to purchase vehicles from them whenever I need a new Toyota.
As always my experience as a customer was wonderful. Andrew Barrow had my info up and ready before I even walked through the door. He was friendly and welcoming and I appreciate that.
The service was actually decent. The only thing that really irritated me was that the service department lost my engine cover. I know for a fact it was on my car the day before I brought it in there because we checked the battery... then when we get our car back and open the hood again... the engine cover was gone. I called and no one could find it. I wouldnt be as upset if this wasnt a $200 dollar part that I now have to come out of pocket for, yet I was not the one that lost it. For that reason, I probably wont be back... that part of it seemed unorganized. How could you forget something like that?
Darlene Miller was an excellent technician as usual. She made sure my vehicle was serviced and she told me the next preventative maintenance measures my vehicle will require. She explained everything that was done to my vehicle and I didnt have to wait all day. I will continue to take my car to Darlene.

I have a 2010 FJ Crusier which blows headlights on a regular basis. I called Service and they suggested I come in and buy Toyota replacement bulbs. Bearing in mind, I can buy two top of the line Sylvania bulbs at OBriens for roughly $50...one Toyota bulb at John Harvey was $48. The two girls at the parts counter.....one might know a little of what she was doing and the other was totally lost. Seriousky doubt I will ever go to John Harvey for anything ever again.
William gun has helped me out on two different occasions when Ive come into the John Harvey Toyota dealership for service. I did not have an appointment and came in for my 5000 mile check up on my RAV4 it was a very smooth and pleasant experience. I was in and out in about an hour and 15 minutes. The waiting area and hospitality area is very nice.

Terrible customer service and experience. They pray on young people to take advantage of them with high interest rates and high monthly payments. And they obviously don’t take you seriously if you don’t appear to be over 30 or be a white male. This is a known fact. Definitely will never return.
