One of my favorite stores! This is a Boulder shopping experience. The materials are sumptuous, the colors are gorgeous and the service is top notch! I just love coming into this store and being greeted by the beautiful owner and her lovely daughters. Such nice ladies and it is always a good thing to shop local. The scarves and shawls are my weakness. The colors are so beautiful and the fabrics are soft and luxurious. I get compliments on every item I have from this shop and I really enjoy how each item is unique and has its own story. Maruta has told me not only where the wool from each shawl came from but occasionally the specific village which tends the sheep and then dyes the wool and weaves the shawl. It gives the piece a global connection and enhances my appreciation for all of the hard work that goes into creating those beautiful textiles. This is the perfect locally owned business to treat yourself and to find great unique gifts.

Gypsy Jewel is probably my most favorite store in all the world. When we moved to Boulder a few years ago I by chance went in one day, I mean its hard to walk by and not go in. They have the most eclectic and beautiful collection of jewelry Ive ever seen. Its treasure upon treasure. What makes it even better is the wonderful and caring family who owns the store. They are always connecting and always so full of love. Now that weve moved to Austin, every time I need a gift, or want a gift for myself Gypsy Jewel is always the place I want to go! Dont pass this place by, I promise you wont regret it!

I have been shopping here for my wife over the past 5 years and I can say this jewelry shop is the best. In addition, its more than a shop its a destination for finding that amazing unique piece for your daughter, wife and loved one. The selection of specialized jewelry is second to none in Boulder. I can always find something so beyond the norm for my wife here! The owner and her two daughters make my shopping experience fun and exciting!

A fantastic down to earth family that brings quality goods from the original source. They see the entire production line and look for an discrepancies in relationship to fair prices from the producer, to them, to the consumer. An integral part of the community they do far more than just basic retail. You will love the store!

A fabulous, family run, import and jewelry shop. Beautiful textiles, shawls, rings, necklaces, bangles and so much more. The owner is friendly and approachable and is always happy to talk about her travels in India and Nepal. The kind of shop you dont see much nowadays, where you can go and chat with people like the way record stores used to be.

This store is worth the drive to Boulder! My family knows anything from this store is a perfect gift for me, but when my teenage son wanted to buy a special ring, the sales clerk was so patient and kind showing tray after tray, learning his taste and his small budget, until the perfect ring was found! Service, quality, and heart!!

My favorite family owned and run shop packed full of hand picked treasures from around the Himalayas and Nepal. Personally, when it comes to shopping for my mother (or any other female), Gypsy Jewel has always had the perfect gift. Whether or not Im getting jewelry (rings: they have oh so many rings!!!), silk scarves, ear rings, pillows, throws, and so much more - I always find the perfect gift with the help of the warm, cozy, and enchanted environment. Whenever you find yourself on the west side of Boulder, do yourself a favor and check it out.

Had a great experience doing a little holiday shopping! Friendly staff took the time to look through their inventory with me to find two different gifts that look to be a big hit.I found a great ring for my wife and a set of the most comfortable hand warmers that may be a gift for me... They provided the same level of attention to everyone of their customers while I was in the store as well. Definitely worth looking around to see if they have something for you, a true jewel on West Pearl in Boulder!!!

I LOVE this family business! Everything from the welcoming Tibetan bench-swing outside, to the vast world of beauty and good taste within, echoed by genuine, informative, and caring customer service; Gypsy Jewel represents the very best of Boulder! We have been frequenting the store for years, and found nothing but beauty and enchantment in the exquisite Nepalese, Tibetan and Indian art, jewelry, and textiles; and gratitude for the personal relationship the owners have with each and every item in stock, and knowledge of its history, creators, and culture. My strongest recommendation!

I, on the other hand, have loved this family business for about 10 years. They are a hidden gem in boulder, with one of the largest collection of rare stones and jewelry. I have been greeted with smiles every time I walk in the door and, on the contrary, have found that they are very willing to spend hours with me finding just the perfect thing. I know they spare no expense because of the merchandise that Ive never even heard of. I know they used to be on the other side of the walking mall and theyve been in business for at least ten years. Poor customer service doesnt last long on pearl st. People dont get online and write reviews when they are satisfied, only when they are upset. Theres a reason no one has been upset with this store enough to write a bad review in ten years. Everyone should try this place. Best hidden gem in boulder. You wont regret it

This little shop is seriously amazing! The owner is one of the nicest, realist people Ive ever met, she knows so much about all of her inventory and you can really tell its a place that she puts her heart and soul into. Its my favorite place to shop for rings, I believe all of her rings are made in Nepal, and theyll lever turn your fingers green. She has cases of them, and shopping for the perfect ring is such a lovely experience because she lets you pick out all of the ones youre flirting with and then narrow it down at the end. I usually stick to her small rings that are 25 dollars, but if you have more money to spend on a ring, she has some gorgeous designs and stones, so many rings to choose from! I would recommend to everyone! Perfect place to buy some gifts for loved ones or just to spoil yourself!

