Probably one of the best meat shops in the country. Definitely not the cheapest but the quality vs price makes up for it.

I stopped through on my way to Glacier NP for Elk Sausage, Brats and their homemade beef jerky. Excellent customer service and amazing products. Highly recommended!

I love this little gem. They are really friendly, ready to answer your questions, and have a great selection.I particularly want to toast their goat gyro meat. It is quick to cook up, one frozen packet can easily feed 2-4 adults depending on size of the packet, and assuming it will be made with a pita and condiments. It really hits the spot and is a bit addictive. Other products such as wine, veges, etc., not always, but can be on the pricier side, but this is not the stores primary function and some of the other products are nicer quality than easily found at a grocery market. There are enough essentials available for a one-stop-shop dinner of high quality if you are in a tight rush.It is a great selection of meat available and a charming shop as well. You gotta check out this nice local gem.

Locally sourced meat. If you want it they can get it for you. Great cuts, decent prices, and good people. Dont forget the beef jerky, Its some of the best!

Just finished up dinner after having fresh ribeye and top sirloin steak. Better than any restaurant weve been to in ages and we have really enjoyed some steakhouses in the area. This is my favorite store in Bozeman - great quality products and even better customer service. All of the meats are locally sourced and you can’t go wrong from the store made sausages, steaks or even the corn dogs - it fantastic. I won’t buy meat any where else. 10/10 recommend.

Great jerky, great cuts of meat, highly recommend!

We brought in a < five gallon bucket of deer meat that was boned out, and very clean just for grinding into burger and packaging into 1 pound size. It took them 2 MONTHS to do this, and were not responsive to multiple inquiries about the status of our meat. We havent eaten any of it yet, but I sure hope it is actually the same deer meat I spent a lot of time deboning and cleaning up. It worries me that someone else got our meat and we got who knows what after that much time. Then, my husband tried to pay with a debit card, and was told they would prefer cash.Guess investing in our own grinder might be an idea.

Grew up in Boston, and lived for twenty one years in Northern CA. No real butcher shop/seafood place with exceptional fresh cut meats in Bozeman that I’ve found. Ross augers is good for seafood, Heebs fresh mart just carries choice cuts and not much selection. If you want First Cut, Prime Grade, bone in prime rib, go directly to Daniels. Great staff, quick checkout and butcher quality meats.

Fantastic place to buy fresh meats. I really like their snack sticks. Better than mass market ones for sure. They also have some harder to find items like rainbow trout.

Little pricey but you get what you pay for, excellence in meats. The smoked turkeys around Thanksgiving are the absolute best. Wish they always had it.

I go to Daniels once a week to pick up meat for the week. They have the highest quality meat you’ll find around. Their staff is extremely knowledgeable, and always help out when I can’t make up my mind.

Daniels knows the true meaning of hospitality. The employees are genuinely friendly and extremely knowledgeable about their products. There is always something fun to try in the way of specialty meats and marinades. One of my favorite is the honey ale porkchops.

The Jerkey is CRAZY GOOD. Especially the grand champion. All the other steaks and meats are pretty sexy as well.

Absolutely the best elk sticks, brats, and summer sausage I have ever had the pleasure to snack on. Super clean facility, and you get 100% of your own meat back. If you take pride in keeping your meat clean and enjoying every bite this is your go-to place for the best processing in Montana. Worth every penny.

Just getting into smoking meats and went to Daniels to hopefully get some professional advice on the best meats to smoke. The gentleman that helped us was friendly enough, but I got a lot of I dont knows to the questions I was asking. I decided to start with a pork butt as I heard theyre pretty simple and who doesnt like pulled pork. After selecting and paying for a boneless pork butt we left. When I started preparing the butt for smoking I realized that it was a bone in butt. It turned out fantastic, but I paid more fore the boneless and got a bone in. I did go in one other time and get help from the same guy, but that time there was no questions I knew what I wanted and just grabbed it and left. No complaints that time.

I was referred to Daniels by a friend for jerky. Found a diverse selection and great customer service.

The local, grass fed ribeyes were gone. ☹️ But they had a nice selection of other fresh beef. (The object of my desire, beef.) In addition to the beef, there was a wide assortment of foul, pork, sausages and meat sticks. How can you go wrong with a place that has a meat cleaver for a door handle.

