Just your typical Mexican Food Market. As soon as you enter the front doors, theres a little buffet area where the will whip up a burrito or taco for you.
Great customer service. He was very helpful. I dont speak or read Spanish. But I had no problem finding what I needed. Great service
I LOVE coming here on the weekends to get my street tacos. They have an assorted of different meets. Its the closest thing to getting some real Mexican anything here. And if u like the Mexican cold coffee they have hear...the guys r super sweet and nice
They had everything I was looking for and more. Definitely going to be my go to store.
I find all of my favorite Mexican foods and spices here! Also, their weekend taco shop is the best I have found in the area. It is genuine!
One of my favorite Mexican markets with a large selection of food and I love the bakery!
Great selection for making Mexican always friendly cant wait to go on a Saturday and check out the Mexican food buffet.
The place to get authentic Mexican products but what makes it is rhe employees . The nicest people on the planet. Check it out
The BEST Mexican store Ive EVER been to!
Wish they had more customers and expanded. The Latin grocery stores in Las Vegas were the best and this is the closest I can get.
I LOVE HISPANIC CUISINE, AND IVE FOUND THAT SOMETIMES HARD TO FIND ITEMS ARE AVAILABLE HERE GOOD SERVICE I DO HIGHLY RECOMMEND.
Best tacos in town on Saturday and Sunday! The food is amazing here. Lot of people have no idea they have such good food here. Tavos are amazing but you can also get smoked chicken that are amazing. The also have really good Tamales! I cant say enough good about this store!
Awesome place you find everything you need..
Im not sure who is paying people to write positive reviews for their TACOS!! These tacos are worse that Taco Bell!! We tried the carnitas, Al Pastor, and Asada tacos and they had no flavor. We tried adding salsa and made them even worse. If you care about tacos, seek others on Cherokee St or venture over to Jack In The Box!! Seriously, stay away from these tacos, the rest of the store is cool!!
Best tacos Ive had outside of Mexico! Store is also very cute and well stocked, employees are all extremely nice.
This place was wonderful! Id heard of this for a while and finally got to stop by. I tried a variety of their tacos and they were all great! The salsas and variety of toppings went really well with the tacos. I was especially impressed with the amount of meat heaped onto each taco. Id highly suggest the Asada, Chicken, and Carnitas. Itd be nice if they had some chips so you could try the different salsas, but I guess you could just go inside and buy a bag before hand :)
Great selection of purified Mayan Temple products of Quetzalcoatl. They have Nectar liquor and Daimona tea that is good as well. Kata Ton Daimona confiscated some other secret Mayan Tea and I can’t go back until next week to get some more Roe Bro Nectar dudes.
Love this store and there street tacos are the bomb.
I came is to get street tacos, what I left which was a great meal!
Tacos on weekends are good
Very nice place to get authentic tacos quesadillas tamales etc also if you cook Spanish food an looking for anything specific they have it here
This store has the best beef in town..
Really good tacos.
Ive never written a review for any place but after multiple negative experiences with this place I felt that people need to know what theyre walking into. I used to always go out of my way to go to this store because it had so many great things but quality has gone down hill and the store owners simply just dont care anymore. This is my last time going since no changes will ever be made. The carts are not sanitized. There are no wipes or any sanitizing liquid in sight. When I walked in the first thing I saw were the tortillas. A young man was unpacking them so I assumed they were somewhat fresh. The first pack I got was expired, the 2nd pack was about to expire 08/10/2020 so I kept looking. All the tortillas the man was unpacking were about to expire and I told him. All he said was that it was a new shipment and he continued to put them on the shelf. Next up was the produce, most of it looked old and there were flies all over. I thought maybe the pan dulce would be decent. We asked the baker which bread was from today and he pointed us to it. As soon as i opened the door even more flies started going everywhere. I decided to test my luck with the packaged pastries unfortunately all of them were expired or about to be expired. When we got to the register to pay, the man didnt say a single word or even look at me. He only spoke to tell me my total.. We left the store with only a couple of items and unfortunately we will have to find a new place to shop at. They lack respect and quality. Its such a disappointment and a waste of time to even go there. Save your time and visit the smaller shops that treat their customers with respect and actually care about what they are selling
I just want to make people aware that this store is not sanitary. People have found maggots in their food, flies all over the sweet bread & cockroaches. To make matters worse customer service is horrible, cashier won’t even smile and say hi back to you. Very unsatisfied unfortunately 😒
Being from the desert southwest finding this place was like finding a piece of home. Its a wonderful Hispanic market. I love everything about it. Best in house chorizo Ive ever had.
