Horrible experience with Lonnie. The back and forth process to get a custom window quoted and on order took weeks only to have the size be wrong when I received it. Very specific dimensions and pictures were provided via phone and email and the window was still botched. What should have been a quick install turned into a 4 hour re-framing and trimming ordeal because of Fairview’s mistake. No recourse or compensation was offered and my issue was met with extreme rudeness. After asking around I found this is the typical experience with Fairview. Wish I’d have checked before instead of trusting.Editing my review in response to the owner: Your info is untrue. I ordered 46 5/8”. I specifically stated the window could be no wider with Lonnie. I have emails to prove this. The window arrived at 47 1/2”. That’s on you.Such poor customer relations.
Leigh at Fairview was highly recommended to me by a builder friend, so I was excited to have him supply the interior millwork on my next project. He came to the job after drywall was complete and provided an entire range of samples for my client to feel and see in person, rather than just picking from a book or pictures online. He even went as far as to sketch an entire cased opening profile on the wall so that my detailed oriented client felt comfortable pulling the trigger on a certain group of profiles. Having Leigh and Fairview as part of my team is a huge value-add, and I’m excited once again to have them supply my next several homes. I would highly recommend this organization if you’re a builder or homeowner south of Boston.
Top notch staff...always a pleasure buying building materials here
Leigh has been helpful guiding us through the remodeling process. He has done his best ordering supplies as they were needed.and being mindful of our budget. We will use him again.
STAY AWAY! I am not one to write negative reviews about a company, my opinion is mistakes happen but its how a business deals with them that really matters. I purchased Kemper cabinets through my GC in the spring of 2020 for a complete gut kitchen remodel and purchased the upgraded plywood boxes at the recommendation of my GC. The cabinets showed up and all the boxes were particle board. Additionally, the sink base cabinet was completely damaged yet cabinet marking indicated that it had been inspected. If you know much about kitchen remodels, having a damaged base cabinet is possible the worst thing that can happen as it delays the entire project. I never received any kind of apology from Fairview and, this is the part that really got me, they didnt consider me the customer. Since the cabinets were purchased through my GC, they refused to communicate with me regarding the replacement for the base cabinet as well as the refund for the incorrect box construction; everything had to be dealt with through my GC. I made repeated attempts to call them and was always told that only my GC could be involved in the resolution. Our project was frozen for nearly 2 months without any indication from them as to when the replacement cabinet would ship. Additionally, I was owed a reimbursement for the difference in box construction. Fairview told my GC that once all the cabinets were installed, they would issue a reimbursement and an additional refund for the headache. I have no idea why they forced us to wait, other than hoping I would just forget about it and go away. I have still yet to receive my refund and Fairview Millwork has been sitting on $1k of my money for 7 months now. Do yourself a favor and look elsewhere, you dont want to take the chance and go through what my family went through.
I had the pleasure of working with Lonnie. I sent Lonnie a door I liked and he matched it up perfectly to what I was looking for. Lonnie also recommended a contractor who’s team did a fantastic job installing it.
My builder suggested that I visit Fairview Millwork & Kitchens to select a moulding for cove and ceiling. The young lady who greeted me was very professional, but the salesman would not assist me without my builder being present. His comment was your builder should have come with you. He knows what you need. In fact, my builder told me exactly what to look for in selecting a moulding to my taste. The salesman needs some training in interpersonal relations. I wonder how many customers have walked out, never to return. I will be ordering my products from a competitor of Fairview. I do not recommend this company. The single star is for the young lady who was helpful.
Salesman is very responsive and knowledgeable. Fast response.
They never returned my emails requesting information on their products. They are apparently too busy dealing with contractors to speak with homeowners about their small projects.
Initially had some issues with the sales person I was working with which I would not recommend the salesperson, but the management team has been fantastic to help remedy challenges with damaged cabinets and granite counter top.
Great products and service. Assisted me to select a replacement for an old slider door and I installed an attractive french glass door with sidelights. Highly recommend. Forget the big-box warehouse stores!
Top of the line products. Beats home depot by a mile. Costs more but last longer
Great staff and they truly know their products