Taking a direct recommendation from the owner, Austin Daniels, we got bone-in ribeyes for better flavor, and boy was he right. Each cut of steak was enough for 3 of us. I’ve only been in the shop twice so far to get a ham, bacon, and bone in ribeyes. Everything has been great including the friendly service. Best place to get a steak in town.

I usually process my own deer and elk, but after my meat grinder broke mid deer I was relieved to find out Daniels meats has great deals for processing boneless game meat. Instead of spending a lot of money taking your animal to traditional game processors I recommend packaging your own steaks and roasts and taking your burger trim to Daniels. They can do a straight grind and leave packaging to you for $1/lb or theyll package it for you for $1.50/lb. On top of that, they have exceptionally friendly and attentive service.

We stopped by 3 times in 5 days while skiing Bridger. Their housemade corned beef was beyond amazing, the Pepper Jerky is addicting, and the Prime T-Bone was one of the best Ive ever had(we bought 8 of them for 16 of us). Keep up the great work!

A meat and upscale ingredient wonderland

Very nice people, very helpful. Was given samples of meat sticks as soon as I got inside the door. Austin gave me an explanation of how the meat was grass fed and how the sausages were smoked and made. The products were reasonably priced and fresh meat especially was excellent quality. Im pretty sure this place will become a regular stop.

They support 4-H, they bought a few animals at the sale last year, we love that! We buy our meat there regularly. Very, very high quality meats, friendly staff and clean! My daughter was making a suet project for a sale and they helped us get lard and suggested the recipe! They have earned our business.

We stopped by and bought some Northwood Smoked Sausage and some bacon cheddar brats that were excellent! Our family makes homemade sausage as well, and we bought a hank of sausage casings from him and they were very high quality. The shop is very clean, orderly and beautiful and we cant wait to try more products. This is going to become a favorite very quickly!

My first trip to Daniels was OUTSTANDING! Great prices on GREAT meat. Love the Chipotle Lime Bacon. My next trip was for a prime rib and believe me we were not disappointed. Both times the customer service was above and beyond my expectations. Guys are really friendly and not afraid to share some of their meats with you as you wander around the store. Looking forward to picking up our turkey for Thanksgiving. This is the only meat shoppe that we will buying our meat from.

Today we went to Daniels Gourmet Meats and Sausage for the first time and purchase a standing rib roast for the holidays. The service was fantastic and friendly. They went over the top to show us the best way to prepare and cook the roast. We are anxious to make this a weekly stop. Cant recommend enough!

Best meat shop in town! Last week we bought a bacon warped brisket and slow cooked it with a home made honey balsamic sauce, and it was gone in 15 minutes. Today we got a pre smoked rack of ribs, steamed it for 20 minutes and honesty, it was the best ribs weve ever had. My 2 year old (who is a very picky eater) loves the meat sticks from here and Daniels makes snack time super easy. Good prices, great meat, easy dinners. This place is awesome! Such a great addition to Bozeman!

Weve patroned here for the past couple of years and our most recent bulk order - a purchase for the local Warriors & Quiet Waters foundation meals - was a record success. Their ribs, tri-tip, chicken and pork butt cooked beautifully and the quality of the meat shown through in its final taste. One of the warriors even went back for 4 helpings of the tri-tip saying it was the best steak he had ever had... and he does all the grilling at home. Pretty cool. This is the best and freshest meat I have found. I drive from West Yellowstone to get my meat here. The prices are great and they will even vacuum pack it for you so it stays fresher in the freezer.

This is an amazing meat shop! Everything is super fresh, and the cuts are imaginative and interesting. The butchers are the best, and super helpful. The smoked pork chops are only available every other week, but look for them, they are incredible camping food: you just warm them up and youve got an amazing dinner. The chipotle bacon is superb, the steak cuts the best in Bozeman. If you like to cook, youll love this place.

Ive been looking for a specific cut of beef to make cheesesteaks with. Ive always heard it called chip steak. I couldnt find it in MT. Being from the Philadelphia area, you could say Im picky about my cheesteaks.Daniels told me no problem. They explained the process they had to go through to get me what I wanted and told me it would take a few days.The owner called me when it was ready and I picked it up. I honestly thought it would be more expensive; they had to pay someone to complete my custom order and we all know labor isnt free.I made cheesesteaks for a Sunday lunch and it was fantastic. The meat sometimes has a gamey taste that you have to season away, not this time.Thanks for giving me a taste of home.I too am a small business owner and think its as important to tell people when they are doing something right as it is when they are doing something wrong, and Daniels is doing something right.
