Great supplier for my spa! Deb has made effort towards helping me troubleshoot an equipment issue this week! Thanks guys!
Debbie was amazing help, even though they didn’t have the product I was looking for she took time out of her day to help me find the correct business that does have what I am looking for. Awesome customer service and will definitely be buying my pool products from here.
I highly recommend Quality Pools and Spas. I wouldnt go anywhere else for pool supplies. The owner, Debbie, is very knowledgeable, helpful and positive. She has always solved all of my pool issues
Exceptional customer service!!! Whenever I need help with balancing the chemicals in my hot tub, they go out of their way to offer suggestions and insight. The staff is always willing to walk me through what I need to do to best maintain and care for my hot tub. Quality Pools and Spas is a trusted resource and an exceptional retailer. I could not be more thankful or appreciative of the care they take with their customers.
Debbie is very knowledgeable regarding pools and parts that make them work! She is also very resourceful when it comes to procuring those parts that are hard to find. With the cold front in TX a couple weeks ago, theres been a huge shortage of parts nationwide. I was looking for a Pentair WhisperFlo pump housing and Debbie was able to source it for me (when no other pool supply store in Denver/Boulder could) and she did it at a reasonable price (no price gouging or taking advantage of my situation!) She was extremely helpful throughout the process, maintained a sense of humor and educated me regarding which exact part was needed. She is now my go-to expert for anything related to pools!
Debbie was great very helpful and will definitely be using them for all my pool needs.
I don’t know how these people are still open they’re pretty much scam artists they will flake on your appointment the day of and push it back another two weeks just to not show. They do anything in their will power to not correct there mistakes. I watched the owner Debbie tell me that her warranty will only cover six months after I told her it’s been five months since it was replace she replies “oh our warranty is only cover three months”
I have been a customer of Quality Pools for 13 years and have bought my current hot tub from Quality Pools. Ive had excellent service from Debbie & her team as well as fair prices for any work completed on my current hot tub as well as my previous hot tub.Additionally, any time Ive had an issue or a question about hot tubs, I can either call or drop in the store for information. I am thankful that I have this store/resource available to me.I would highly recommend Debbie & her team for anything hot tub or pool related.
I had the most of simple of transactions, just wanted to buy chlorine chemicals to treat my Spa and they failed miserably at this simple task and would not exchange items they sold me by mistake just the day before, can you imagine what kind of customer service style they would have with a spa if they can’t even treat you right with a small purchase? Be wary.I was gonna explicitly clear that I wanted to buy granule chlorine shock and chlorine slow release tablets . I said my wife would be by the store to pick them up, I paid over the phone and she picked up the box. They said they had the right product but at the “ last minute something was changed “Instead of simply exchanging my product she offered me “deal “ after falsely accusing me of blackmailing her and speaking over me in a threatening tone when I said I would post an honest google review . She offered percent discount on the product I ordered a day ago that they had mixed up instead of just fixing their mistake.
I asked to have a service pro come out and close up my hot tub for the winter. I was quoted $80/hour and $100 for the travel fee. The tech was scheduled for 8am. He arrived at 8:20, did not come to my door, but instead started walking around my house looking for the hot tub that he could not find because its indoors. I went and found him, asked him to put on a mask for Covid, and showed him through the house to the hot tub room. He drained and shut off ther pool in 20 minutes, quickly put away his equipment and without saying good by, went to his truck. I followed him out asking about payment. I was told I would be invoiced. 4 days later i received a crack fron ther suite asking for my email to send an invoice. Before giving it, I asked to confirm that the charge was for a half hour. I was told it was an hour and without sending mer an invoice, they charged my credit card $195.71. Worst customer service and worst experience for a job that should have been straightforward and affordable.