Wow, best lengua taco Ive ever had. The grocery store also has a fantastic bakery and overall the largest selection in the area for all the goods !
The guys that sold the chicharrones by the meat section were super nice and super friendly. The price is very reasonable. I love going there.
Very authentic tacos great taste and are packed with meat!!!!
This is a great place to do to get an authentic Mexican grocery store to find seasonings that you will not find at the regular grocery store. The prices are great and awesome customer service,
I Love this place ❤😁
Picked up few items
A really well stocked Mexican grocer with an in-house bakery and butcher counter. On weekends, they also make to-go food and have a taco stand in the front of the store, which is delicious. I will be returning for sure.
Popped in for some hot sauce on a sat. and they had there grill going at the entrance. I was dumbfounded at the price and the amount of meat, i got 3 beef tacos to go. I had went in and got my hot sauce, the guys handed my bag to me on my way out and I had to ask if it was mine it weighed so much. What I thought was going to be a quick snack was a great meal, Excellent! (Ask for extra tortillas)
Always find everything I need and them some. I love that I can find candy and snacks that I havent had since I was a kid. Love this store!
The street tacos available at the weekend taco stand here are the best Ive ever had in my life. Authentic street tacos that no restaurant in the area has come close to matching, and for a good price - a couple bucks each - and theyre loaded. Fresh house made salsas, vegetables, cilantro, etc. all available for no charge. They sell their salsa in store as well, and it is by far my favorite salsa - tons of flavor, spicy, and fresh. The pastries from their in house bakery are great as well, even though half the time Im just grabbing things based on appearance. They also carry a handful of meat cuts and produce you cant find in most stores in the city.
Nice place to shop. The employees serve with a lot of hospitality and professionalism. Their product selection is gorgeous and the pricing is acceptable.
Excellent carnitas on Saturdays and Sundays I call it the Mexican Schnucks. Also have their own bakery and make their own chorizo
Nice place to shop. The employees serve with a lot of hospitality and professionalism. Their product selection is gorgeous and the pricing is acceptable.
Great place to grab things you cant find in other grocery stores. Definitely check out their salsa. They offer three kinds - Verde, red, and a guacamole Verde. They are definitely not for the faint of heart. Also try their street tacos on the weekends. Some of, if not the best St. Louis has to offer.
Being here in this area for 30 years, Taco Bell was our Mexican place. With Morelia here its a Godsend. The fresh meat selection is to die for. Dont worry if u dont speak Spanish. They understand finger pointing. Walk down every aisle.
Everything you need for your Mexican cooking complete with a Taqueria just inside the front door you can take lunch home with you. We found they have the best barbecued chicken anywhere. It comes with grilled onions and jalapenos. All you need is get a tub of refried beans and Mexican rice while you are there and you have your own Mexican restaurant at home
Meat department smells funny and they charge my debit card twice said theres nothing they could do about it
Never been here but may visit later
Very good customer service and organized market.
This place is one of the better Mexican markets in the area. The butcher is full service and has many staples of regional cooking. On Saturday there is a street taco vendor that serves excellent tacos of all types. Highly recommended.
Good tasting tacos weekend only.
The food is amazing. From New York city and when I got there it reminded me of my roots. Mexican carnitas, tamales are delicious.🙌🤩
A good place to get Mexican foods and groceries. On the weekends they have fresh foods cooked that ate delicious. They accept credit cards with minimum purchase. One recommendation I would give is that for those who do not live close if they could get an email list going to send out sales for the week which would be great for those who would like to frequent the store more. Prices are a little high likely due to the cost of some imported goods. If you are looking anything for Mexican cuisine youll be able to find it here.
3 atmosphere everybody was pretty nice
I love going here. Always something interesting and delicious. Reminds me of many of the foods I grew up on in Texas.
Well, its a Mexican market and as close to the mercados back home that we will ever get.Theres a decent meat counter in back, hot Mexican breads and rolls baken on the weekends and a nice assortment Id prepared meats. There are also frozen tamales in the freezer. When you first enter the store, there is a little street style, taco stand. I really wanted to try the tacos, but it was a hellishly hot day and the flies were everywhere. Nothing was covered and no one was attempting to run the flies off, so I gave it a hard pass. There is also an agua fresca stand, opposite the tacos and my watermelon water was good... Pricey but good.Half the staff were friendly but the other half were slightly better than worse, especially the youngish dude serving the prepared meat. He was totally rude and very hard to understand and Im a Mexican who was speaking Spanish to him. Whatever.