Sells FAKE stones! The amber ring my husband bought me, and paid way too much for, is FAKE! I couldnt believe it. I suggest others get theirs tested. Also, 3 of the 5 rings I purchased, broke within 2 months. I loved this store at first! I hope to bring awareness with this review. I so badly dont want anyone else to spend an exorbitant amount of money on fake stones. I believe in the healing powers of stones and crystals, and never want to believe that someone could be dishonest, that works with such. Please! Spare yourself disappointment and upset and test your pieces before purchasing.

Wander over to the west end of Pearl Street, fortify yourself with a great cup of coffee from Spruce Bakery, then cross the street and enter the portal of Gypsy Jewel. Its a world onto its own, attended by beautiful artistic women who will weave stories about the objects in the store - just ask. There are gifts there for every budget. I can bring my nieces in, who will happily load their arms up with glass bracelets from India, and the total bill is under $10. Or there are exquisite earrings and necklaces fit for a Maharaja and his wives, scarves of the finest yarns that feel like clouds around ones neck, and hidden little treasures waiting to be discovered - all under the benevolent eyes of a giant Ganesh who sits in the corner. There is even a fine carved swing outside where you can sit and rest before wandering across the street to Piece Love and Chocolate.Going to Gypsy Jewel is shopping at its most pleasurable. It is a family business, not a faceless retail operation. It is unique to Boulder. The colors, the textures, the unexpected -- to walk into the store, to spend a few extra moments to look around, to talk with the owners, to peek into the cabinets, to try on jewel after jewel -- reminds us of why we love markets. Shopping should be fun!

Let me preface what Im about to say with the following:Ive purchased A LOT of stuff at this store. Mostly jewelry, for my wife, because she really loves their stuff. But then we decided to branch out and get something different than jewelry. We decided to purchase a quilt.Well, once we got it home we noticed some small stains on it-- and we loved the quilt so much that we probably would have lived with that-- but then we noticed the spot where it was frayed and decided to return it for a refund because a frayed spot will only worsen with time. The owners daughter was an extremely nasty woman and refused a refund. She said they would only offer store credit and wouldnt be swayed from that position, despite the fact that they sold us a crappy piece of merchandise. Now, in my book-- if you sell something that turns out to be crap and a LOYAL customer who has spent a LOT of money in your store, calls you on it-- you should give them their money back, regardless of whatever policy youre trying to rigidly stick to. Simply because they are a loyal customer. Its simply a good business policy to take care of your loyal customers.Apparently Gypsy Jewel feels differently. So now were sitting on a $200 store credit for a place neither one of us want to spend any more money at, because of their attitudes.I cant promise that my wife will never shop there again, but I sure as hell will not.So... fair warning to all of you.Inspect anything you buy thoroughly before you give them your hard-earned money. If you dont, you might have to find out why theyre called gypsies.Last point to the story-- I wandered into the place a week after the incident to see if they had put the quilt up for sale again. And not only had they put it up for sale again, it was now $275 instead of $200.I guess that alone tells you everything you need to know.

I love this shop! It is always a delight to come here and be entranced with the jewels – Emeralds, Rubies, Diamonds, the rare Tanzanite. Not simply beautiful, but they understand how the stones can help energetically. I have happily spent hours looking up which stones do what and then go find a stone in the cases. Then of course I must have a scarf to go with it – not an ordinary scarf woven on a loom, but a soft scarf unsurpassed in quality knitted by women of the village. And the blankets! Light ones for summer, heavier ones for winter, colorful either bright or more subtle to suit any décor. The little statues of WhiteTara, and Ganesh adorn more than one of my shelves at home. This is my go-to-feel-good shop. Lots of love, and lots of laughter, lots of learning; a shopping experience unique the wide world over.