I had to really think about what word to use to describe this company and the word is criminal. DEB the owner is not and honest person. Buyer beware here. We scheduled an annual pool opening this year. Pool was never opened and we were charged $1,000. DEB made claims that our equipment is broken, when it is not broken. They do not have the technical expertise to diagnose problems and solve them. We were charged for cleaning visits that we did not request. We have an invoice filled with incorrect charges. No one on the staff came at the correct time for schedule appointments. Every staff member lacked professionalism and communication skills. I wish I could give a negative star rating. As you read the other negative reviews and see the overall rating, the name Quality becomes ironic.Response to your incorrect response:1. You recommended the pump we use at our our pool2. Our pump has worked great for our pool and is the correct size3. Our filter is the correct size and works greatWe called Brian at Black Diamond Pools. He opened our pool and its working great. He confirmed all equipment is correct for our pool. Cost $400. Our pump needed a seal that cost about $20 to fix for “professionals” who know what they are doing. You are incompetent AND criminals. Buyer beware. You also charged our credit card $1000 without approval and threatened to put a “lien on our property”.
I have great experiences with Quality Pools they have everything I need. Also the owner Debbie is very knowledgeable and polite, which I appreciated! Its unfortunate that some of the reviews arent as good as the experience I had! Give Quality Pools a shot! They will get you right thanks! Debbie!
Deb is a crook. And her employees are under qualified. They unplugged our pump so we started the season with algae in our water. Had to find someone new and pay a whole lot of money to fix her company’s mistakes. Plus, she charged us months after we stopped using her and told us her guys told her they went to our house and that their gps proves it. Are you kidding me????? She doesn’t text, email or call. No one leaves invoices or dates/times they show up. But she takes your credit card up front and charges at will. She’s a criminal and runs her business like a crook. Beware. The reviews tell the truth.
I have shopped here for over 2 years and have spent about 5000.00 in that time,I have dealt with deb frequently and all the reviews are true,I figured I would one day have a falling out with her,and I did she tried to charge my credit card for work I did not agree to 2 months after the fact my ( my card had been cancelled due to a chase security problem) she angrily ended our conversation with pay it or don’t but I will not service your pool ever again.so guess what I’m not paying it I would have paid something because the work was done. Too bad for her, there is about 40 companies in the area that service pools one will work with me.i guess deb thinks that she will be retired by the time she has angered all the area pool owners
Hands down the most helpful and knowledgeable folks. Both Debbie, the owner, and her techs have been able to answer all of my questions and offer advice on my hot tubs maintenance, repair and operation . They have helped me keep my old spa running when other shops were only interested in selling me a new one. These people are gems!
I love my hot tub, and Deb has been kind in waving trip fees on a few service charges we had hoped were within warranty- but were user error. Occasionally communication can be a challenge, but patience and kindness go a long way, on both sides of the phone. Thank you Deb for partnering with me to have an excellent hot tub experience!
This has got to be one of the most informative and honest pool companies around. My wife and I needed a plethora of things done to our pool as we both travel and are not really here to maintain it properly we spoke with the owner Debbie and with such phenomenal and assertiveness we are back in the water..and the pool is fully functional again..I would recommend here service to anyone who needs honesty and integrity with a great deal of professionalism.
This place is fantastic. I would not think of any other place to satisfy my pool and spa needs. Debbie, the owner is so understanding and easy to work with. reasonable pricing and expert service whenever i go to Quality Pools & Spas.
Debbie fixed my hot tub over the phone! She talked me through a series of troubleshooting steps with photos and phone descriptions -- amazing since it wasnt even a tub I bought from her store. She has taken the time to educate me about the hydrogen peroxide and UV system that is new to me. She gave me a discount on the hydrogen peroxide and even brought the heavy jugs to her home for me to pick up to save me a trip to Boulder from Evergreen. When I was in the store to pick up chemicals, she went out of her way to show me how to use it all and the store was very clean, tidy and welcoming. She photocopied material about hydrogen peroxide/UV systems for me. She has promptly returned phone calls each time Ive left a message. She has been in the business for decades and shes very knowledgeable. Quality Pools and Spas and Debbie are my go-to for anything hot tub! I highly recommend doing business with Quality Pools of Boulder.