Very disappointed. Wish they would treat customers in a respectful way.
This is a great market, with all of the Mexican ingredients one could ever hope for. The butcher shop has the best meats for tacos. Be sure to stop by on Saturday or Sunday; you can order tacos to eat at a little seating area inside, or you can get carnitas or roasted chicken to go (along with beans and rice). My husband loves their menudo, which comes with all the accompaniments. The staff are very welcoming and helpful to newcomers and regulars alike. El Morelia offers everything you need for a good meal (their cooking or yours) and a good time.
Friendly people and their pastor meat is the best.
I visited an authentic taco bar in Texas loved it. Yesterday I went to El Morelia. The taco bar was much better and after I got my first beef taco. I went back to get another. My sisters and I love, love the tacos. I will visit again on the weekend and try the other taco meats and next trip go into the store.
Excellent latino store. Its the best one in all of St. Louis.
I love this place!
Authentic Mexican food available for your home. Try the Pollo Loco, its chicken thats been marinated for hours! If you like spicy, try any of their house made salsas. Theres even an ice cream counter with flavors you wont find elsewhere
Very authentic Mexican food & grocery. Pan is fresh and stellar selection even in the weekday evening.
Great food good tacos great prices
Love this place. My spainsh is not so great but they worked with me to give me great service. Will go back for sure.
If you want to buy real Mexican grocery and souvenir plus good food during weekends only this is the place.
Best Mexican Butcher Shop Ever!
They have an amazing selection of items and the prices are very affordable. Give them a try today!
Place is real good, they have a lot of mexican products at good prices. And some good deals on certain items. The only thing is if you use a card they have a $10 min purchase.
The only super Mercado I know here in Missouri just reminds me of home I love my raizes
Great place to buy Hispanic/Latino groceries
One of the best international groceries in St. Louis; it is the Mexican version of Olive Supermarket. Huge selection of goods and foods, including an excellent butchery. Their pre-marinated meats make for great grilling. Their weekend taco stand is OUTSTANDING.
Best store for Mexican groceries in area. The staff is very nice and helpful and they serve amazing food on the weekends as well.
This place has everything I have a Mexican girlfriend the smile on her face said it all they also have top-notch Mexican liquors its like a supermarket a meat market a restaurant a bakery all-in-one they have everything
While visiting Missouri from Mexico, I needed corn husks for making tamales. After searching dozens of places, I finally found them here. I felt like I was back home! This place was wonderful! My kids had been very home sick and this place put a smile on their faces! Very authentic, even carrying the same brands we get in Mexico.
This place was really cool. The arachera meat was price good. They also carry a great variety of Mexican produce and other Mexican foods. Will definitely recommend. 12 limes for 2 dollar. Where else can you find stuff like that, not Walmart.
They have a lot of products you can find at other stores in the area.
Love the market. Bad part is flies in sweet roll/donut area.
Good meat department. Good tortillas. Nice little restaurant and ice cream parlor inside. Great tequila selection.
Great street tacos on the weekend.
Love this place! Great Mexican grocery store. On Saturday and Sunday they sell tacos.... amazing!
These guys had some of the best tacos Ive had in a long time and Im from Texas and Ill tell you they got it going on up here thanks for the real good food..
They have delicious hand dipped ice cream in regular flavors and tropical flavors like coconut, mango and mamey they also have meat counter Mexican tacos and carnitas and chícharos and a great assortment of Mexican products and sweet breads.
I do not like their staff. The prices are expensive. Their sweet potatoes leave a bad taste in your system.
Good tacos!!!
I was there the pasted sunday and i could taste the Tacos al Pastor, mmm delicious! I bough bread home made and mmm delicious as well as all i bought there!
When i first walked in the carts weren’t sanitized and there was any hand sanitizer or wipes to clean them down second the tortillas had mold on them and the corn flower near the meat had holes on them made from rats the bread has flies and roaches on them and the customer service was bad as well
So many amazing things in this store.
Was able to find exactly what I was looking for!
This place is everything Mexican so if you looking its there
Great weekend street tacos, in-house Mexican pastries, extensive butcher selection, imported Mexican cookware.. Wanna almost feel like youre in Mexico, come here!
High prices on things you can get at walmart way cheaper.
The store in general is fine, but the weekend taco sell are not what i expected.
We are from Phx. AZ and have been looking for a great Mexican Market. This is it! Great food on Saturdays too
It was great and the service excellence
This store pretty much has every ingredient for traditional Mexican food that youll ever need. The building is old but dont let that deter you from shopping there.