First, note the many reviews on here complaining about the same things, and Debbies responses. She truly believes this is all the fault of terrible customers and doesnt see that she is the common denominator. I wish I had read the reviews before contracting with her, but the company that put our pool in recommended Quality Pools and we just went with it.From the beginning, it was clear that Debbie runs this business in a way that makes her happy, not her customers. Right off the bat, she told me she prefers phone calls over written communication like texts or emails. I now think this is to prevent a written record. She also insisted on keeping my credit card on file and charging it without notice, and she told me there were a couple of problems with my pools design - and then told me not to tell the pool installer that she was the one who told me, because it would cause her problems. In this first conversation, she had me text her my email address, which I immediately did.The problems began when my first credit card charge was $1300, well above the $85/week I was expecting. No invoice arrived in my email. The next charge was $800, again well above estimates. The third charge was $730, and included a $160 charge for something the pool installer had asked Quality Pools to do but about which we were never informed. It was to fix one of the issues that Debbie initially told us was a problem - so it was supposed to be covered by the pool installer, not us. Since Quality Pools never told us they were doing this work, we couldnt object to being charged. In January, I called to get invoices, since our credit card charges were so high. I emailed through the website and got no response (I didnt have a direct email line, because Debbie doesnt like to email). I put my email address into the form on the website AND I wrote it into the body of my message. A few days later, I called the office and left a message asking for the invoices again. No response. Two days later, I called Debbie and left a message on her personal cell phone. No response. I finally hired another pool maintenance company and texted Debbie asking for the invoices and firing Quality Pools. Only then did I get an answer. There were excuses for every single failure to respond - including calling me a liar. I had to show them a screenshot of my phone records to prove my phone calls. It turns out they had my email address wrong, despite me texting it to Debbie and also giving it to her over the phone verbally, plus it being in my most recent email message. The one they had was a misspelling of my name and not even close to my real one in format, and they said they got it from the pool installer. Why they used that one after being told my real one, I have no idea. It took another 6 weeks after I made contact to actually get the invoices.A common refrain from Debbie is that shes running a small business, and its hard to keep up with the communication aspect. I understand its hard to run a small business, but maybe shes just not cut out for it if there are so many excuses. Not only could I not reach them when I had a problem, and they told me I didnt try hard enough (or that I was lying about the calls), they dont communicate with me when they are doing extra work. They did work on our property on the basis of someone elses request without talking to us. Before this, they had removed a bucket of chlorine on the instructions of the pool installer, and when we went to add chlorine to the pool and it was missing, we were sent on a wild goose chase for it and an urgent trip to go buy more. A simple call or email ahead of time to tell me that we needed to go get more would have been helpful. I will say that Paul, the man who did our maintenance most of the time, is great at explaining things and was very helpful and polite. He should be running the place. For further evidence (screenshots of interactions and records) and to ask clarifying questions in a reasonable and civil way, please see my Facebook review.
Not only do we refer this company to all of our clients, we use them for our home. Tired of fighting the chemistry of your hot tub? Do yourself a favor and hire Quality Pools and Spas to do regular maintenance! Its a game changer! Thanks for the great service, Paul!
Hi. We had some significant leak repair work done over a year ago on a few things I had failed to repair myself. Results have been good with no further problems. It seemed expensive at the time, but in the end seems to have been a good value.
Keeping my pool sparkling clean!
A delightful experience with a very knowledgeable young salesperson. He was genuinely looking to help, not just up sell. We will definitely be using this store again.
Debbie was wonderful! Returned my call quickly and walked me through troubleshooting my problem without a service call. Will definitely add this number to my go-to service providers.
DEBBIE IS RUDE, BOTTOM LINE. I called her for spa services and she was so busy telling me what I needed to do, she didn’t listen to anything I wanted, then when I asked if she listened to anything I asked she hung up on me..... I just read all of your reviews, maybe you should consider hiring a manager.... because you’re costing yourself business by being inattentive and unprofessional. As far as your response to this.... you have the wrong person, just goes to show, you think you know what you’re talking about, but don’t even have a clue. Another note, if you argue with all of your customers in the comments, people will know it is you to blame. Change your ways, that star rating will keep dropping, and hopefully so do your earnings, I’d love for the need for REAL QUALITY to jump into a market that you’ve turned off with poor attitude and poor services. If you didn’t reply to the wrong person I wouldn’t have edited this post. DO NOT USE QUALITY POOL
This is a HORRIBLE service DO NOT USE. Repeatedly, after every visit our Hot tub was not clean (even after waiting a day to see). They do surprise charges and Debbie is such a mean person. She will USE every excuse in the book as to why things go wrong (I.e. random charges, no show cleaning, no email notices) if a business has this many 1 star reviews you can only wonder.... the people who gave 4/5 star reviews must be friends or family of the employees.
Love this store. Sorry it is moving at least it will not be much farther away. They helped a lot with my pool. We brought a sample of the water in and Debbie tested it and told me what I needed. Sure enough it fixed my problem. Also had some hoses on my pool break and they fixed it with no problems. I referred them to a friend with a hot tub and they fixed her problem after she had 2 other companies try to fix it. I wont go any where else!
We own a property holding company, we used quality pools and spas to service multiple spas in multiple unit we own in boulder. Keep in mind this was the first time we used them. Wow, overpriced, overpriced, overpriced. We previously used Noble Pools And Spa, they were unavailable, but Quality was 3x the cost. When the owner was questioned she had excuse after excuse on what it takes for her to run her business, LOOK LADY, I run a 10 mil/yr business and the drivel out of your mouth as far as excuses is iNEXCUSABLE. you should strive to supply your customers with the best service, not the one you make the most money on. If you treat customers well they will return if you rip them off by adding on extra costs and add time that your guys arent working onto bills, and use the most expensive chemicals you can sell your company will perish. I hope for your sake that you can change, but after using your services ONE TIME ONLY, I have a feeling its not in the cards.
I called for a recommendation on a pool heater that I wanted to purchase, and have quality pool install. Keep in mind Ive used them for several services in the past.... always a little more expensive than their competitors, but im local so I shop local. Debbie told me that she didnt want to recommend something for me because she wouldnt make the money on the sale. Well, now you wont make the money on the install, or your overpriced services from me anymore either. While retail is part of your business, you must understand that you are also service based. From where Im sitting, your service 0 stars retail is overpriced. Thanks for nothin. Im reviewing your new ratings...... Seems like nothing has changed. This place still is horrible. Debbie still is horrible. I laugh out loud looking at your reviews. Youd think that you would learn, but nope. Thanks for the laughs, ps dont use this place.
I wish I could give a negative star rating. One star is too high. They are terrible. They broke our pool cover when opening our pool ($2,500) blamed it on the person who closed the pool (unlikely), charged us $1,000 to open our pool which we paid on 5/30/17 and then recharged us for the same bill today 2/7/18. We stopped using them as they were unprofessional, disorganized, and unreliable. We had requested they remove our credit card information from our account after our account was settled in June since all bills had been paid and we were using someone new. Today I received an email for an unpaid invoice and a pending charge on my credit card bill for the exact amount of our pool opening bill that was charged to my card in May. Now to add untrustworthy to the list of qualities for this organization.
Went in for a chemical test kit. The person who helped me sold me the wrong products. After I verified directly with the manufacturer and went back for a refund I was told that they dont refund chemicals.Poorly knowledgeable staff, bad attitude, and crappy policies. Buyers beware.
I had a terrible experience with this company. Very poor customer service. Use anybody but this company. Owner even made threats! People should be aware of the pitfalls when using companies to service their valuable assets. I hope they reseach past experiences before they hire. Will NEVER use them again. Nor will I refer.
I went in to this place to ask a few questions for my mother, she lives in florida, but was asking me for help. i thought i could go get some information from my local pool store and relay the info to my mom, boy was i wrong. not only did i not get any help from the owner debbie, but she yelled at me for wasting her time. this place sucks, dont go here.
Terrible! Do not use these people for service. Sent a service technician to my house that was working 5 minutes away. Within 5 minutes, I was told he could do nothing for my tub and then they proceeded to charge my 100$ for trip charge and diagnosis. When I spoke with Debbie the owner she told me the cost was for gas to drive 5 minutes.
These people are TERRIBLE. They sent out a technician who let my dogs out then ran out on the job before it was finished after realizing what he had done. Nevermind that we never received any paperwork or a bill of any kind (just a charge on a credit card) and I had to spend four hours chasing down dogs but they refused to reimburse any part of the charge! In the end I was charged $170 for them to change a filter and flip a switch, let my dogs out, leave the cover off, not drain the tub or fix the chemicals. Rude, unprofessional, fraudulant - beware!!!
I bought a pool pole here for $65.00. Afterwards I was in McGuckins and found one for $49.00 Wow, that teal color on the one at Quality Pools and Spas must really be special. So, a few days later I tried to return the one from Quality pools and Spas. It had remained in my car with plastic sleeve since I purchased it. The woman disagreed and said that the numbers written in black marker did not match the one on my reciept. She then took off the sleeve (the one that had been on it since it was placed in my car not done by me, as I DID NOT USE IT) ) and found a dent so she would not return it. WIll never go back there again! Its rare that you find something cheaper at McGuckins I should have also remembered that you can find just about everything there before purchasing the overpriced teal pole at Quality!
Terrible customer service and GROSS incompetence on the service end!! DO NOT use this company!! The owner, Debbie, WILL NOT listen to customers and hangs up on them when she says what she wants to say!! They dont stand behind their products or service! Heres a list of negligence we received from a contractor that came out to fix Qualitys mistakes:They removed the old gas heater when they installed the new heater and they didn’t cap the gas line. The ground wire installation was not stripped back where it went into ground buss so the ground wire to the heater wasn’t really grounding. No GFI BreakerThe bonding wire was not attached to the air blowerThe bonding wire was not attached the spa pumpHeater failure is most likely due to suction air leak at spa pump union. The PH was 7.6 which is within the range 7.2-7.8 so basically perfect. The heater was wired in #14 wire and should be #10 wire on a 30 amp GFI.No O Ring in Chlorinator lidThey plumbed it in backwards with the flow going the wrong way.
I have never experienced a business that is so unprofessional and terrible in my life. I have never written a review, good or bad, but this is just cause. Stay far away from this place of business.
TOTALLY UNPROFESSIONAL!! I used Quality Pools to service my pool and pond in Boulder for about a year. During that short period Debbie, the owner who does her own billing, double charged me for a pool pump, overcharged me for the amount of hours her men were on-site, and made SEVERAL major accounting errors which made life very complicated. In addition, many of her invoices came in to me 6 months AFTER services were done and then she DEMANDED immediate payment (that day). When I told her I would not pay immediately because, yet again, there was another accounting inconsistency on the invoice and I told her I wanted to look over the records, her response was that she would put a LIEN on my house (which is for sale) if she didnt receive payment IN FULL (mistakes and all) by the following week.Anyone who chooses to do business with Quality Pools need to keep a meticulous eye on what they are being billed for, whether the numbers add up, and whether time billed is actually the amount of time worked!!!! Plus, dont be surprised when you go to do your year end accounting and most of your bills from Quality Pools have not even been sent out 6 months or more later! I have had 4 pools at 4 different homes and I have never encountered such profound lack of professionalism in my life!
Friendly and knowledgeable!
Absolutely trash!
